Other consumer safety information
This appliance is intended for household use only. WARNING! Shock Hazard: This appliance has a polarized plug
(one wide blade) that reduces the risk of electric shock. The plug fits only one way into a polarized outlet. Do not defeat the safety purpose of the plug by modifying the plug in any way or by using an adapter. If the plug does not fit, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, have an electrician replace the outlet.
The length of the cord used on this appliance was selected to reduce the hazards of becoming tangled in or tripping over a longer cord. If a longer cord is necessary, an approved extension cord may be used. The electrical rating of the extension cord must be equal to or greater than the rating of the appliance. Care must be taken to arrange the extension cord so that it will not drape over the countertop or tabletop where it can be pulled on by children or accidentally tripped over.
To avoid an electrical circuit overload, do not use a highwattage appliance on the same circuit with the coffeemaker.
NOTE: For best results, allow the coffeemaker to cool for one minute between brewing cycles.

Care and cleaning
Automatic Shutoff: The coffeemaker will automatically shut off after brew cycle is complete.
1. Plug in coffeemaker.
2. Lift reservoir lid and slide out
brew basket. For regular coffee/tea: Flip up top
of basket, place ONE coffee or tea pod into brew basket, and then close the top of basket.
For stronger coffee/tea: Flip up the top of basket and place ONE coffee or tea pod into brew basket; close the top of basket and place another pod in the top of basket. Make sure pod(s) are centered and flat in brew basket or coffee may be weak from water flow around the pod.
3. Fill serving cup with up to 12 ounces (350 ml) of cold water. NOTE: Once the START button is pressed, the unit will
brew for one cycle. If the START button has been pressed with no water in the reservoir, allow the unit to complete one brew cycle and the Power ON Indicator Light will go out. If the brew cycle needs to be stopped during brewing, unplug unit. Reduce water for stronger brew.
4.
Pour water carefully into reservoir (behind brew basket) and lower reservoir lid.
5. Place serving cup under brew basket.
6.
Press START button. The Power ON Indicator Light will light up to show that coffeemaker is on. Coffeemaker will shut off automatically and light will go off when brew cycle is completed.
7. After you have finished your coffee and the coffeemaker has cooled, use the tab on the front of the brew basket to slide out brew basket and dispose of pod(s).
If using standard tea bags, follow all directions except in step 2, remove brew basket and brew water directly into cup. Once hot water is brewed, steep tea bag in cup until desired strength is reached.
NOTE:
For best results,
allow coffeemaker to cool for one
minute between brewing cycles.
