INTRODUCTION

Hatco Glo-Rite®Display Lights are durable and effective light strips ideal for use in food preparation, holding and display areas.

The lights are made of extruded aluminum housings with bright annealed reflectors for maximum brightness and feature shatter-resistant incandescent lights. Each unit comes equipped for mounting and electrical hook-up along with a Power I/O (on/off) switch for operator control.

Hatco Display Lights are products of extensive research and field testing. The materials used were selected for maximum durability, attractive appearance, and optimum performance. Every unit is inspected and tested thoroughly prior to shipment.

This manual provides the installation, safety, and operating instructions for Display Lights. Hatco recommends all installation, operating, and safety instructions appearing in this manual be read prior to installation or operation of a unit.

Safety information that appears in this manual is identified by the following signal word panels:

WARNING indicates a hazardous situation which, if not avoided, could result in death or serious injury.

CAUTION indicates a hazardous situation which, if not avoided, could result in minor or moderate injury.

NOTICE is used to address practices not related to personal injury.

Read the following important safety information before using this equipment to avoid serious injury or death and to avoid damage to equipment or property

ELECTRIC SHOCK HAZARD:

• Unit must be installed by a qualified electrician. Installation must conform to all local electrical codes. Installation by unqualified personnel will void unit warranty and may lead to electric shock or burn, as well as damage to unit and/or its surroundings.

• Consult a licensed electrical contractor for proper electrical installation conforming to local electrical codes and the National Electrical Code (N.E.C.).

• Turn OFF power at fused disconnect switch/circuit breaker and allow unit to cool before performing any cleaning, adjustments, or maintenance.

• DO NOT submerge or saturate with water. Unit is not waterproof. Do not operate if unit has been submerged or saturated with water.

• Do not clean unit when it is energized or hot.

• Unit is not weatherproof. Locate unit indoors where ambient air temperature is a minimum of 21°C (70°F).

• Do not steam clean or use excessive water on the unit.

• This unit is not “jet-proof” construction. Do not use jetclean spray to clean this unit.

• This unit must be serviced by qualified personnel only. Service by unqualified personnel may lead to electric shock or burn.

• Use only Genuine Hatco Replacement Parts when service is required. Failure to use Genuine Hatco Replacement Parts will void all warranties and may subject operators of the equipment to hazardous electrical voltage, resulting in electrical shock or burn. Genuine Hatco Replacement Parts are specified to operate safely in the environments in which they are used. Some aftermarket or generic replacement parts do not have the characteristics that will allow them to operate safely in Hatco equipment.

FIRE HAZARD: Locate unit the correct distance from combustible walls and materials. If safe distances are not maintained, discoloration or combustion could occur.

EXPLOSION HAZARD: Do not store or use gasoline or other flammable vapors or liquids in the vicinity of this or any other appliance.

Make sure all operators have been instructed on the safe and proper use of the unit.

This unit is not intended for use by children or persons with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities. Ensure proper supervision of children and keep them away from the unit.

Use only light bulbs that meet or exceed National Sanitation Foundation (NSF) standards and are specifically designed for food holding areas. Breakage of light bulbs not specially-coated could result in personal injury and/or food contamination.

This unit has no “user-serviceable” parts. If service is required on this unit, contact an Authorized Hatco Service Agent or contact the Hatco Service Department at 414-671-6350; fax 414-671-3976.

Standard and approved manufacturing oils may smoke up to 30 minutes during initial startup. This is a temporary condition. Operate unit without food product until smoke dissipates.

Use non-abrasive cleaners and cloths only. Abrasive cleaners and cloths could scratch finish of unit, marring its appearance and making it susceptible to soil accumulation.

Glo-Rite®Display Lights are specially designed to give long lasting, trouble-free service. The lights are made of extruded aluminum housings and feature bright annealed reflectors for maximum brightness. Each unit comes equipped for mounting and electrical hook-up along with a Power I/O (on/off) switch for operator control.

Models are available in lengths from 457 mm (18") to 1829 mm (72") and are available with additional lamp assemblies for greater illumination. An adjustable angle mounting bracket is also available.

Display Lights come standard with shatter-resistant 60 watt bulbs to enhance product display while safeguarding food products from bulb breakage.

INSTALLATION

Suspension Mounting

Adjustable Angle Bracket Mounting

Mounting a display light with adjustable angle brackets permanently attaches the unit to the underside of a shelf. Units can be mounted to a flat shelf or a shelf with rolled/flanged edges.

Use the following procedure to install adjustable angle brackets on each end of the unit.

1. Position the unit on a flat surface on its side with the Power I/O (on/off) switch facing up.

2. Remove the two top screws on the end of the unit.

3. Align the adjustable angle bracket with the mounting holes.

4. Secure the angle bracket with the previously removed screws.

5. Fasten the angle brackets to the underside of the shelf using appropriate fasteners (not supplied by Hatco).

Suspension Mounting

Suspension mounting attaches a display light to an overhead surface determined by a qualified installer.

For installation with chains, make sure the chains have sufficient strength and are securely fastened to both the unit and the mounting location. Poorly installed chains may cause the unit to loosen and fall. Do not place anything on top of units installed with chains.

1. Prepare the overhead mounting system for suspension mounting. Make sure the system is secure and is set up so the unit will be suspended at a level, safe, and proper distance from walls, counter, and food.

2. Suspend the unit using the two suspension holes on both of the suspension brackets.

3. Carefully lift the unit and attach each end of the unit to the overhead mounting system. Make sure the unit is level.

Adjustable Angle Bracket Installation

Electrical Information

Hatco provides a 1/2" trade size knockout opposite the Power I/O (on/off) switch, 152 mm (6") long pigtail wire leads, and a separate grounding terminal in the wiring compartment.

For correct installation, provide supply wires rated for at least 90° C (194° F) from a properly sized fused disconnect or circuit breaker conforming to local electrical codes. Use UL recognized wire nuts rated for at least 90° C (194° F) and properly sized for connection.

Consult a local licensed electrical contractor if you have any questions on proper installation. Refer to the Electrical Rating Chart for specific information.

General

Use the following information to operate a Display Light.

Startup

1. Move the Power I/O (on/off) switch to the I (on) position. The display lights will illuminate.

MAINTENANCE

1. Move the Power I/O (on/off) switch to the O (off) position.

2. Perform the “Daily Cleaning” procedure in the MAINTENANCE section of this manual.

Daily Cleaning

To preserve the finish of the unit as well as maintain performance, it is recommended that the unit be cleaned daily.

Use non-abrasive cleaners and cloths only. Abrasive cleaners and cloths could scratch finish of unit, marring its appearance and making it susceptible to soil accumulation.

1. Turn off the unit and allow it to cool completely.

2. Wipe down all metal surfaces using a

soft, clean, damp

cloth. Stubborn stains may be removed with a non-

abrasive cleaner. Hard to reach areas should be cleaned with a small brush and mild soap.

Replacing a Display Light Bulb

Use the following procedure to replace a light bulb. To order replacement incandescent light bulbs, use Hatco P/N

02.30.043.00 for 120 V bulbs or P/N 02.30.058.00 for 240 V bulbs.

1. Turn off the unit, disconnect from the power circuit, and allow the unit to cool.

2. Bulbs have a threaded base. Unscrew the light bulb from the unit and replace it with a new specially coated incandescent bulb.

TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE

ELECTRIC SHOCK HAZARD: Turn OFF power at fused disconnect switch/circuit breaker and allow unit to cool before performing any cleaning, adjustments, or maintenance.

Symptom Probable Cause Corrective Action

Unit is turned on, but not working.

Light is inadequate. Light bulb(s) burned out. Replace light bulb(s). Refer to procedure in

Circuit breaker tripped. Reset circuit breaker.

I/O (on/off) switch defective. Contact Authorized Service Agent or Hatco for

Supply voltage to unit is incorrect. Verify the supply voltage to the unit matches the unit

specifications.

Internal electrical malfunction. Contact Authorized Service Agent or Hatco for

assistance.

MAINTENANCE section.

Unit mounted too high above target area. Lower unit, putting effective light closer to target.

Supply voltage to unit is incorrect. Verify the supply voltage to the unit matches the unit

specifications.

Remote Toggle Switch

A remote toggle switch is available in lieu of the factory installed Power I/O (on/off) switch.

Extended Electrical Leads

Extended electrical leads are available in lengths of 305 mm (1’) to 6096 mm (20’) and only available as a factory installed option.

Adjustable Angle Bracket

Adjustable angle brackets are available as accessories for permanently attaching the unit to the underside of a shelf.

