2. Hardware Installation

2.1 Einleg en der Batter ien

a) En tfernen Sie d ie Batter iefach-Abd eckung und legen die Ba tterien p olrichtig
in das Bat teriefach (A bb1). Die richtig e Polarität i st dort auf gezeichnet.
b) Bri ngen Sie die Bat teriefach- Abdeckung wi eder so an, dass sie fe st
verschlossen ist.

2.2 A nschließen des U SB Empfänge rs

a) Verb inden Sie den USB E mpfänger mit ei nem freien USB A nschluss am PC .
b) Sof ern noch nicht ges chehen, schalte n Sie den Comput er ein.
c) Der U SB-Empfän ger wird von Wi ndows® erka nnt und in das Bet riebssys tem
eingebunden.
d) St ellen Sie den ON- OFF Schalt er auf der Unter seite der Maus au f „ON“
(Abb.1).

3. Maus u nd Empfänger v erbinden / Inbe triebnahme

a) Bet ätigen Sie die Ve rbindungst aste am Empf änger, die Stat us-LED bli nkt
(Abb .2). Der Emp fänger ist zum A bgleich mit der M aus bereit.
b) Bet ätigen Sie ans chließend inner halb von 10 Sekund en die Verbindungs taste
mit ein em spitzen Geg enstand (z. B. einem Sif t) auf der Unt erseite der
Maus (A bb.1). Diese Taste is t mit „Connect “ gekennzeichn et. Bit te achten
Sie darau f, das sich während di eser Verbindung sphase, Maus und
Empfä nger nicht mehr als 3 0 cm voneinander e ntfern t befi nden.
c) Die Ma us ist nun betr iebsbereit . Wird diese b ewegt, bli nkt die Sta tus LED
am Empf änger. Sollte si ch der Mauszeiger nic ht bewegen, wi ederholen Sie
die Schri tte 3a- b.

4. Batteriekontrolleuchte

Wenn der Spa nnungspegel der Ba tterien de n vorgegebenen Wer t
unter schritt en hat und die Maus dur ch Bewegen oder K licken betät igt wird,
blink t die Batte rie-Kont olleuchte (A bb 3). Die Maus fu nktionier t zwar noch
einige Z eit, Sie soll ten aber so bald al s möglich die Bat terien aust auschen.

5. DPI-Umschalter

Betä tigen Sie den DPI -Umschalte r (Abb3) um z wischen 80 0 - 1600 dpi
umzuschalten.
Beim Ums chalten auf 16 00 dpi und beim Be wegen der Maus, leu chtet die
DPI-A nzeige (Abb 3) kurz auf.

6. 4-Wege-Scrollrad

Das 4-We ge-Scrollr ad ist ideal zum A nzeigen großer Bi lder, Dokument e oder
Tabellenkal kulationen . Dies ist jedoch n ur möglich, wenn di e Bildlaufl eis ten in
horizo ntaler bzw. v ertikale r Richtung vor handen sind. Um all e Funktio nen der
Maus, ins besondere des 4 -Wege-Scro llrades zu nut zen, ist es no twendig die
Sof tware zu ins tallieren (si ehe Punkt 7) .

a) Le gen Sie die beigeleg te CD in Ihr CD- ROM oder DVD -ROM Lauf werk.
Warte n Sie einen Momen t, und die Ins tallation w ird automat isch gestar tet.
Sollt e dies nicht gesch ehen, klicken Si e auf Start = > Ausführen , geben Sie
„X: /Setup e in (wobei „X“ f ür den Laufw erksbuchst aben Ihres CD- ROM
Lauf werks ste ht) und best ätigen Sie mi t Enter.
b) Wähl en Sie die gewüns chte Sprache aus un d klicken Sie auf „Wei ter“.
c) St arten Sie nac h Abschluss der In stallati on Ihren PC neu.
d) Nach er folgreiche r Installat ion erscheint d as Maussymbol i n der
Task leist e.

