Safety Warnings and Precautions
WARNING: When using product, basic safety precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of personal injury and damage to equipment.
Read all instructions before using this product!
1. Keep work area clean. Cluttered areas invite injuries.
2. Observe work area conditions. Do not use this product in damp or wet locations. Don’t expose to rain. Keep work area well lighted.
3. Store idle equipment. When not in use, products must be stored in a dry location to inhibit rust. Always lock up products and keep out of reach of children.
4. Use the right product for the job. There are certain applications for which this product was designed. It will do the job better and more safely at the rate for which it was intended. Do not modify this product and do not use this product for a purpose for which it was not intended.
5. Check for damaged parts. Before using any product, any part that appears damaged should be carefully checked to determine that it will operate properly and perform its intended function. Check for alignment and binding of moving parts; any broken parts or mounting fixtures; and any other condition that may affect proper operation. Any part that is damaged should be properly repaired or replaced by a qualified technician.

6. Replacement parts and accessories. When servicing, use only identical replacement parts. Use of any other parts will void the warranty.
7. Do not operate product if under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Read warning labels on prescriptions to determine if your judgment or reflexes are impaired while taking drugs. If there is any doubt, do not operate the product.
8. Always use a solid object to push food into the Meat Grinder/Food Mincer. Never use your hands as this may result in serious harm and injury.
9. Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing or jewelry as they can be caught in moving parts. Wear restrictive hair coverning to contain long hair. Keep hands and fingers away from moving parts.

manual cannot cover all possible conditions and situations that may occur. It must be understood by the operator that common sense and caution are factors which cannot be built into this product, but must be supplied by the operator.
Assembly
Your Meat Grinder/Food Mincer will require some assembly prior to use. It is important that you read the entire manual to become familiar with the product BEFORE you use the Meat Grinder/ Food Mincer. Before assembling the Meat Grinder/Food Mincer be sure that you have all parts described in the Parts List and Assemby Diagram located on the last page of this manual.
Step 1) The Shaft Case (#3) is set into the small diameter hole at Handle (#1) end. Slide the
Axis (#4) into the Shaft Case (#3).
Step 2) Place the Steel Blade (#5) onto the end of the Axis (#4). Caution: Be careful of the
sharp blade when handling it.
Step 3) Choose the Cutting Die that best suits your needs. Use either the Broad Cutting
Die (#6) for regular grinding or mincing, or the Fine Cutting Die (#7) for narrower grinds or cuts.
Step 4) Set either the Broad Cutting Die (#6) or Fine Cutting Die (#7) so that the four (4) tabs
in each rest on the outside of the discharge chute.
Step 5) Twist on the Front Cover (#8). Tighten securely to secure assembly in place.
Step 6) Slide Container (#2) with assembly onto Base (#10). Place Key (#11) onto Lock
Button (#9). Turn Key (#11) on Lock Button (#9) to the right to activate the suction lock and secure the Base to the counter or working area. Turn the Key (#11) on Lock Button (#9) to the left to release the suction lock on Base (#10).
Step 7 ) Insert Handle (#1) into Shaft Case (#3).
Caution: To avoid health hazards: Before assembling, thoroughly clean all unassembled Meat Grinder/Food Mincer parts in a dishwasher. When cleaning, use a mild anti-bacterial detergent. Clean the Meat Grinder/Food Mincer after every operation. Failure to follow these precautions may result in serious illness due to food poisoning.

Operation It is important that you read the entire manual to become familiar with the product BEFORE you use the Meat Grinder/Food Mincer. Before operating the Meat Grinder/Food Mincer, be sure that you have all the parts described in the Parts List and Assembly Manual located on the last pages of this manual.
Step 1) Choose desired Cutting Die as in Step 3 of Assembly on page 3. Complete the
assembly of the Meat Grinder/ Food Mincer.
Step 2) Clear the working area of any material except for food and the Meat Grinder/ Food
Mincer.
Step 3) Using the Key (#11), turn the Lock Button (#9) to the right to secure the Base to
counter or working area (see Step 6 of Assembly). Insert Handle (#1).
Step 4) Using a solid object, insert the meat/food into the Container (#2). Push the food
down into the bottom of the Container (#2). Keep fingers clear of the container’s inlet opening.
Step 5) Place the Plastic Box (#12) underneath the discharge area of the Meat Grinder/Food
Mincer. Turn the Handle (#1) in a clockwise direction.
Step 6) When you have finished operating the Meat Grinder/Food Mincer, remove the
Handle (#1) and release the Base (#10) from the work area by turning the Key (#11) to the Left.
Step 7) Clean the Meat Grinder/Food Mincer completely as indicated under “Caution” on
the previous page.

UNPACK AND CHECK CONTENTS
When unpacking your Meat Grinder/Food Mincer, check to make sure the following parts are in­cluded. If any parts are missing or broken, please call HARBOR FREIGHT TOOLS at