INTERNATIONAL LIMITED WARRANTY

1. PRODUCT WARRANTY

Hatco warrants the products that it manufactures (the “Products”) to be free from defects in materials and workmanship, under normal use and service, for a period of one (1) year from the date of purchase when installed and maintained in accordance with Hatco’s written instructions or 18 months from the date of shipment from Hatco. Buyer must establish the Product’s purchase date by registering the Product with Hatco or by other means satisfactory to Hatco in its sole discretion.

Hatco warrants the following Product components to be free from defects in materials and workmanship from the date of purchase (subject to the foregoing conditions) for the period(s) of time and on the conditions listed below:

THE FOREGOING WARRANTIES ARE EXCLUSIVE AND IN LIEU OF ANY OTHER WARRANTY, EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE OR PATENT OR OTHER INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHT INFRINGEMENT. Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, SUCH WARRANTIES DO NOT COVER: Coated incandescent light bulbs, fluorescent lights, heat lamp bulbs, coated halogen light bulbs, halogen heat lamp bulbs, xenon light bulbs, LED light tubes, glass components, and fuses; Product failure in booster tank, fin tube heat exchanger, or other water heating equipment caused by liming, sediment buildup, chemical attack, or freezing; or Product misuse, tampering or misapplication, improper installation, or application of improper voltage.

2. LIMITATION OF REMEDIES AND DAMAGES

Hatco’s liability and Buyer’s exclusive remedy hereunder will be limited solely to replacement of part or Product using, at Hatco’s option, new or refurbished parts or Product by Hatco or a Hatcoauthorized service agency with respect to any claim made within the applicable warranty period referred to above. Hatco reserves the right to accept or reject any such claim in whole or in part. In the context of this Limited Warranty, “refurbished” means a part or Product that has been returned to its original specifications by Hatco or a Hatco-authorized service agency. Hatco will not accept the return of any Product without prior written approval from Hatco, and all such approved returns shall be made at Buyer’s sole expense. HATCO WILL NOT BE LIABLE, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, FOR CONSEQUENTIAL OR INCIDENTAL DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LABOR COSTS OR LOST PROFITS RESULTING FROM THE USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE PRODUCTS OR FROM THE PRODUCTS BEING INCORPORATED IN OR BECOMING A COMPONENT OF ANY OTHER PRODUCT OR GOODS.

SERVICE INFORMATION

The warranty on Hatco Glo-Rite®Display Lights is for one year from date of purchase or eighteen months from date of shipping from Hatco, whichever occurs first.

If you experience a problem with a Display Light during the warranty period, please do the following:

Contact Local Hatco Dealer

When contacting the Hatco dealer for service assistance, please supply the dealer with the following information to ensure prompt processing:

• Model of unit

• Serial number (located on the front of the unit)

• Specific problem with the unit

• Date of purchase

• Name of business

• Shipping address

• Contact name and phone number

The Hatco dealer will do the following:

• Provide replacement part(s) as required

• Submit warranty claim to Hatco for processing

Non-Warranty Problems

If you experience a non-warranty problem that requires assistance, please contact the nearest Authorized Hatco Service Agency.

Bei Glo-Rite®von Hatco handelt es sich um langlebige und effiziente Leuchten für Lebensmitteltheken, die sich hervorragend für den Einsatz in Bereichen zum Zubereiten, Temperieren oder Präsentieren von Lebensmitteln eignen.

Die Leuchten bestehen aus einem Gehäuse aus extrudiertem Aluminium sowie einem emaillierten Reflektor für maximale Helligkeit und verfügen über splittersichere Glühlampen. Jedes Gerät wird montage- und anschlussfertig inklusive I/O-Schalter (ein/aus) ausgeliefert.

Die Leuchten für Lebensmitteltheken von Hatco sind das Produkt ausgiebiger Forschung und Erprobung. Die verwendeten Materialen wurden ausgewählt, um lange Lebensdauer, gute Optik und optimale Leistung zu erzielen. Jedes Gerät wurde vor der Auslieferung ausführlich überprüft und getestet.

Dieses Handbuch enthält Anweisungen zur Installation, Sicherheit und Bedienung der Leuchten für Lebensmitteltheken. Hatco empfiehlt, alle in diesem Handbuch enthaltenen Einbau, Sicherheits- und Bedienungsanweisungen vor der Installation und Inbetriebnahme zu lesen.

Vor der Anwendung dieser Ausrüstung lesen Sie die folgenden wichtigen Sicherheitsinformationen, um ernste Verletzung oder Tod zu vermeiden und Schaden der Ausrüstung oder des Eigentums zu vermeiden.

GEFAHR VON ELEKTROSCHOCKS:

• Das Gerät darf nur von einem qualifizierten Elektriker installiert werden. Der Einbau muss alle örtlichen elektrischen Vorschriften erfüllen. Bei Installation durch unqualifizierte Personen erlischt die Garantie des Geräts und elektrischer Schock oder Verbrennungen sowie Beschädigungen des Geräts und/oder der Umgebung können die Folge sein.

• Wenden Sie sich an einen autorisierten Elektrofachmann, um einen elektrischen Anschluss gemäß lokaler Vorschriften sowie gemäß dem National Electrical Code (N.E.C.) zu gewährleisten.

• Schalten Sie die Stromversorgung mit dem gesicherten Netzschalter aus und lassen Sie das Gerät abkühlen, bevor Sie es reinigen, einstellen oder warten.

• Tauchen Sie das Gerät NICHT in Wasser und reinigen Sie das Gerät NICHT mit übermäßig viel Wasser. Das Gerät ist nicht wasserdicht. Es darf nicht betrieben werden, wenn es in Wasser getaucht oder mit übermäßig viel Wasser gereinigt wurde.

• Reinigen Sie das Gerät nicht, wenn es sich in Betrieb befindet oder heiß ist.

• Das Gerät ist nicht witterungsfest. Stellen Sie das Gerät in einem Raum an einer Stelle auf, an der die Umgebungstemperatur mindestens 21 °C beträgt.

• Reinigen Sie das Gerät nicht mit Dampf oder übermäßig viel Wasser.

• Dieses Gerät ist nicht für direktes Absprühen mit einem Wasserstrahl geeignet. Es darf nicht mit einem Sprühstrahl gereinigt werden.

• Reparaturen am Gerät dürfen nur von qualifiziertem Personal durchgeführt werden. Von unqualifiziertem Personal durchgeführte Reparaturen können zu Stromschlägen oder Verbrennungen führen.

• Verwenden Sie bei der Reparatur von Hatco Geräten ausschließlich Hatco Ersatzteile. Wenn Sie keine Original-Hatco-Ersatzteile verwenden, werden alle Garantien ungültig und Sie setzen die Bediener der Geräte möglicherweise gefährlichen elektrischen Spannungen aus, welche zu Stromschlag oder Verbrennungen führen können. Original-HatcoErsatzteile sind für den sicheren Betrieb unter den gegebenen Einsatzbedingungen ausgelegt. Manche Ersatzteile anderer Hersteller oder Nachbauteile verfügen nicht über die geforderten Eigenschaften und funktionieren nicht sicher in Hatco Geräten.

BRANDGEFAHR: Stellen Sie das Gerät in angemessener Entfernung zu entzündlichen Wänden und Materialien auf. Wenn sichere Entfernungen nicht eingehalten werden, können Verfärbungen entstehen oder brennbare Stoffe können sich entzünden.

EXPLOSIONSGEFAHR: Lagern und verwenden Sie in der Nähe dieses Geräts oder ähnlicher Anlagen kein Benzin oder andere brennbare Gase oder Flüssigkeiten.

Sicherstellen, dass alle Bediener im sicheren und fachgerechten Gebrauch des Geräts geschult sind.

Dieses Gerät ist nicht für den Gebrauch durch Kinder oder Personen mit eingeschränkten körperlichen, sensorischen oder geistigen Fähigkeiten vorgesehen. Für eine ordnungsgemäße Beaufsichtigung von Kindern sorgen und diese von dem Gerät fern halten.

Verwenden Sie nur Glühlampen, die den Bestimmungen der NSF (National Sanitation Foundation) entsprechen und speziell für Bereiche bestimmt sind, in denen Speisen bereitgehalten werden. Zu Bruch gehende Lampen ohne Spezialbeschichtung können zu Verletzungen von Personen und zur Kontamination der Speisen führen.

Falls eine Reparatur dieses Geräts erforderlich sein sollte, wenden Sie sich an Ihren autorisierten Hatco Servicebetrieb oder an die Hatco Serviceabteilung unter +1-414-671-6350 (Telefon) oder +1-414-671-3976 (Fax).