Hinweis:

Während d er Installa tion unter W indows® XP k önnen Meldungen b ezüglich
eines nich t bestanden en Logo-Tests er scheinen. Die F unktion der Ma us oder
Sof tware wird d adurch nicht beein trächtig t. Fahren Sie m it der Instal lation
fort.

7. Softwarekonfi guration

Um das Kon fi gur ationsprog ramm zu öff nen, führen Sie e inen Doppelkl ick
auf das Maus symbol in der Task leiste aus, od er gehen Sie über St art/
Progra mme/Las er Mouse/L aser Mouse 1.0 .

In der Regi sterkar te „Geschwind igkeit“ könn en Sie Einste llungen zur
Scrollg eschwindigke it und Empfi nd lichkeit des Maus zeigers vorne hmen.

In der Regi sterkar te „Tas ten“ können Sie ve rschiedene Ein stellungen zu d en
Tas ten v orn ehme n.
Die Funk tionen der Tast en 1-3 können Sie , mithilfe d es pull-dow n Menü, Ihren
eigenen Vor stellungen a npassen.

Die Taste 4 kö nnen Sie mit zw ei verschiedene n Modi belegen:

- Offi ce Modus : Bei Auswahl de s Offi ce Modu s erscheint bei Be tätigung
ein krei sförmiges M enüfeld. Mi t diesem Menü könn en Sie verschiede ne
Anwen dungen (z.B. M S Offi ce) st arten.

- Betätigen S ie die Taste innerh alb einer Of fi ce- Anwendung, ö ffnet sich
wieder um ein kreisf örmiges Menü feld mit versc hiedenen Opti onen zur
Bearbei tung Ihrer Dat en.

- Zoom Modus: Be i Auswahl des Zo om Modus, können S ie nach Betäti gung
dieser Tast e in verschieden en Programmen , mit den Tasten 2 und 3 zo omen.

2. Installi ng the hardware

2.1 Inse rting the Bat teries

a) Rem ove the batt ery compar tment cover an d insert the ba tteries i n the
correc t direction in t he batter y compart ment (Fig. 1). T he correct pol arity is
indicated there.
b) Rea ttach the bat tery cove r so that it is secur ely closed.

2.2 C onnecting th e USB receiver

a) Con nect the USB rece iver to an availab le USB port on t he PC.
b) Sw itch on your comp uter if you have n ot already done s o.
c) Wi ndows® det ects the USB r eceiver and int egrates it in to the operat ing
system.
d) Se t the ON-OF F switch on th e base of the mouse t o “ON” (Fig. 1) .

3. Conn ecting the mou se and receiver / ge tting sta rted

a) Pre ss the Connec t button on t he receiver; t he status L ED star ts to fl ash
(Fig . 2). The recei ver is now ready to s ynchronise w ith the mous e.
b) Usi ng a pointed obje ct (for inst ance, a pen), press t he Connect bu tton on
the base o f the mouse wi thin 10 seconds (F ig. 1). This bu tton is mark ed with
“Connec t”. Please not e that the mouse s hould be no more t han 30 cm away
from t he receiver duri ng this connect ing phase.
c) Th e mouse is now read y for use. The L ED on the receiv er fl as hes when the
mouse is mo ved. If the curs or does not move, t hen repeat st eps 3a-b.

4. Bat tery cont rol lamp

If the vo ltage level of t he batter ies drops belo w the preset val ue and you move
or click th e mouse, the bat tery con trol lamp fl ashes ( Fig. 3). Al though the
mouse wi ll still fun ction for som e time, you shoul d change the bat teries as soon
as possible.

5. DPI switch

Press t he DPI swit ch (Fig. 3) to t oggle betwe en 800 - 160 0 dpi.
When t he mouse is moved w hile switch ed to 1600 dpi , the DPI displa y (Fig. 3)
illuminates briefl y.

