Installation, maintenance and repair to be
performed by qualified individuals only, using
appropriate agency and code guidelines.
SAFETYPRECAUTIONS
For safe and proper operation, the unit must be
located a minimum of 3" (7.6 cm) from
combustible walls and materials. If safe
distances are not maintained, discoloration or
combustion could occur.
Exterior surfaces on the unit will get hot.
Use caution when touching these areas to
avoid injury.
To prevent electrical shock, turn the power to the
unit off before performing cleaning, maintenance
or repair.
Use only non-abrasive cleaners. Abrasive
cleaners could scratch the finish of your warmer.
The Foodwarmer is not waterproof. DO NOT
submerge in water. Do not operate if it has been
submerged in water.
Do not spray Foodwarmer with water or steam
clean. Equipment damage and personal injury
will result.

INSTALLATION
Installation, maintenance and repair to be
performed by qualified individuals only, using
appropriate agency and code guidelines.
NOTE: The GRC-76 should be mounted to a suit
able chase or wire way to accomodate supply
wiring before attaching assembly to under shelf.
1. Unpack and unwrap assembly and mounting hardware.
Inspect all for any signs of shipping damage.
Provide a minimum of 12" (31 cm) air space
between the underside of the warmer and the
metallic or noncombustible surface below.
4. Power supply wire to be connected to terminal block
inside warming unit. Wire must be #14 AWG with a
minimum temperature rating of 200°C. A chase nipple or
bushing must be used to protect wire at knock out. When
tandem heaters are located end to end, supply wire must
be run from each unit to a suitable junction or switch box
(not supplied).
NOTE: Unit is rated for 3-phase and includes a grounding
lug in the wiring compartment. Refer to the electrical drawing
for proper electrical connections.
OPERATION
NOTE: This unit is controlled by a remote switch supplied
by others unless specified on order.
1. To operate warmer, position the switch or circuit
breaker in the “ON” position.
MAINTENANCE
The Hatco GRC-76 Foodwarmer is designed for maximum
durability and performance with minimum maintenance.
WARNING: To avoid injury, turn the master
power switch off and allow to cool before
performing any maintenance or cleaning.
CLEANING
To preserve the finish of your unit, it is recommended that
the it be cleaned daily. To clean warmer, use a soft cloth.
Stubborn stains may be removed with a NON-ABRA SIVE, mild cleaning agent or a stainless steel cleaner on
metal parts.
CAUTION: Use only NON-ABRASIVE
CLEANERS. Abrasive cleaners will scratch
the surfaces, marring its appearance, making it
susceptible to soil accumulation.
Do not spray Foodwarmer with water or steam
clean. Equipment damage and personal injury
will result.
2. If adjustable angle brackets are specified, attach to
warmer using stainless steel fastners.
3. Carefully place warmer in desired position and identify on
the underside of the shelf the mounting location for the
brackets.
CAUTION: A minimum of 1" (2.5 cm) space
must be provided between the top side of the
warmer and the underside of the shelf it is being
attached to.
CAUTION: A minimum of 3" (7.6 cm) must be
maintained between heater housings when
installing two or more units. Side by Side.

SERVICE
CAUTION: Use only Hatco genuine parts when
servicing unit.
Use of parts other than those supplied or manufactured by
Hatco voids the factory warranty and could damage the
unit or injure personnel.