Die bei der Herstellung verwendeten Öle können bis zu 30 Minuten nach dem ersten Einschalten zu Rauchbildung führen. Dabei handelt es sich nur um einen vorübergehender Zustand. Betreiben Sie das Gerät ohne Speisen, bis die Rauchbildung vorüber ist.

Verwenden Sie nur nichtscheuernde Reinigungsmittel und Tücher. Scheuernde Reinigungsmittel und Tücher können die Geräteoberfläche zerkratzen und so deren Erscheinungsbild beeinträchtigen und sie anfällig für Verschmutzungen machen.

Allgemeines

Die Angaben im folgenden Abschnitt betreffen die Vorbereitungen zur Installation der Leuchte für Lebensmitteltheken Glo-Rite

• Wenden Sie sich an einen autorisierten Elektrofachmann, um einen elektrischen Anschluss gemäß lokaler Vorschriften sowie gemäß dem National Electrical Code (N.E.C.) zu gewährleisten.

Stellen Sie das Gerät unter Einhaltung der richtigen Thekenhöhe an einer geeigneten Stelle auf. Der Aufstellungsort sollte eben sein, um versehentliches Umkippen des Geräts bzw. Herausfallen des Inhalts zu verhindern, und standfest genug, um das Gewicht von Gerät und Speisen zu tragen.

3. Installieren/montieren Sie das Gerät an einem geeigneten Ort. a. Informationen zur hängenden Montage finden Sie unter

Hängende Montage

Bei der hängenden Montage wird die Leuchte an einer von einem qualifizierten Monteur festgelegten oben liegenden Fläche befestigt.

Bei der Montage mit Ketten ist darauf zu achten, dass die Ketten ausreichend stark sind und sowohl am Gerät als auch am Aufstellungsort sicher befestigt werden. Bei unsachgemäß befestigten Ketten kann sich das Heizgerät lösen und herabfallen. Legen Sie keine Gegenstände auf ein an Ketten befestigtes Gerät.

1. Bereiten Sie die Aufhängung für die hängende Montage vor. Achten Sie auf die Sicherheit des Systems und stellen Sie sicher, dass das Gerät waagerecht und in sicherem Abstand von Wand, Theke und Speisen angebracht wird.

2. Hängen Sie das Gerät an den beiden Aufhängebohrungen der beiden Befestigungsplatten auf.

3. Heben Sie das Gerät vorsichtig hoch und befestigen Sie es an beiden Seiten an der Aufhängung. Achten Sie darauf, dass das Gerät waagerecht ist.

Hängende Montage

Montage mit einstellbarem Befestigungswinkel

Bei der Montage einer Leuchte mit einem verstellbaren Befestigungswinkel wird das Gerät fest an der Unterseite eines Regals befestigt. Die Leuchte kann an einem flachen Regal oder an einem Regal mit abgerundeten oder gebördelten Kanten angebracht werden.

Gehen Sie zum Montieren von verstellbaren Befestigungswinkeln an beiden Enden des Geräts wie folgt vor.

1. Positionieren Sie die Leuchte so auf einer ebenen Fläche, dass der I/O-Schalter (ein/aus) nach oben gerichtet ist.

2. Drehen Sie an der Stirnseite der Leuchte die beiden oberen Schrauben heraus.

3. Richten Sie den verstellbaren Befestigungswinkel zu den Befestigungsbohrungen in der Leuchte aus.

4. Befestigen Sie den Winkel mit den vorher entfernten Schrauben.

5. Befestigen Sie die Winkel mit geeignetem Befestigungsmaterial (nicht im Lieferumfang) an der Unterseite des Regals.

Anbringen der verstellbaren Befestigungswinkel

Informationen zum elektrischen Anschluss

Hatco stellt eine standardmäßige 12 mm (1/2") große Ausbrechöffnung gegenüber des I/O-Schalters (ein/aus), ein 152 mm (6") langes Anschlusskabel sowie einen separaten Masseanschluss im Anschlussfach bereit.

Verwenden Sie für eine ordnungsgemäße Installation Versorgungskabel, die auf Temperaturen von mindestens 90 °C (194 °F) ausgelegt sind und die am gegenüberliegenden Ende an einen ordnungsgemäß bemessenen und entsprechend den lokalen Vorschriften abgesicherten Trenn- oder Leistungsschalter angeschlossen sind. Verwenden Sie UL-konforme Leitungsanschlussmuttern, die auf Temperaturen von mindestens 90 °C (194 °F) sowie auf den jeweiligen Anschluss ausgelegt sind.

Wenden Sie sich an einen lokalen autorisierten Elektrofachmann, wenn Sie Fragen zum ordnungsgemäßen Anschluss haben. Gerätespezifische Informationen finden Sie in den TECHNISCHEN DATEN.

Allgemeines

Verwenden Sie die folgenden Anweisungen zum Betrieb der Leuchte.

Lesen Sie alle Sicherheitshinweise im Abschnitt WICHTIGE SICHERHEITSHINWEISE, bevor Sie das Gerät verwenden.

Allgemeines

Die Leuchten für Lebensmitteltheken sind auf maximale Lebensdauer und optimale Leistung bei minimalem Wartungsaufwand ausgelegt.

GEFAHR VON ELEKTROSCHOCKS:

• Schalten Sie die Stromversorgung mit dem gesicherten Netzschalter aus und lassen Sie das Gerät abkühlen, bevor Sie es reinigen, einstellen oder warten.

• Reinigen Sie das Gerät nicht, wenn es sich in Betrieb befindet oder heiß ist.

• Reinigen Sie das Gerät nicht mit Dampf oder übermäßig viel Wasser.

• Dieses Gerät ist nicht für direktes Absprühen mit einem Wasserstrahl geeignet. Es darf nicht mit einem Sprühstrahl gereinigt werden.

Tägliche Reinigung

Um die Oberfläche des Geräts zu schützen und die Leistung zu bewahren, ist es empfehlenswert, das Gerät täglich zu reinigen.

Einschalten

1. Stellen Sie I/O-Schalter (ein/aus) auf „I“ (ein). Die Leuchte für Lebensmitteltheken beginnt zu leuchten.

Ausschalten

1. Stellen Sie den I/O-Schalter (ein/aus) auf „O“ (aus).

2. Führen Sie die „tägliche Reinigung“ durch, wie im Abschnitt „Wartung“ in dieser Anleitung beschrieben.

Bedienelemente

WARTUNG

1. Schalten Sie das Gerät aus, und lassen Sie es vollständig abkühlen.

2. Wischen Sie sämtliche Metalloberflächen mit einem weichen, sauberen und feuchten Tuch ab. Hartnäckige Flecken lassen sich mit einem milden, nicht scheuernden Reinigungsmittel entfernen. Schwer zu erreichende Stellen sollten mit einer kleinen Bürste und einer milden Seifenlösung gereinigt werden.

Austauschen des Leuchtmittels

1. PRODUKTGARANTIE

Hatco gewährleistet, dass die von ihr hergestellten Produkte (die "Produkte") bei normalem Gebrauch und Einsatz für einen Zeitraum von einem (1) Jahr ab dem Kaufdatum keinerlei Materialfehler aufweisen werden, vorausgesetzt, dass sie gemäß der schriftlichen Anleitung von Hatco installiert und gewartet wurden, bzw. für einen Zeitraum von 18 Monaten ab dem Datum der Lieferung durch Hatco. Der Käufer muss das Kaufdatum des Produkts bestätigen, indem das Produkt bei Hatco registriert wird, oder durch andere Maßnahmen, die ausschließlich nach eigenem Ermessen von Hatco als zufrieden stellend angesehen werden.

INTRODUCCIÓN

Las luces de pantalla Glo-Rite®de Hatco son tubos de luces durables y efectivos ideales para usar en la preparación de alimentos y en áreas de espera y exhibición.

Las luces están hechas con carcasas de aluminio extruido con reflectores templados brillantes para un máximo brillo y cuentan con luces incandescentes resistentes a los impactos. Lea la siguiente importante información de seguridad para evitar lesiones personales o la muerte, y para evitar daños al equipo o la propiedad.

PELIGRO DE DESCARGA ELÉCTRICA:

• La unidad debe ser instalada por un electricista calificado. La instalación debe realizarse de acuerdo con los reglamentos eléctricos locales. Una instalación realizada por personal no calificado anulará la garantía de la unidad y podría provocar descargas eléctricas o quemaduras, así como daños a la unidad o sus alrededores.

• Consulte con un contratista eléctrico con licencia para ver la instalación eléctrica adecuada según los códigos eléctricos locales y el Código Eléctrico Nacional (N.E.C.).