6. 4-w ay scroll wheel

The 4 -way scroll whe el is ideal for displ aying large image s, documents or
spreads heets. Howe ver, you can only do th is if the horiz ontal or ver tical scroll
bars are pr esent. To use all t he function s of the mouse, in pa rticular th e 4-way
scroll w heel, you must i nstall the s oftwar e (see point 7).

7. Install ing the soft ware

• Th e softw are support s Windows ® 98SE/ ME/2 000 /XP

• Unins tall any mouse so ftware a lready inst alled.

a) Place t he enclosed CD in y our CD-ROM or D VD-ROM dr ive. Wait a mome nt,
inst allation st arts aut omatically. I f it does not st art automa tically, click S tart
=> Run, en ter “X:\ Setup” (wh ere „X” is the d rive lett er of your CD- ROM
drive) an d press Enter t o confi rm.
b) Sel ect the require d language and click Nex t.
c) Res tart your P C after th e softwa re is installe d.
d) Af ter inst allation is com plete, the mou se icon appears in t he task bar.

Note:

When in stalling wh ile using Wind ows® XP, a message may a ppear regarding
a failed lo go test. T his does not af fect mouse or so ftware o peration. S imply
ignore an d continue wi th the inst allation.

7. Confi guring the sof tware

To open the con fi gur ation progr am, double-cl ick the mouse icon in t he task
bar or use t he fi le p ath: Star t/Pr ograms/L aser Mouse/ Laser Mouse 1. 0..

In the Spe ed tab, you can set t he scroll speed and t he cursor sensi tivit y.

In the Bu ttons tab, y ou can perfor m various set tings for th e buttons .
You can adjus t the functi ons of butt ons 1-3 to your pe rsonal requir ements using
the pull -down menu .

You can assig n button 4 wi th two di fferent mo des:

- Offi ce mode: I f Offi ce mod e is selected, a cir cular menu fi eld appea rs when
you click t he mouse. Using t his menu, you can s tart vari ous applicatio ns
(e.g. MS O ffi ce).

- Clicking the bu tton ins ide an Offi ce app lication open s a circular menu fi eld
that has v arious optio ns for processi ng your data.

- Zoom mode: Once t his butto n is pressed in Zo om mode, you can zoo m in
various p rograms using b uttons 2 and 3 .

To return t o the factor y setti ngs, click Rest ore.

Mode d‘emploi

1. Conte nu de l‘emballage

• Souris laser rad io à 7 touches avec mol ette à 4 direc tions

• Récept eur USB

• Logiciel sur CD -ROM

2. Installat ion du matériel

2.1 Mise en p lace des piles

a) Ouv rez le couvercl e du compartim ent et insérez l es piles en respec tant la
polari té (fi g. 1). La bonne p olarité est i ndiquée à l’i ntérieur du com partimen t.
b) Ref ermez le couver cle du compart iment à piles.

2.2 B ranchement du r écepteur US B

a) Raccor dez le récepteu r USB à un port US B libre de votre o rdinateur.
b) Met tez votr e ordinateur so us tension.
c) Le r écepteur USB es t alors reconn u par Windows ® et intégré dan s votre
syst ème d’exploi tation .
d) Rég lez l’int errupteur ON -OFF de la face i nférieure de la s ouris sur « ON »
(fi g. 1)

3. Syn chronisatio n souris – récep teur / mise en ser vice

a) Ap puyez sur la touch e de connexion du réc epteur ; la DEL d ’af fi chage d’éta t
commence à cl ignoter (fi g . 2).
Le récep teur est alor s prêt pour la sy nchronisati on avec la souris .
b) A ppuyez dans le s 10 secondes sur la t ouche de connex ion de la face infé rieure
de votr e souris (fi g. 1) à l ’aid e d’un objet poin tu (un sty lo, par exemple). C ette
touche es t indiquée par « Co nnect ». La sour is devrait ê tre à une dist ance
d’envir on 30 cm du récept eur afi n de garantir un e connexion par faite.
c) Vot re souris est a lors prête à fo nctionner. La D EL d’éta t du récepteur
clignot e lorsque la sou ris est uti lisée. Répéte z les étapes 3 a-b d ans le cas
où le poin teur ne bouge pas.

