FITTING AND INSTALLING THE THRESHOLD
1.
2.
Open the garage door and clean the bottom of the door and the area of the
garage oor where the door and the oor meet. Make sure there is no moisture
or dirt on the surface or you will not get a good bond with the Threshold.
Place the Threshold in the opening, centering it between the door tracks on
each side of the entrance. The garage door tracks are the channels the door
uses as it rolls up and down. The Threshold is made to t most garage doors so
usually no trimming is necessary. If you do have to trim, use a straight edge for a
uniform t when the Threshold is installed.

4.
Lower the door onto the Threshold. Place the 45° angle of the Threshold against
the inside of the bottom of the door. The 45° angle of the Threshold should be
against the inside of the door for a proper seal against moisture.
Trace the inside edge of the Threshold then raise the garage door and, using a
carpenters pencil (not included), trace the leading edge of the Threshold.
With the garage door still in the raised position remove the Threshold. Apply two
1/4” rows of adhesive (not included) between the two lines running parallel the
length of the garage door opening. Apply the adhesive lines 3/4” from the front
and back edge of the Threshold.
6.
Using the adhesive (not included) make a zig-zag line from the front adhesive
line to the back adhesive line and run this zig-zag line the entire length of the two
lines.
7.
Follow the adhesive (not included) label directions for proper dry time before
applying the Threshold. Always keep adhesives away from children.
8.
9.
Place the Threshold between the two pencil lines and carefully press into place.
Lower the Garage door so it may act as a clamp holding the Threshold until the
adhesive drys. Make sure the Threshold is still alligned between the pencil lines.
10.
Wipe up any excess adhesive with warm water before it has a chance to harden.