• Apague la alimentación del disyuntor/interruptor de desconexión conectado y permita que la unidad se enfríe antes de realizar la limpieza, los ajustes o el mantenimiento.

• NO sumerja ni sature la unidad con agua. La unidad no es impermeable. No opere la unidad si ésta se sumergió o saturó con agua.

• No limpie la unidad cuando esté energizada o caliente.

• La unidad no es a prueba de intemperie. Coloque la unidad en interiores donde la temperatura del aire ambiente sea de un mínimo de 21° C (70° F).

• No limpie con vapor ni use agua en exceso en la unidad.

• Esta unidad no tiene una construcción “a prueba de chorros”. No use un pulverizador de limpieza a chorro para limpiar la unidad.

• La unidad solamente debe recibir mantenimiento por parte de personal calificado. El mantenimiento llevado a cabo por personal no calificado puede provocar descargas eléctricas o quemaduras.

• Use sólo repuestos Hatco originales cuando se necesite realizar mantenimiento. En caso de no utilizase repuestos Hatco originales, se anularán todas las garantías y se puede someter a los operadores del equipo a voltajes eléctricos peligrosos, dando como resultado descargas eléctricas o quemaduras. Los repuestos Hatco originales están especificados para operar en forma segura en los entornos en los que se usan. Los repuestos de mercado secundario o genéricos no cuentan con las características que les permiten operar en forma segura en los equipos Hatco.

INSTALACIÓN

Montaje suspendido

Montaje en soporte angular ajustable

El montaje de una luz de pantalla con soportes angulares ajustables conecta en forma permanente la unidad a la parte inferior de un estante. Las unidades pueden montarse en un estante plano o en un estante con bordes de ranuras/bridas.

Utilice el siguiente procedimiento para instalar los soportes angulares ajustables en cada extremo de la unidad.

1. Posicione la unidad en una superficie plana sobre su lado con el interruptor de encendido y apagado (I/O) apuntando hacia arriba.

2. Retire los dos tornillos superiores en el extremo de la unidad.

3. Alinee el soporte angular ajustable con los orificios de montaje.

4. Asegure el soporte angular con los tornillos que quitó previamente.

5. Ajuste los soportes angulares a la cara inferior del estante usando sujetadores adecuados (no suministrados por Hatco).

Montaje suspendido

El montaje suspendido conecta una luz de pantalla a una superficie superior determinada por un instalador calificado.

Para la instalación con cadenas, asegúrese de que las cadenas tengan suficiente potencia y estén aseguradas con firmeza a la ubicación de montaje y a la unidad. Las cadenas instaladas incorrectamente pueden provocar que la unidad se afloje y se caiga. No coloque nada sobre las unidades instaladas con cadenas.

1. Prepare el sistema de montaje superior para el montaje suspendido. Asegúrese de que el sistema sea seguro y esté configurado de modo que la unidad quede suspendida a una distancia nivelada, segura y apropiada de las paredes, encimera y alimentos.

2. Suspenda la unidad utilizando los dos orificios de suspensión en ambos soportes de suspensión.

3. Eleve la unidad con cuidado y conecte cada extremo de la unidad al sistema de montaje superior. Asegúrese de que la unidad esté nivelada.

Instalación del soporte angular ajustable

Información Eléctrica

Hatco ofrece un troquel de tamaño comercial de 12 mm (1/2".) opuesto al interruptor de encendido y apagado (I/O), conectores de cables trenzados largos de 152 mm (6") y un terminal de conexión a tierra separado en el compartimiento de cableado.

Para una instalación correcta, utilice cables de suministro calificados para al menos 90° C (194° F) desde una desconexión por fusible o disyuntor adecuados según los códigos eléctricos locales. Utilice tuercas para cables reconocidas por UL para al menos 90° C (194° F) y con el tamaño adecuado para la instalación.

Puesta en funcionamiento

1. Coloque el interruptor de encendido y apagado (I/O) en la posición I (encendido). Las luces de pantalla se iluminarán.

MANTENIMIENTO

Generalidades

Las luces de pantalla están diseñadas para ofrecer durabilidad y desempeño máximos con un mantenimiento mínimo.

1. Coloque el interruptor de encendido y apagado (I/O) en la posición O (apagado).

2. Realice el procedimiento de “Limpieza diaria” que se describe en la sección Mantenimiento de este manual.

Controles

Limpieza Diaria

Para preservar el acabado de la unidad y mantener el desempeño, se recomienda limpiar la unidad a diario.

PELIGRO DE DESCARGA ELÉCTRICA:

• Apague la alimentación del disyuntor/interruptor de desconexión conectado y permita que la unidad se enfríe antes de realizar la limpieza, los ajustes o el mantenimiento.

• NO sumerja ni sature la unidad con agua. La unidad no es impermeable. No opere la unidad si ésta se sumergió o saturó con agua.

• No limpie la unidad cuando esté energizada o caliente.

• No limpie con vapor ni use agua en exceso en la unidad.

• Esta unidad no tiene una construcción “a prueba de chorros”. No use un pulverizador de limpieza a chorro para limpiar la unidad.

1. Apague la unidad y permita que se enfríe completamente.

2. Limpie todas las superficies metálicas con un paño suave, limpio y húmedo. Las manchas difíciles pueden quitarse usando un producto de limpieza no abrasivo. Las zonas difíciles de alcanzar deberán limpiarse utilizando un cepillo pequeño y jabón neutro.

Reemplazo de la bombilla de la luz de pantalla

Utilice el siguiente procedimiento para reemplazar una bombilla de luz. Para pedir bombillas de luz incandescente de reemplazo, utilice Hatco N°. de pieza 02.30.043.00 para bombillas de 120 V o N°. de pieza 02.30.058.00 para bombillas de 240 V.

1. Apague la unidad, desconectarse del circuito de potencia, y permita que se enfríe completamente.

2. Las bombillas poseen una base roscada. Desenrosque la bombilla de la unidad y reemplácela por una nueva bombilla de luz incandescente especialmente recubierta.

2. LIMITACIÓN DE REMEDIOS Y DAÑOS

La responsabilidad de Hatco y los derechos del Comprador descritos a continuación se limitarán exclusivamente al reemplazo de la pieza o del Producto empleando, a discreción de Hatco, piezas nuevas o restauradas o un Producto nuevo o restaurado por Hatco o uno de sus centros de servicio autorizados siempre que la reclamación se haya efectuado dentro de los plazos de garantía mencionados anteriormente. DANGER DE DÉCHARGE ÉLECTRIQUE :

• L'appareil doit être installé par un électricien qualifié. L'installation doit être conforme à l'ensemble des réglementations électriques locales. Une installation par un personnel non qualifié aura pour conséquence une annulation de la garantie de l'appareil et peut entraîner une décharge électrique ou une brûlure, ainsi que des dommages pour l'appareil et/ou ses alentours.

• Consultez un électricien agréé pour l'accomplissement d'une installation électrique appropriée conformément aux réglementations nationales (National Electrical Code) et locales relatives à l'électricité.

• Mettez hors tension au niveau de l'interrupteur à fusible/disjoncteur et laissez l'appareil refroidir avant d'effectuer toute opération de maintenance, tout réglage ou tout nettoyage.

• NE PAS immerger l’appareil ni le saturer d’eau. L’appareil n’est pas étanche à l’eau. Ne pas le faire fonctionner s’il a été immergé ou saturé d’eau.

• L’appareil n’est pas à l’épreuve des intempéries. Placer l’appareil à l’intérieur à une température ambiante de 21°C (70°F) minimum.

• Ne pas nettoyer à la vapeur ni utiliser trop d’eau sur l’appareil.

• Cet appareil n’est pas étanche aux jets. Ne pas utiliser de jet sous pression pour nettoyer l’appareil.

• Ne pas nettoyer l’appareil lorsqu’il est sous tension ou chaud.

• Pour les réparations, utiliser exclusivement des pièces de rechange Hatco d’origine. Utilisez des pièces détachées Hatco authentiques sous peine d'annuler toutes les garanties et d'exposer l’utilisateur à des tensions électriques dangereuses pouvant entraîner une électrocution ou des brûlures. Les pièces de rechange Hatco d’origine sont conçues pour fonctionner sans danger dans les environnements dans lesquels elles sont utilisées. Certaines pièces de rechange génériques ou de second marché ne présentent pas les caractéristiques leur permettant de fonctionner sans danger dans la matériel Hatco.

Cet appareil ne doit pas être utilisé par des enfants ou des personnes avec des capacités physiques, sensorielles ou mentales diminuées. Assurez-vous que les enfants sont bien surveillés et tenez-les à l'écart de l'appareil.