4. Voyan t de contrôle de s piles

Lors que le niveau de charge d es piles est fai ble, le voyant de co ntrôle de la
souris ( fi g . 3) clignote lor sque vous l’ut ilisez (mouve ments et clics ). Votre souri s
conti nuera certe s à fonctionner p endant quelques t emps, mais vous d evriez
remplace r les piles dès que po ssible.

5. Com mutateur dp i

Actio nnez le commut ateur dpi (fi g. 3 ) afi n de commuter en tre 800 e t 1600 dpi
(ppp).
L‘affi chage dp i s‘allume (fi g. 3) l orsque vous comm utez sur 160 0 dpi et bougez
la souri s.

6. Mole tte à 4 directi ons

La mole tte à 4 direc tions convie nt parfait ement pour l’af fi c hage des grandes
images, d e documents ou de t ableurs. Les b arres de défi lem ent horizont ale
ou ver ticale doiven t toutefoi s être disponi bles. Il est néc essaire d’i nstaller le
logiciel ( voir point 7) a fi n de pr ofi ter pleineme nt de toutes le s fonctions de l a
souris , dont la molet te à 4 direct ions.

7. Installation du logiciel

• Le l ogiciel suppor te Window s® 98SE /20 00/ME /20 00/X P

• Dés installez é ventuelleme nt tout logici el de souris déjà in stallé.

a) Ins érez le CD fourn i dans votre lect eur de CD-RO M ou de DVD-RO M.
Patie ntez jusqu’ à ce que le programm e d’inst allation démar re
automa tiquement . Dans le cas où l‘ installat ion n’est pas lancée, c liquez sur
Démarre r => Exécuter, ta pez « X:\Se tup » (X étan t éventuell ement à
remplace r par la lettr e de votre lect eur de CD-ROM ) et validez avec En ter.
b) Sél ectionnez la lan gue souhaitée e t cliquez sur « Suiv ant ».
c) Redé marrez ensui te votre ordi nateur après l ‘instal lation.
d) Une f ois l’ins tallation r éussie, l‘ icône de la souris app araît dans la bar re
des tâches .

Remarque :

Il est po ssible que des mes sages concernan t le test de logo W indows
apparais sent pendant l ’instal lation sous W indows® X P. Le fo nctionneme nt
de la sour is ou du logiciel n’en ser ont toutef ois pas affec tés. Cont inuez
l’installation.

7. Confi gu ration du logicie l

Double cl iquez sur l’ic ône de la souris dans l a barre des tâches a fi n d ’ou vrir
le progr amme de confi gura tion ou cliquez s ur Démarrer/ Programmes /Laser
mouse/ Laser mous e 1.0.

Vous pouv ez régler la vit esse de défi leme nt et la sensibil ité du point eur de la
souris d ans l’onglet « vi tesse ».

Vous pouv ez confi gurer di fférent s paramètres co ncernant les to uches dans
l’ongle t « Touch es ».
Vous pouv ez adapter les fo nctions des to uches 1-3 comme vou s l’entendez à
l’aide du menu déroulant.

Vous pouv ez assigner deux m odes différ ents à la touche 4 :

- Mode Offi ce Mo dus : Un champ de menu ro nd apparaît lor sque vous
sélect ionnez le mode O ffi ce. Ce menu vous pe rmet de démarre p lusieurs
applica tions (MS Of fi ce , etc.).

- Lorsque vous ac tionnez la touc he à l‘intér ieur d‘une appl ication Of fi ce, u n
nouveau m enu rond s‘ouvre v ous présent ant différ entes opti ons pour la
gest ion de vos données .

- Mode Zoom : Le mod e Zoom vous perm et de zoomer avec les t ouches 2 et 3
dans dif férents p rogrammes dès que v ous actionnez ce s touches.

Pour rét ablir les réglag es par défaut , cliquez sur « Réini tialiser ».
