Operation
When operating your Fertilizer Spreader, it may be helpful to refer to each of the operational Figures as well as to the Parts List and Assembly Diagram located on the last page of this manual.
Step 1) Determine the setting necessary for the fertilizer or product to be spread. Consult
the fertilizer instructions to see if a certain setting is recommended.
Step 2) Move the handle on the Outlet Adjuster to the appropriate setting. The Outlet
Adjustor has markings ranging from 30 to 0, depending on the amount of fertilizer to be spread-see Figure 2. Setting the Outlet Adjuster to “0” will close the slots and stop the fertilizer from spreading. The Outlet Adjuster also has a locking Wing Nut to maintain your setting. Loosen the Wing Nut and set it at the desired mark, then tighten it into place.
Step 3) Fill the Spreader Frame (#2) with the desired product. Push the Fertilizer Spreader

over the lawn or garden and it will release fertilizer as it moves.

Once the assembly is complete, test the product. Does it roll easily and track properly? Test the Outlet Adjuster. When the Outlet Adjuster is adjusted, does the Feeding Bar (#1) adjust also? When you are satisfied that the assembly is complete and that the Fertilizer Spreader works properly, the product is ready for use.