Assurez-vous que tous les opérateurs ont été formés à l'utilisation sûre et correcte de l'appareil.

N'utilisez que des ampoules électriques qui correspondent ou qui surpassent les normes de la Fondation Nationale des Affaires Sanitaires (NSF) et qui sont spécifiquement conçues pour les espaces de conservation des aliments. Les bris d'une ampoule non équipée d'un revêtement adapté peuvent provoquer des dommages corporels et/ou une contamination des aliments.

La réparation de cet appareil doit être confiée exclusivement à du personnel qualifié. Les réparations par des personnes non qualifiées peuvent provoquer des décharges électriques et des brûlures.

Les graisses standard et approuvées utilisées lors de la fabrication peuvent provoquer des fumées au cours du démarrage initial pendant 30 minutes. Il s'agit d'un état temporaire. Utilisez l'appareil sans produit alimentaire jusqu'à ce que la fumée disparaisse.

Utilisez uniquement des nettoyants non abrasifs et des chiffons doux. Les chiffons et nettoyant abrasifs pourraient rayer la finition de l'unité, altérant son apparence et la rendant vulnérable à l'accumulation de saleté.

DANGER DE DÉCHARGE ÉLECTRIQUE :

1. Retirer l'appareil de sa boîte.

NOTA: Pour éviter un retard de service sous garantie,

enregistrez la garantie en ligne. Pour des détails, voir la section INFORMATIONS IMPORTANTES POUR LE

PROPRIÉTAIRE.

2. Retirer le ruban et le film de protection de toutes les

surfaces de l'appareil.

3. Installez/montez l'unité dans un endroit approprié. a. Pour une installation en suspension, veuillez vous

référer à « Montage en suspension » dans cette partie.

b. Pour une installation permanente de ce dispositif,

veuillez vous référer à « Montage avec des équerres de fixation réglables » dans cette partie.

Montage en suspension

Montage avec des équerres de fixation réglables

Le montage d'un tube d'éclairage avec des équerres de fixation réglables fixe de manière permanente l'appareil sur le côté inférieur d'un plateau. Les appareils peuvent être montés sur un plateau plat ou sur un plateau avec des bordures enroulées ou retournées.

Suivez la procédure suivante pour installer des équerres de fixation réglables sur chaque extrémité du dispositif.

1. Placez le dispositif sur le côté sur une surface plane avec l'interrupteur d'alimentation I/O (marche/arrêt) dirigé vers le haut.

2. Retirez les deux vis du haut de l'extrémité du dispositif.

3. Alignez l'équerre de fixation réglable avec les orifices de montage.

4. Fixez l'équerre à l'aide des vis que vous avez enlevées.

5. Fixez la cornière sous l'étagère en utilisant les fixations adaptées (non fournies par Hatco).

Montage en suspension

Le montage en suspension fixe un tube d'éclairage en dessous d'une surface déterminée par un installateur qualifié.

Pour l'installation avec des chaînes, assurez-vous que les chaînes sont suffisamment résistantes et qu'elles sont solidement fixées à la fois sur l'appareil et sur le support de montage. Des chaînes mal installées peuvent entraîner le relâchement et la chute du réchauffeur. Ne rien placer sur le dessus des réchauffeurs installés avec des chaînes.

1. Préparez le système de montage en dessous d'une surface pour le montage en suspension. Assurez-vous que le système est sécurisé et est installé de manière à ce que l'appareil soit suspendu à un niveau et à une distance sécurisée et adaptée des murs, du comptoir et des aliments.

2. Suspendez le dispositif à l'aide des deux orifices de suspension présents sur les deux supports de suspension.

3. Soulevez soigneusement le dispositif et fixez chaque extrémité de l'unité sur le système de montage en dessous d'une surface. Assurez-vous que l'appareil est à niveau.

Installation de la cornière ajustable

Informations électriques

Hatco fournit une entrée défonçable de taille standard 12 mm (1/2 po) opposée à l'interrupteur d'alimentation I/O (marche/arrêt), des fils de raccord flexibles de 152 mm (6 po) de long et une borne de terre séparée dans le compartiment de câblage.

Pour une installation correcte, utilisez des fils d'alimentation prévus pour au moins 90°C (194°F) provenant d'un disjoncteur de circuit ou d'un sectionneur porte-fusibles de dimension appropriée conformément aux réglementations locales relatives à l'électricité. Utilisez des capuchons de connexion homologués UL prévus pour au moins 90°C (194°F) et de dimension appropriée pour le raccordement.

Mise en marche

1. Mettez l'interrupteur d'alimentation I/O (marche/arrêt) en position « I » (marche). Les tubes d'éclairage s'allument.

Généralités

Les tubes d'éclairage sont conçus pour une durabilité et des performances maximum avec un minimum de maintenance.

Arrêt

1. Réglez l'interrupteur d'alimentation I/O (marche / arrêt) en position « O » (arrêt).

2. Effectuez la procédure de « nettoyage quotidien » décrite dans la section Maintenance de ce manuel.

Nettoyage quotidien

Pour préserver la finition de l'appareil et maintenir la performance, il est recommandé de nettoyer tous les jours l'appareil.

DANGER DE DÉCHARGE ÉLECTRIQUE :

• Mettez hors tension au niveau de l'interrupteur à fusible/disjoncteur et laissez l'appareil refroidir avant d'effectuer toute opération de maintenance, tout réglage ou tout nettoyage.

• NE PAS immerger l’appareil ni le saturer d’eau. L’appareil n’est pas étanche à l’eau. Ne pas le faire fonctionner s’il a été immergé ou saturé d’eau.

• Ne pas nettoyer à la vapeur ni utiliser trop d’eau sur l’appareil.

• Cet appareil n’est pas étanche aux jets. Ne pas utiliser de jet sous pression pour nettoyer l’appareil.

• Ne pas nettoyer l’appareil lorsqu’il est sous tension ou chaud.

Cet appareil ne contient aucune pièce réparable par l’utilisateur. Si cet appareil doit être réparé, contacter un réparateur Hatco agréé ou le Service après-vente Hatco au 800-558-0607 ou 414-671-6350 ; télécopieur 800-690-2966; télécopieur internationale 414-671-3976.

1. Mettre l'appareil hors tension et laisser refroidir l'appareil.

2. Nettoyez toutes les surfaces en métal à l'aide d'un chiffon doux, propre et humide. Les tâches persistantes peuvent être retirées à l'aide d'un détergent non-abrasif. Les recoins difficiles d'accès devront être nettoyés à l'aide d'une petite brosse et de savon doux.

Remplacement du tube d'éclairage

Appliquez la procédure suivante pour remplacer une ampoule. Pour commander des ampoules à incandescence de rechange, utilisez le numéro de référence Hatco 02.30.043.00 pour les ampoules de 120 V ou le numéro de référence 02.30.058.00 pour les ampoules de 240 V.

1. Mettez l'appareil hors tension, débranchez l'alimentation électrique puis laissez refroidir l'appareil.

2. Le culot des ampoules est fileté. Dévissez l'ampoule de l'appareil, et remplacez-la par une nouvelle ampoule à incandescence recouverte d'un enduit spécial.

2. LIMITATION DES REMÈDES ET DOMMAGES

La responsabilité de Hatco et le recours exclusif de l'acheteur cidessous seront limités seulement au remplacement de tout ou partie du produit en utilisant, au choix de Hatco, les pièces neuves ou remises à neuf ou le produit par Hatco ou un organisme de réparations agréé Hatco à l'égard de toute réclamation faite dans le délai de la garantie applicable mentionée ci-dessus. INTRODUZIONE

Le lampade professionali Hatco Glo-Rite®sono pannelli luminosi efficaci e di lunga durata, perfetti per le zone di preparazione, conservazione ed esposizione dei cibi.

Le lampade hanno un corpo in alluminio estruso dotato di riflettori temperati lucidi per la massima luminosità e contengono luci a incandescenza infrangibili. Ogni unità è fornita con i componenti per il montaggio e il collegamento elettrico, nonché con un interruttore di accensione (I/O) per consentire il controllo da parte dell’operatore.

PERICOLO DI SCOSSA ELETTRIC:

• L'unità deve essere installata da un elettricista qualificato. L'installazione deve rispettare tutte le normative elettriche locali. L'installazione da parte di personale non qualificato annulla la garanzia dell'unità e può portare a folgorazioni o ustioni, nonché a danni all'unità e/o a ciò che la circonda.

• Rivolgersi a un elettricista qualificato per eseguire l’installazione elettrica in conformità alle norme locali e, negli USA, al National Electrical Code (N.E.C.).

