Troubleshooting
Warning: Disconnect tool fr om air supply bef ore T roubleshooting! Make sure all brads
are removed from the tool and make sure no pressure remains in the tool.
1. Air leakage between frame and cap. Check tightness of screws. Tighten if necesar y.
Check condition of gasket. Replace if necessary.
2. Air leakage between frame and nose. Check Screws for tightness. Remove the nose
and inspect o-rings for wear and lubrication. The tip or bumper should be inspected and
replaced if worn or cracked.
3. Slow cycling or loss of power.
a. Check that the tool is properly lubricated. If necessary, re-lubricate and test again.
b. Remove the cap on top of the cylinder and check the spring for broken coils or reduced
length. Replace if necessary.
c. Check the head valve o-rings and the cap walls for proper lubrication. Lubricate or replace
if necessary.
d. Check that the exhaust port of the cap is not blocked or restricted in any way.
4. Skipping Nails - The tool cycles without driving a nail.
a. Worn bumper. Check that the bumper is not worn or damaged. Replace if necessary.
b. Dir t or debris in the dr ive channel. This will cause drag on the driver, preventing it from
returning to position. Clean drive channel.
c. Damaged Pusher Spring. Check for debris or damage which might not allow nails or
Pusher Spring from sliding freely in the magazine.
d. Worn o-ring on the piston. Check that o-rings or not cracked and are well lubricated.
e. Cut o-ring on the trigger valve sleeve. Replace if necessar y.
f. Leaking cap gasket. Re-seat and tighten.
