You will need the manual for the safety warnings and precautions, assembly
instructions, operating and maintenance procedures, parts list and diagram. Keep
your invoice with this manual. Write the invoice number on the inside of the front
cover. Keep the manual and invoice in a safe and dry place for future reference.
SAFETY WARNINGS AND PRECAUTIONS
1.KEEP PRODUCT USAGE AREA CLEAN. Keep area free from moisture or oil.
Cluttered areas invite injuries.
2.KEEP CHILDREN AWAY FROM PRODUCT USAGE AREA. Allow children
to handle this product only with adult supervision.
3.CHECK FOR DAMAGED PARTS. Before using this product, carefully check that it
will operate properly and perform its intended function. Check for damaged parts and
any other conditions that may affect its operation. Replace or repair damaged or worn
parts immediately.
4.REPLACEMENT PARTS AND ACCESSORIES. Use only identical replacement parts
available at Harbor Freight.
5.BEFORE USING unit for the first time, it must be fully charged. After each use, switch to
OFF position and recharge immediately.
6.ALWAYS BE AWARE OF DANGER OF FIRE and place Camping Light away from sides
of tent or any flammable materials. Do not leave this product unattended.
7.DISPOSE OF BATTERY PROPERLY. Never put in fire. Contact local Hazard Waste
Disposal authorities for proper guidelines.
Sealed Led-Acid batteries must be recyled or disposed of properly. Do not incinerate.
Risk of electic shock; use only in dry location. Only use with battery packs distributed by
Harbor Freight Tools; others may burst, causing personal injury and/or property damage. If
battery pack is cracked or damaged in any way, do not insert it in charger. For additional information on battery re-cycling call 1-800-822-8837.

The Rechargeable Camping Light is perfect for camping. It can produce continuous illumination.
Three hours of illumination using two Light Tubes and six hours of light using one Tube.
AUTOMATIC (ON) FUNCTION: When light is being charged and in the Auto (ON) function, the Rechargeable
Camping Light will turn on in case of a power outage. The Camping Light comes fully assembled.

CHARGING INSTRUCTIONS
1.To charge the built-in Battery (#14) in the Camping Light, set Switch (#10) to OFF position. Remove the
Wire Cover Plate (#12), pull out wire and plug and plug into an electrical outlet for at least 5 hours before
using. See Figure C. Note: The Charging Indicator Light (#7 ), between the Tubes (#5), will light when in
charging mode. It will go off when fully charged. See Figure A.
2.When fully charged, unplug cord and place back in Lampstand (#11). Replace Wire Cover Plate (#12).
Position Switch ON for one or two Tubes. See Figure B.
3.After every use, switch to OFF position and recharge immediately. When not in use or in storage, unit
must be charged once every two months.
WARNING: If the Rechargeable Camping Light is not in an upward position when charging, the liquid in
the built-in Battery could overflow and damage the circuit board.
1.Connect AC cord to electrical outlet.
2.Set Switch (#10) to 2 or 1 Tube position. See Figure B.
3.When power failure occurs, RED Charging Indicator turns OFF (#7) and tubes light up automatically.

REPLACING BATTERY
1.This Battery Pack (#14) will last for many, many hours if maintained and charged properly.
If after acceptable usage, when Battery wears out, it can be replaced. Always make sure the
electrical cord is unplugged when removing the Battery.
2.To remove and replace Battery Pack (#14), remove screws from the base of the Camping Light
Lampstand (#11). Pull out Battery Pack (#14) to replace. There is a metal brace that holds the
Battery in place. See Figure D. After releasing the metal brace, disconnect wires from the Battery.
PLEASE NOTE: The positive and negative wires are color-coded Red and Black. See Figure C.
Re-attach new Battery in the same configuration as the Battery you are removing. Replace
Lampstand (#11) and follow the above charging instructions.

REPLACING LAMP TUBES
Warning: When replacing Fluorescent Tubes (#5), do not touch Tubes. The oil from your skin can
reduce Tube’s life. Caution: Only use identical replacement parts available at Harbor Freight Tools.
1.Set Switch (#10) to OFF position. Take off Overhead Guard (#2).
2.Unscrew the metal nut and turn the metal connector holding the Tubes (#5).
3.Make sure Tubes are cool, and using gloves remove the defective Tubes and replace with new
10W Tubes.
1.For better and safer performance, keep all parts of this product clean and dry.
2.Periodically check to see that all hardware is in place.