• Disattivare l'alimentazione dell'interruttore di scollegamento/interruttore di circuito e attendere che l'unità si raffreddi prima di eseguire la pulizia, le regolazioni o la manutenzione.

• NON immergere in acqua o inzuppare d’acqua. L’unità non è impermeabile. Non usare l’unità se è stata immersa in acqua o inzuppata d’acqua.

• Non pulire l’unità quando è collegata all’alimentazione o quando è calda.

• L’unità non è a prova di intemperie. Sistemare l’unità al chiuso in un posto in cui la temperatura ambiente sia un minimo di 21°C (70°F).

• Non pulire a vapore o usare una quantità eccessiva d’acqua sull’unità.

• La costruzione di questa unità non è a prova di getto. Non usare spruzzi a getto per pulire l’unità.

• La manutenzione dell'unità deve essere eseguita esclusivamente da personale qualificato. La manutenzione da parte di personale non qualificato può causare shock o ustioni.

• Nell’eseguire interventi sull’unità usare solo pezzi di ricambio originali di Hatco. Ogni inadempienza nell'uso di pezzi di ricambio originali Hatco renderà nulle le garanzie e può determinare tensioni elettriche pericolose per gli operatori generando scosse elettriche o ustioni. I pezzi di ricambio originali di Hatco sono necessari per un funzionamento sicuro negli ambienti d’uso previsti. Alcuni pezzi di ricambio generici o di altri produttori non possiedono le stesse caratteristiche e non consentono il funzionamento degli apparecchi Hatco in condizioni di sicurezza.

Utilizzare solo lampadine che soddisfino pienamente o eccedano gli standard della National Sanitation Foundation (NSF) e sono ideati in modo specifico per aree destinate alla conservazione degli alimenti. La rottura delle lampadine non rivestite in modo speciale potrebbe provocare lesioni personali e/o contaminazione degli alimenti.

Gli oli di produzione standard e approvati potrebbero causare la fuoriuscita di fumo per i primi 30 minuti di avvio. Questa condizione è temporanea. Azionare l'unità senza prodotti alimentari fino al dissolvimento del fumo.

Usare solo panni e detergenti non abrasivi. Detergenti e panni abrasivi potrebbero graffiare la finitura dell'unità, rovinandone l'aspetto e rendendola sensibile all'accumulo di sporcizia.

Le lampade professionali Glo-Rite®sono progettate per garantire numerosi anni di servizio ininterrotto. Le lampade hanno un corpo in alluminio estruso e dispongono di riflettori temperati lucidi per la massima luminosità. Ogni unità è fornita con i componenti per il montaggio e il collegamento elettrico, nonché con un interruttore di accensione (I/O) per consentire il controllo da parte dell’operatore.

I modelli disponibili hanno lunghezze variabili fra 457 mm (18") e 1829 mm (72") e possono essere integrati con gruppi di lampade supplementari per un’illuminazione ancora maggiore. È inoltre disponibile una staffa di montaggio angolare regolabile.

Le lampade professionali sono fornite con lampadine infrangibili da 60 watt che esaltano i prodotti in esposizione, proteggendoli al contempo dalla rottura della lampadina.

1. Rimuovere l'unità dalla scatola.

2. Rimuovere il nastro e la pellicola protettiva da tutte le

superfici dell'unità.

INSTALLAZIONE

Montaggio in sospensione

Montaggio della staffa angolare regolabile

Il montaggio di una lampada professionale mediante staffe angolari regolabili permette di fissare l’unità alla parte inferiore di una mensola. Le unità possono essere montate su una mensola piana o su una mensola con bordi arrotondati/flangiati.

Attenersi alla seguente procedura per installare le staffe angolari regolabili su ogni estremità dell’unità.

1. Posizionare l’unità su una superficie piana, appoggiandola su un lato in modo che l’interruttore di accensione (I/O) sia rivolto verso l’alto.

2. Rimuovere le due viti superiori all’estremità dell’unità.

3. Allineare la staffa angolare regolabile ai fori di montaggio.

4. Fissare la staffa angolare con le viti precedentemente rimosse.

5. Fissare le staffe angolari alla parte inferiore della mensola mediante dispositivi di fissaggio appropriati (non forniti da Hatco).

Montaggio in sospensione

Il montaggio in sospensione permette di fissare la lampada professionale a una superficie sopraelevata determinata da un installatore qualificato.

Per l'installazione mediante catene, assicurarsi che le stesse abbiano forza sufficiente e che siano fissate in modo sicuro sia all'unità sia alla posizione di montaggio. Le catene installate in modo non corretto potrebbero causare l'allentamento e la conseguente caduta dell'unità. Non posizionare nulla sopra le unità installate mediante catene.

1. Preparare il sistema di montaggio sopraelevato per il montaggio in sospensione. Assicurarsi che il sistema sia sicuro e impostato di modo che l'unità sarà sospesa a un livello, con distanza sicura e appropriata da pareti, mensola e alimenti.

2. Sospendere l’unità utilizzando i due fori di sospensione su entrambe le staffe di sospensione.

3. Sollevare con attenzione l’unità e fissarne le estremità al sistema di montaggio sopraelevato. Assicurarsi che l'unità sia uniforme.

Installazione della staffa angolare regolabile

Informazioni elettriche

Nello scomparto di cablaggio sono disponibili un estrattore di dimensione standard da 12 mm (1/2"), posto nell’area opposta a quella dell’interruttore di accensione (I/O), cavi spiralati lunghi 152 mm (6") e un terminale di messa a terra separato.

Per la corretta installazione è necessario disporre di cavi di alimentazione in grado di sopportare una temperatura massima di 90 °C (194° F) per mezzo di un interruttore di scollegamento/interruttore di circuito di dimensione appropriata e conforme alle norme elettriche locali. Per il collegamento, utilizzare dadi per fili certificati UL in grado di sopportare una temperatura massima di 90 °C (194° F).

Pulizia Giornaliera

Per preservare la finitura oltre che mantenere le prestazioni, si raccomanda di pulire l'unità quotidianamente.

Usare solo panni e detergenti non abrasivi. Detergenti e panni abrasivi potrebbero graffiare la finitura dell'unità, rovinandone l'aspetto e rendendola sensibile all'accumulo di sporcizia.

1. Spegnere l’unità e lasciarla raffreddare completamente.

2. Pulire tutte le superfici metalliche con un panno morbido, pulito e inumidito. Le macchie ostinate possono essere rimosse con un detergente non abrasivo. Le aree più difficili da raggiungere devono essere pulite con uno spazzolino e un detergente delicato.

Sostituzione di una lampadina

Attenersi alla seguente procedura per sostituire una lampadina. Per ordinare i ricambi per le lampadine a incandescenza, utilizzare i codici articolo Hatco 02.30.043.00 per le lampadine da 120 V e 02.30.058.00 per le lampadine da 240 V.

1. Spegnere l’unità, scollegare dal circuito di potenza, e lasciarla raffreddare completamente.

2. Le lampadine presentano una base filettata. Svitare la lampadina dall’unità e sostituirla con una nuova lampadina a incandescenza con rivestimento speciale.

I cavi elettrici di prolunga, disponibili con lunghezze comprese fra 305 mm (1 piede) e 6096 mm (20 piedi), sono installabili esclusivamente in fabbrica.

La Hatco garantisce che i prodotti di sua fabbricazione (i "Prodotti"), in normali condizioni di uso e manutenzione, sono esenti da difetti di materiale per un (1) anno dalla data di acquisto, se installati e mantenuti in osservanza delle istruzioni scritte della Hatco, oppure per 18 mesi dalla data di spedizione dalla Hatco. L’acquirente deve confermare la data di acquisto del prodotto registrando il prodotto con Hatco o per mezzo di altri sistemi accettati da Hatco a sua totale discrezione.

2.LIMITI DEGLI OBBLIGHI DI RIPARAZIONE E DI RISARCIMENTO DANNI

De Hatco Glo-Rite®-displayverlichting bestaat uit duurzame en doeltreffende lichtstrips, ideaal voor gebruik op plaatsen waar voedsel bereid, bewaard en uitgestald wordt.

De verlichting is gemaakt van behuizing in geëxtrudeerd aluminium met heldere gegloeide reflectoren voor een maximale helderheid en is voorzien van splintervrije gloeilampen. Elke eenheid is voorzien van bevestigingsmiddelen en elektrische aansluitingen, alsook van een I/O-voedingsschakelaar (aan/uit) voor de bediening.

