OPERATIONAL GUIDE
• Remove the protective cap and turn the tester on by sliding the top switch.
• Immerse the tester into the solution up to the maximum immersion level, without touching the bottom of the beaker.
• Stir gently and wait for the reading to stabilize. TDS1 automatically compensates for temperature variations.
BATTERY REPLACEMENT
When the TDS1 can not be switched on or the display fades, batteries have to be replaced.
Pull out the batteries compartment as shown in the drawing, and replace all four
1.5V batteries, while paying attention to the correct polarity.
Batteries should only be replaced in a non hazardous area and using the battery type specified in this instruction manual.
CALIBRATION
• Immerse the tester into the HI 70080 (800 ppm) calibration solution, without exceeding the maximum immersion level.
• Allow the reading to stabilize and using the supplied screwdriver adjust the calibration trimmer until the nominal value of the solution is displayed.
• Calibration is now complete.
