Assistance may be required during assembly.
Your Metal Work Station will require complete assembly as described in the following steps. To assist you with
assembly and operation please refer to the Operational Figures as well as the Assembly Diagram and Parts
List located on the last pages of this manual.
Note:Complete assembly of all five (5) Drawers will require parts consisting of:
ITEM
1....... 14-3/4" Right Hand Panel Slide ......(quantity-5)
2....... 14-3/4" Left Hand Panel Slide ......... (quantity-5)
3............ 16" Right Hand Drawer Slide .... (quantity-5)
4............ 16" Left Hand Drawer Slide ...... (quantity-5)
5................... Spring Slide ....................... (quantity-10)
* All Drawer Slides (Items 1 through 4) contain three extended guides, a large spring
stop and a small slide stop-see Figure 1.
Step 1)Place each of the 14-3/4" Left Panel Slides (2) onto the Left Slide Panel (6a) with the end with
the round hole facing forward. Align the tabs with the slots. The end tab should slide into place
while the two downward facing tabs are pushed down into the slots - see Figure 2.
Note:Place the 14-3/4" Left Panel Slides (2) onto the Left Slide Panel (6a) starting with the bottom
holes. Leave a space between each Panel Slide (2).
Step 2)Repeat step 1, only installing the Right Panel Slides (1) to the Right Slide Panel (6b) instead.

Step 4)Slide each of the 16" Left Hand Drawer Slides (4) onto the Drawers (7). Align the tabs so the
hole at the end of the Drawer Slide is facing forward. Slide the end tab in and push up on the
up facing tabs-See Figure 3.
Step 5)Slide the Spring Slide (5) into the 14-3/4" Slides (1 & 2) which are attached to the Slide Panels
(6). Push in until the Spring tip rides over the spring stop. Make certain that the Spring is
facing away from the position that the drawers will be in when inserted. The tip of the Spring
works to secure the Drawers (7) in the Drawer Slides.
Removing Drawer with 16” Drawer Slide from Spring Slide
Step 1)To pull out a Drawer (7) after the Spring Slide has locked it in place, lift the Spring with a
screwdriver while at the same time pulling out on the drawer. Repeat for both sides of the
Drawer-see Figure 4 below.
Figure 4
Side Panel, Center Support and Rail Assembly
Note that the right hand Slide Panel (6) has special oblong holes in it for assembly to the top of
the Right Hand Side Panel (9). The double set of holes on the right hand Slide Panel (6) faces
toward the front of the Metal Work Station.
You may use a Carpenter’s Square to square up the sides and Rails before tightening the Hex
Nuts (17). Finger tighten all Hex Nuts until the Metal Work Station is completely assembled.
Once completely assembled, fully tighten all hardware.
Step 1)With the Side Panel (9) oriented so that the lips are on the sides, attach the two Bottom Rails
(11) Make certain that the side of the Bottom Rail with the six (6) holes faces downward-see
Figure 5 on page 6. Insert the Bolt (17) from the outside of the Side Panel (9) through the
Bottom Rail (11). Slide on Lock Washer (17) and thread on Hex Nut (17). Repeat for the two (2)
Bottom Rails on opposite side of the Side Panel (9).
Step 2)Attach the Center Supports (10) to the Bottom Rails with 2 Bolts, Lock Washers and Nuts (17) -
see Figure 6.
Step 3)With the Center Support (10) in place, insert the Slide Panel (6) down inside the rail of the
Center Support (10) so that both sets of Drawer Slides face each other-see Figure 7.
Step 4)Slide the Slide Panel (6) down inside the rail of the Side Panel (9) making certain that the
Drawer Slides face inward. Attach the Slide Panel (6) to the Side Panel (9) using four 1/4"
Bolts, Lock Washers and Hex Nuts (17).
Step 5)Attach the two (2) Top Rails (11) to the Center Supports (10) with two Bolts and a Lock Washer
(17) at the top of each Center Support (10). Secure with a Hex Nut (17). Attach to the Side
Panel (9) which is currently in place. Make certain that the Top Rails (11) are attached so that
the two (2) holes face upward.
Step 6)Attach the second Side Panel (9) to the end of the Bottom Rails and Top Rails (11).
Step 7)Attach the Corner Brace Support (8) to the Bottom Rail (11) and Side Panel (9) so that the lips
of the Corner Brace Support (8) rest against the Bottom Rail (11) and Side Panel (9). Secure in
place with Bolt, Lock Washer and Hex Nut (17) -see Figure 8 next page.
Step 1)Place one Shelf (14) so that it rests against the Bottom Rail (11) with outside lip resting up
against the Side Panel (9). Secure the two outside corners to the two holes in the bottoms of
the Side Panel with two Bolts (17), Lock Washers (17) and secured with Hex Nut (17)
-see Figure 9 below.
Figure 8

Step 2)Connect the second Shelf (14) to the Side Panel (9) and the Center Support (10) through the
holes located at midpoint. Secure each corner to the Side Panel (9) and Center Support with
two Bolts (17), Lock Washers (17) and secured with Hex Nut (17).
Figure 9
Step 3)Place one Drawer Stop Brace (16) so that the holes are aligned with the Center Support (10)
and with the edge of the Drawer Stop Brace (16) almost touching the rear of the Drawer Slides.
Place the second Drawer Stop Brace (16) so that the holes are lined up with the holes in the
Side Panel. Place the Back Wall Panel (12) over the Drawer Stop Braces with the holes
aligned. Insert Bolt (17), Washer and Nut (17) at each corner to secure the Back Wall Panel
(12) and Drawer Stop Braces (16) in place.
Step 4)Align the holes in the second Back Wall Panel (12) at each corner at the rear of the Shelves
(14). Secure in place with Bolt, Lock Washer and Nut (17).

Assistance may be required during assembly.
Step 1)Place the Maple Top (13) upside down on a clean, flat surface. Use a mat or cloth to prevent
scratching the Maple Top (13).
Step 2)Lay the assembled portion of the Metal Work Station upside down over the Maple Top (13).
Make certain that the Side Panels (9) are square with the Top and Bottom Rail (11).
Step 3)Center the Maple Top (13) or align the Maple Top with the assembly as desired. Mark the hole
locations on the Maple Top (13) through the holes in the Top Rails (11). Move the assembled
section aside and drill four (4) 5/32" diameter x 1/2" deep holes in the Maple Top (13).
Warning:Do not drill deeper than 1/2".
Step 4)Set the assembled portion of the Metal Work Station back in place on the Maple Top (13).
Where the Top Rail (11) holes line up with the holes you drilled in the Maple Top (13), insert the
four (4) 5/8" Hex Screws (18) to secure the Maple Top (13) to the rest of the assembly.
Step 5)Securely tighten all hardware.
Step 6)Attach the Adjustable Legs (15). Place the Metal Work Station into an upright position.