De Hatco-displayverlichting is het resultaat van uitgebreid onderzoek en praktijktesten. De gebruikte materialen zijn gekozen voor maximale duurzaamheid, aantrekkelijk uiterlijk en optimale prestaties. Ieder apparaat wordt voor verzending grondig geïnspecteerd en getest.

Deze handleiding bevat installatie-, veiligheids- en bedieningsinstructies voor de displayverlichting. Hatco raadt aan om alle installatie-, bedienings- en veiligheidsinstructies in deze handleiding te lezen voordat het apparaat wordt geïnstalleerd of bediend.

GEVAAR VOOR ELEKTRISCHE SCHOKKEN:

• Het toestel moet geïnstalleerd worden door een bevoegd elektricien. De installatie moet gebeuren volgens de lokaal geldende voorschriften inzake elektrische installaties. Installatie door onbevoegde medewerkers leidt tot het ongeldig verklaren van uw garantie. Het kan ook resulteren in een elektrische schok, brandwonden, schade aan het toestel en/of de omgeving.

• Raadpleeg een erkende aannemer van elektriciteitswerken voor de correcte elektrische installatie overeenkomstig de lokale en de nationale elektriciteitsvoorschriften.

• Schakel de voeding UIT aan de schakelaar/ stroomonderbreker en laat de eenheid afkoelen voor enige schoonmaak, afstelling of onderhoud.

• Dompel het apparaat NIET onder en maak het ook NIET kletsnat. Het apparaat is niet waterbestendig. Gebruik het apparaat niet als het onder werd gedompeld of erg nat werd gemaakt.

• Het toestel mag niet gereinigd worden wanneer het onder stroom staat of heet is.

• Het apparaat is niet weerbestendig. Gebruik het apparaat alleen binnenshuis op een plaats waar de omgevingstemperatuur minimaal 21°C bedraagt.

• Maak het apparaat niet schoon met stoom en gebruik ook niet al te veel water.

• De constructie van dit apparaat is niet bestand tegen hogedrukspuiten. Gebruik geen sprays met een spuitstraal om dit apparaat schoon te maken.

• Dit toestel mag enkel door bevoegd personeel bediend worden. Bediening door onbevoegd personeel kan leiden tot elektrische schokken of brandwonden.

• Gebruik alleen authentieke Hatco vervangingsonderdelen als het apparaat moet worden hersteld. Als er geen authentieke Hatcovervangingsonderdelen worden gebruikt, komen alle garanties te vervallen en kunnen de gebruikers van de apparatuur aan gevaarlijke elektrische spanning worden blootgesteld, wat kan resulteren in elektrische schokken of brandwonden. Authentieke Hatco vervangingsonderdelen zijn specifiek ontworpen om veilig te werken in de omgevingen waarin ze worden gebruikt. Sommige niet-authentieke of generieke vervangingsonderdelen hebben niet de vereiste eigenschappen om veilig te kunnen werken in apparaten van Hatco.

BRANDGEVAAR: plaats de eenheid op de correcte afstand van brandbare wanden en materialen. Als de veilige afstanden niet gerespecteerd worden, kan er verkleuring of verbranding plaatsvinden.

RISICO OP ONTPLOFFING: Geen benzine of andere brandbare gassen of vloeistoffen opslaan in de nabijheid van dit of een ander apparaat.

Dit apparaat is niet bestemd voor gebruik door kinderen of personen met beperkte lichamelijke, gevoels- of mentale capaciteiten. Houd kinderen uit de buurt van het apparaat.

Zorg dat alle bedieners van het apparaat goede instructies hebben ontvangen betreffende het veilige en juiste gebruik van het apparaat.

Gebruik uitsluitend lampen die voldoen aan of beter zijn dan de normen van de National Sanitation Foundation (NSF) en speciaal zijn ontwikkeld voor ruimten waarin voedingsmiddelen worden bewaard. Het stukgaan van lampen die niet voorzien zijn van een speciale coating kan persoonlijk letsel en/of verontreiniging van de voedingsmiddelen tot gevolg hebben.

Dit apparaat bevat geen onderdelen die door de gebruiker kunnen worden vervangen. Als het apparaat moet worden hersteld neemt u contact op met een erkend Hatco servicevertegenwoordiger of de Hatco serviceafdeling op het nummer +1-414-671-6350; fax +1-414-671-3976.

Toegelaten standaard fabricageoliën kunnen de eerste keer na het opstarten tot 30 minuten rookontwikkeling geven. Deze toestand is tijdelijk. Gebruik het toestel zonder voedingsmiddelen totdat de rook is verdwenen.

Gebruik enkel niet-schurende reinigingsmiddelen en doeken. Schurende reinigingsmiddelen en -doeken kunnen ontsierende krassen maken in de afwerking van de eenheid en maken vuilophoping mogelijk.

De Glo-Rite®-displayverlichting is speciaal ontworpen voor een langdurig en probleemloos gebruik. De verlichting is gemaakt van behuizing in geëxtrudeerd aluminium en is voorzien van heldere gegloeide reflectoren voor een maximale helderheid. Elke eenheid is voorzien van bevestigingsmiddelen en elektrische aansluitingen, alsook van een I/Ovoedingsschakelaar (aan/uit) voor de bediening.

Er zijn modellen verkrijgbaar in verschillende lengtes, gaande van 457 mm (18") tot 1.829 mm (72") en kunnen worden voorzien van extra verlichtingssystemen voor meer licht. Er is eveneens een verstelbare hoeksteun verkrijgbaar om de verlichting op te hangen.

De displayverlichting is standaard uitgerust met splintervrije lampen van 60 watt zodat voedsel in de display goed zichtbaar is, maar wordt beschermd als de gloeilamp breekt.

Gebruik de informatie in dit deel om de installatie van Glo-Rite®displayverlichting voor te bereiden.

1. Haal het apparaat uit de doos.

OPMERKING : Om vertraging bij een garantiedekking te

vermijden, vult u het best de online garantieregistratie in. Zie het hoofdstuk

BELANGRIJKE INFORMATIE VOOR DE EIGENAAR voor meer informatie.

2. Haal de tape en beschermlaag van alle oppervlakken van

het apparaat.

3. Installeer/monteer de eenheid op een geschikte locatie.

a. Om de verlichting op te hangen, raadpleegt u "Montage

met ophangsysteem" in dit deel.

b. Voor een permanente installatie, raadpleegt u "Montage

met verstelbare hoeksteunen" in dit deel.

3. Til de eenheid voorzichtig op en bevestig elk uiteinde van de eenheid aan het bovenliggende montagesysteem. Zorg ervoor dat de eenheid waterpas hangt.

Montage met ophangsysteem

Montage met verstelbare hoeksteunen

Als u de displayverlichting monteert met verstelbare hoeksteunen, bevestigt u de eenheid permanent aan de onderzijde van een schap. Eenheden kunnen worden gemonteerd op een vlakke schap of een schap met gebogen/opstaande randen.

Gebruik de onderstaande procedure om de verstelbare hoeksteunen te installeren op elk uiteinde van de eenheid.

1. Plaats de eenheid zijdelings op een vlak oppervlak met de I/O-voedingsschakelaar (aan/uit) naar boven.

2. Verwijder de twee bovenste schroeven aan elk uiteinde van de eenheid.

3. Breng de verstelbare hoeksteun in lijn met de ophanggaten.

4. Schroef de hoeksteun vast met de daarnet verwijderde schroeven.

5. Bevestig de hoeksteun met behulp van geschikte bevestigingen (niet door Hatco geleverd) aan de onderkant van de schap.

Montage met ophangsysteem

Als u de verlichting bevestigt met een ophangsysteem, wordt de displayverlichting bevestigd aan een bovengelegen oppervlak, bepaald door een bevoegd installateur.

Overtuig u ervan, voordat u de units aan kettingen ophangt, dat de kettingen voldoende sterk zijn en stevig zijn bevestigd aan zowel de eenheid als de plaats van bevestiging. Door slecht aangebrachte kettingen zou de eenheid kunnen losraken en vallen. Niets bovenop de aan kettingen opgehangen eenheden plaatsen.

1. Bereid het bovenliggende montagesysteem voor de montage met ophangsysteem voor. Controleer dat het systeem veilig is en zodanig is geconstrueerd dat de eenheid waterpas, veilig en op de juiste afstand van wanden, toonbanken en voedingsmiddelen hangt.

2. Hang de eenheid op met behulp van de twee ophanggaten aan beide ophangbeugels.

Installatie van de verstelbare hoeksteun

Elektrische informatie

Hatco voorziet een opening met handelsmaat (12 mm - 1/2 inch) recht tegenover de I/O-voedingsschakelaar (aan/uit), een opgerolde stroomkabel van 152 mm (6 inch) en een afzonderlijke aardingsklem in de bedradingsruimte.

Gebruik voor een correcte installatie stroomdraden die zijn goedgekeurd voor minstens 90 °C (194 °F) vanaf een schakelaar of stroomonderbreker van het juiste formaat die overeenstemt met de plaatselijke elektriciteitsvoorschriften. Gebruik UL-erkende draadmoeren die geschikt zijn voor minstens 90 °C (194 °F) en van het juiste formaat voor de aansluiting.

Raadpleeg een erkende aannemer van elektriciteitswerken als u vragen heeft over de correcte installatie. Raadpleeg de 'Tabel voor elektrisch vermogen' voor specifieke informatie.

Ingebruikname

1. Zet de I/O-voedingsschakelaar (aan/uit) in de 'I'-stand (aan). De displayverlichting zal branden.

Algemeen

De displayverlichting is ontworpen voor een maximale duurzaamheid en prestaties met een minimum aan onderhoud.

Uitschakelen

1. Zet de I/O-voedingsschakelaar (aan/uit) in de 'O'-stand (uit).

2. Voer de procedure voor "Dagelijkse reiniging" uit die wordt beschreven in het onderhoudshoofdstuk van deze handleiding.

Dagelijkse Reiniging

Om de glans van het toestel en de performantie te behouden, raden wij aan dat het toestel dagelijks gereinigd wordt.

GEVAAR VOOR ELEKTRISCHE SCHOKKEN:

• Schakel de voeding UIT aan de schakelaar/ stroomonderbreker en laat de eenheid afkoelen voor enige schoonmaak, afstelling of onderhoud.

• Dompel het apparaat NIET onder en maak het ook NIET kletsnat. Het apparaat is niet waterbestendig. Gebruik het apparaat niet als het onder werd gedompeld of erg nat werd gemaakt.

• Het toestel mag niet gereinigd worden wanneer het onder stroom staat of heet is.

• Maak het apparaat niet schoon met stoom en gebruik ook niet al te veel water.

• De constructie van dit apparaat is niet bestand tegen hogedrukspuiten. Gebruik geen sprays met een spuitstraal om dit apparaat schoon te maken.

Gebruik enkel niet-schurende reinigingsmiddelen en doeken. Schurende reinigingsmiddelen en -doeken kunnen ontsierende krassen maken in de afwerking van de eenheid en maken vuilophoping mogelijk.

1. Schakel de eenheid uit en laat hem volledig afkoelen.

2. Veeg alle metalen oppervlakken schoon met een zachte, schone, vochtige doek. Hardnekkige vlekken kunnen worden verwijderd met een reinigingsmiddel dat niet schuurt. Moeilijk te bereiken plaatsen moeten gereinigd worden met een kleine borstel en milde zeep.

Een gloeilamp in de display vervangen

Volg de volgende procedure om een gloeilamp te vervangen. Om reservegloeilampen te bestellen, geeft u het Hatcoonderdeelnr. 02.30.043.00 op voor lampen van 120 V of het onderdeelnr. 02.30.058.00 voor lampen van 240 V.

1. Schakel de eenheid uit, loskoppelen van het elektriciteitsnet, en laat hem volledig afkoelen.

2. Lampen hebben een voet met schroefdraad. Draai de gloeilamp uit de eenheid en vervang hem door een nieuwe, speciaal gecoate gloeilamp.

OPLOSSEN VAN PROBLEMEN

WAARSCHUWING

Onderhoud aan en herstellingen van dit apparaat mogen alleen worden uitgevoerd door bevoegd personeel. Als onbevoegd personeel het onderhoud of de herstelling uitvoert kan dat tot elektrische schokken of brandwonden leiden.

OPTIES EN ACCESSOIRES

Schakelaar voor afstandsregeling

Er is een schakelaar voor afstandsregeling verkrijgbaar in plaats van de standaard geleverde I/O-voedingsschakelaar (aan/uit).

Elektrische verlengkabels

Er zijn elektrische verlengkabels verkrijgbaar in lengtes van 305 mm (1") tot 6.096 mm (20"), maar deze zijn alleen verkrijgbaar als een reeds in de fabriek geïnstalleerde optie.

Verstelbare hoeksteun

Er zijn verstelbare hoeksteunen verkrijgbaar als accessoire om de eenheid permanent aan de onderzijde van een schap te bevestigen.

INTERNATIONALE BEPERKTE GARANTIE

1. PRODUCTGARANTIE

Hatco garandeert dat de producten die zij vervaardigt (de "Producten") vrij zijn van materiaalfouten bij normaal gebruik en onderhoud, gedurende de periode van één (1) jaar vanaf de aankoopdatum als ze geïnstalleerd en onderhouden worden in overeenstemming met de schriftelijke instructies van Hatco of gedurende 18 maanden na datum van verzending door Hatco. De koper van het product moet de aankoopdatum valideren door het product te registreren bij Hatco of door andere bevredigende middelen naar Hatco's eigen goeddunken.

Hatco garandeert dat de volgende productonderdelen vrij zijn van defecten in materialen vanaf de aankoopdatum (onderhevig aan de voorafgaande voorwaarden) voor de periode(n) in overeenstemming met de voorwaarden die hieronder worden gespecificeerd:

Vervangingsonderdelen

DE VOORAFGAANDE GARANTIES ZIJN EXCLUSIEF EN VERVANGEN ALLE ANDERE GARANTIES, OFWEL UITDRUKKELIJK OF GEÏMPLICEERD, MET INBEGRIP VAN, MAAR NIET BEPERKT TOT, ENIGE GEÏMPLICEERDE GARANTIE VAN VERKOOPBAARHEID, OF GESCHIKTHEID VOOR EEN BEPAALD DOEL, OF OCTROOI, OF ANDERE INBREUK OP INTELLECTUELE EIGENDOMSRECHTEN. Zonder de algemeenheid van het voorafgaande te beperken DEKKEN ZULKE GARANTIES NIET HET VOLGENDE: Gloeilampen met coating, fluorescentielampen, verwarmingspeertjes van lampverwarmer, glazen onderdelen, defecten in aanjagertank, xenongloeilampen, LED-buizen, warmtewisselaar met koelribben of andere waterverwarmings-voorzieningen veroorzaakt door verkalking, de afzetting van sediment, chemische aantasting of bevriezing, misbruik van, het knoeien aan of het verkeerd gebruiken van het Product, verkeerde installatie of het gebruik van een verkeerd voltage.

2. BEPERKING VAN REMEDIES EN SCHADE

De aansprakelijkheid van Hatco en de exclusieve rechtsmiddelen van kopers hieronder zullen enkel en alleen beperkt zijn tot vervanging van onderdelen of productgebruik, naar keuzen van Hatco, nieuwe of opgeknapte onderdelen of producten of een door Hatco geautoriseerd servicebedrijf met betrekking tot enige claims die ingediend worden binnen de toepasselijke garantieperiode waarnaar hierboven verwezen wordt. Hatco behoudt zich het recht voor om elke dergelijke vordering geheel of gedeeltelijk te aanvaarden of te verwerpen. In de context van deze beperkte garantie betekent “opgewerkt” een onderdeel of Product dat door Hatco of een door Hatco erkend serviceagentschap terug volgens de originele specificaties is ingesteld. Hatco aanvaardt geen geretourneerde Producten zonder voorafgaandelijk verkregen schriftelijke toestemming van Hatco, en alle onkosten voor goedgekeurde geretourneerde producten zijn ten laste van de Koper. ONDER GEEN ENKELE OMSTANDIGHEDEN ZAL HATCO AANSPRAKELIJK GESTELD WORDEN VOOR GEVOLGSCHADE OF BIJKOMENDE SCHADE, MET INBEGRIP VAN, MAAR NIET BEPERKT TOT, ARBEIDSONKOSTEN OF WINSTDERVING RESULTERENDE VAN HET GEBRUIK VAN OF HET ONVERMOGEN DE PRODUCTEN TE GEBRUIKEN, OF VAN DE PRODUCTEN DIE GEÏNCORPOREERD WORDEN IN OF EEN ONDERDEEL WORDEN VAN ENIG ANDER PRODUCT OF ENIGE ANDERE GOEDEREN.

INFORMATIE OVER GARANTIESERVICE

De garantie op Hatco Displayverlichting geldt één jaar vanaf de datum van aanschaf of achttien maanden vanaf de datum van verzending van Hatco, indien dit eerder is.

Als u tijdens de garantieperiode een probleem hebt met een Hatco Displayverlichting, kunt u het volgende doen:
