1. Safety Information

Thank you for buying this Haier refrigerator-freezer appli­ance.

Please read these instructions carefully before using this ap­pliance. The instructions contain important information which
will help you get the best out of the appliance and ensure safe
and proper installation, use and maintenance.
Keep this manual in a convenient place so you can always
refer to it for the safe and proper use of the appliance.
If you sell the appliance, give it away, or leave it behind when
you move house, make sure you also pass this manual so
that the new owner can become familiar with the appliance
and safety warnings.

• Persons (including children) who are not reduced physi­cal, sensory or mental capabilities or their inexperience
or lack of knowledge able to use the device safely,
should not use this device without supervision or instruc­tion by a responsible person.

• Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not
play with the appliance.

• This appliance is designed for domestic use only.
Using it for any other purpose could invalidate any war­ranty or liability claim.

Installation

• Ensure that any plastic wrappings, bags, etc. are kept

out of the reach of babies and young children. Danger of
suffocation.

• Always make sure a qualied person installs this appli­ance.

• The appliance is heavy. Always handle with at least two

persons.

• Never place the appliance horizontally on the ground.

• Check that no parts of the appliance are damaged,

especially parts of the cooling system, pipes or leads.
If damage has occurred, DO NOT install the appliance;
you should contact a qualied service engineer or con­tact Customer Care.

• Please leave the appliance to stand for at least six

hours. This will allow the cooling system to settle follow­ing transportation.

• The product is set for operation at a specic ambient

range between 10 and 43°C. The appliance may not
work properly if it is left for a long period at a temperature
above or below the indicated range.

• The appliance should be placed in a well-ventilated
place. Ensure a space of at least 5 cm above and around
the appliance.

• The appliance must be kept away from direct heat (e.g.
stoves, heaters) sources and direct sunlight.

• WARNING! Leave the ventilation openings free of ob­struction.

• Install and level the appliance on a oor strong enough

to take its weight and in an area suitable for its size and
use.

Electrical Safety

• The mains electricity supply must be conformed to the

rating plate as shown on the inner of the appliance part,
which is located inside the refrigerator compartment.

• The appliance is operated through a 220-240 VAC/50 Hz
power supply. Abnormal voltage uctuation may cause

the appliance to fail to start or not to operate correctly
and damage the temperature control or compressor,
originating abnormal noise too. To eliminate abnormal

uctuation it is suggested to use an automatic regulator.

• WARNING! Use a separate earthed socket for the power

supply. This appliance must be earthed.

• The plug MUST be accessible after the appliance has

been positioned.

• Do not use single or multiple adapters or extension ca­ble. Fire hazard due to overheating.

• The appliance´s power cable is tted with a 3 pin
(grounding) plug that ts a standard 3-pin (grounding)

socket. Never cut off or disassemble the grounding.

• Connections to the mains supply should be in accord­ance with local regulations.

• Take care not to roll over the power cable or damage it

when moving the appliance.

• Avoid damage to the electric cable when moving the ap­pliance.

• If the electrical cable is damaged it must only be re­placed by either the manufacturer or the authorised
service agent.

• Hold the plug, not the cable, when unplugging the appli­ance.

Before rst Use

• Before you plug the appliance into the mains, clean the

inside of the appliance using warm water and bicarbo­nate of soda, then dry thoroughly.

Daily Use

• DO NOT damage the refrigerant circuit. If it does be­come damaged, do not use the appliance.

• WARNING!: Do not use electrical devices inside the food
storage compartments of the appliance, unless they are
of the type recommended by the manufacturer.

• WARNING! Use drinking water only with this appliance.

• Do not touch the inside surface of the freezer storage

compartment when in operation, especially with wet
hands, as your hands may freeze onto the surface.

• Do not touch frozen goods with wet hands (wear
gloves). Especially do not eat ice lollies immediately after
removal from the freezer compartment. There is the risk
to freeze or the formation of frost blisters. FIRST aid:
keep immediately under running cold water. Do not pull
away!

• Never store liquids in bottles or cans (besides high per­centage spirits) especially carbonated beverages in the
freezer, as these will burst during freezing.

• Avoid unnecessarily low temperature in the appliance.
Minus temperatures may occur at high settings.
Caution: Bottles may burst.

• Foods that are intended to be defrosted or cooked rst,

such as breads or meats, must not be eaten in their fro­zen state.

• If food looks or smells strange, do not attempt to eat it. If

in doubt throw it away.

• Never store inammable, explosive or corrosive materi­als in the appliance.

• Do not store or use gasoline or other inammable mate­rials in the vicinity of the appliance to avoid a re.

• Do not store medicines, which need a precision storage

temperature or bacteria or chemical agents in the appli­ance .

• Do not spray volatile materials such as insecticide on the

surface of the appliance.

• Do not place unstable articles (heavy objects, contain­ers lled with water) on the top of the appliance, to avoid

personal injury caused by falling or electric shock caused
by contact with water.

• Make sure that there is no gas or other inammable gas

leaking in the vicinity of the appliance. In the case of
this occurring, turn off the valve of the leaking gas; open
doors and windows but do not plug or unplug the power
cords of the appliance or any other appliance.

• Do not pull on the bottle racks in the door. The door may
be pulled askew, the bottle rack may be pulled away, or
the refrigerator may topple.

• To ensure the refrigerator’s electrical insulation, do not
spray or ush the appliance.

• When unplugging the appliance allow at least 5 minutes

before restarting, as frequent starting be damage the
compressor.

• The condition of food must be checked if a warming in

the freezer has taken place.

Refrigerant Gas Information

IMPORTANT: This appliance is provided with ammable re­frigerant gas, ISOBUTHANE (R600a). Make sure the refriger­ant circuit is not damaged during transportation or installation.
Leaking refrigerant my cause eye injuries or ignite. If a dam-

age has occurred, keep away open re sources, thoroughly

ventilate the room, do not plug or unplug the power cords of
the appliance or any other appliance. Inform the customer
service.

Cleaning and Maintenance

• Before undertaking any routine maintenance or minor

repairs, disconnect the appliance from the electrical sup­ply.

• Electrical equipment should be serviced only by qualied

electrical experts, because improper repairs can cause
considerable consequential damages. Before calling for

service, please read section "Troubleshooting" rst

• When moving the appliance take care not to damage the

leads, pipes or condenser unit.

• Do not scrape off frost and ice with sharp objects. Do

not use sprays, electric heaters like heater, hair dryer,
steam cleaners or other sources of heat in order to avoid
damage to the plastic parts.

• Clean the cold glass shelves with cold water. Sudden

temperature change may cause the glass to break.

• Do not clean the housing with hard brushes, wire brush­es, detergent powder, petrol, amyl acetate, acetone
and similar organic solutions, acid or alkaline solutions.
Please clean with special refrigerator detergent to avoid
damage.

Caring for the Environment

Disposing of Your Packaging

Your new appliance was protected by suitable packaging
while on its way to you. All of the materials used are environ­mentally friendly for disposal and can be recycled.
Please make a contribution to protecting the environment by
disposing of the packaging appropriately.

Disposing of Your Old Appliance

This symbol on the product or its packaging
indicates that the product may not be treated as
household waste. Instead it should be handed
over your local community waste collection/ recy­cling centre.

Old appliances still have some residual value. An environ­mentally friendly method of disposal will ensure that valuable
raw materials can be recovered and used again.

When an appliance has reached the end of its working life
unplug it from the mains. Cut off the mains cable, remove the
drawers and shelves and dismantle the door/s and seals to
prevent children and pets being trapped inside the appliance
and dispose all.
DO NOT damage the refrigerant circuit during transport.

Intended Use

The appliance is suitable for cooling and freezing food and
making ice cubes. This appliance has been designed exclu­sively for use in dry-interior households. Every other use is
improper and may lead to injuries, whereby the liability of the
manufacturer will cease

Changes or modications are not allowed in any form. They

would cause the loss of warranty claims.

Haier cannot be held liable for damage resulting from
incorrect or improper use or operation.

Standards and Directives

This product meets the requirements of all applicable EC di­rectives with the corresponding harmonised standards, which
provide for CE.
Product hermetical closing has been tested according to the
law.

About the Fresh Food Compartment

• Clean the inside and outside of the appliance with water

and a mild detergent before putting any food in it. Clean
the ice maker too.

• After the appliance has been levelled and cleaned, wait

for at least 6 hours before connecting it to the power
supply. Make sure the socket meets the requirements
and connect it to an earthed socket outlet.

• Set the temperatures for the compartments or use the

Fuzzy mode.

• Load the appliance with food after it has been running

for a while and the inside is cool enough.

It is recommended to leave storage space between the foods
for good cold air circulation. The temperatures in the refrigera­tor are slightly warmer near the top and colder near the base.

Foods that are likely to perish quickly should be placed to­wards the rear of the appliance – where it is coolest.

Suggestions for storage (Fig.2-2):

1. Eggs, cans, tins, condiment,etc.

2. Butters, cheeses, tea,children’s foods, etc.

3. Drinks and all kinds of bottled foods.

4. Pickled foods, cans.

5. Meat foods,small foods.

6. Fast foods,easy odour foods,dairy.

7. Flour foods, cans,dairy, bean curd.

8. Press different keys for vegetable, meat, fruit, sh,

etc.

9. Fruits, vegetables or salads,etc.

10. Cooked meats, sausage, etc.

Shelves

The height of the shelves can be adjusted to t your storage

needs.

The shelves will not pull out accidentally when you remove
foodstuff from the appliance.

When adjusting the height of a shelf, rst remove any

food placed on the shelf.

Remove The Shelves

The height of the shelf can be adjusted to t your needs

(Fig.2-3). When it needs to be cleaned, it can be also re­moved as follows:

Lift both front and rear of the shelf along the direction ①. With
the front tilted upwards over the rear, then pull it out along the
direction ②. Ensure that all ends of a shelf are level.

When repositioning, operate as the reverse steps.

The Light

The LED interior light comes on when the door is opened.
The performance of the light is not affected by any of the ap­pliances other settings.

Function and setting method of My zone
drawer

The refrigerator is equipped with a My zone drawer which has
individual temperature control functions. In accordance with

the food’s storage demands, foods can be placed in variable

temperature compartments that are suitable for their storage:

Fruit & Vegetable, Quick cool, 0 ° fresh, and Soft Defrost.

Tip: due to different water contents of meat, some meat with
more moisture will be frozen at lower temperatures during
storage, so “Immediately cut” meat should be stored in MY
ZONE, with function “0°Fresh”.

The features of My zone drawer:

1. 22 L big volume to store more foods.

2. Four independent temperature control levels.

3. Precise temperature control to ensure longer-lasting
freshness.

My zone control panel:

Setting method:

Press the “Select” button and the icons of fruits&vegetables,

Quick Cool, 0° Fresh, Soft Defrost icons will illuminate from

left to right in a cycle.
Pressing the icon “Lock” for 3 seconds will activate the se­lected, illuminated function and lock the control panel.
For unlocking the control panel press icon “Lock” for 3 sec­onds again.

longer freshness.

The control panel on My zone will be locked automatically
after 30 minutes no operation or by closing the fridge door.

For any operation you rst have to unlock the control panel by

pressing the "Lock" icon.

Please select the proper tap position according to your

food. If the inappropriate tap position is chosen, fruits

and vegetables will be frozen or sh and meat melted.

When Quick cool function is used, My zone drawer will

continue to refrigerate in 60 minutes and its interior tem­perature will reduce to below 0℃, so the vegetables and
fruits in the drawer should be taken out in advance to
avoid freezing; after 60 minutes the temperature will be
kept at 2℃.

When the ambient temperature is lower (than 10℃),

Quick cool function is not suggested.

Sealed box

It is used for separately storage of medicine or cosmetic (Fig.
2-4).

Please not store things that need precision storage

temperature such as drug and food therapy articles, to
prevent them deteriorating.

The seal box shouldn’t be opened more than 120°, as

doing so might damage the seal box.

The Quick Cool function could fast

chill beverage in a short time and to a
lower temperature, so you can easily
enjoy cool beverage. Take out the
bottles before they could freeze.

Suitable for storage of fresh foods.
When the temperature is 0℃, most

of foods could be fresh and can’t

be frozen to ice, so this is the best
selection to store instant and fresh
foods.

With this function you can thaw food
without liquid residues on them. The
food stays partially frozen, which
facilitates chopping and cooking. The
temperature in My zone drawer is set
to + 1 °C.

About the Freezer Compartment

The freezer compartment consists of 3 drawers, an ice maker,
4 glass shelves and 5 bottle holders (Fig. 2-5).

As with the fridge, certain areas of the freezer are better for
storage of certain foods.

Large/heavier portions of food, such as meats joints for
roasting are best stored in the drawers at the bottom of the
appliance, while less weighty items should be stored on the
shelves – this is to prevent damage to the appliance.

You should always make sure that food stored is suitable for
freezing, and that you have stored it securely inside the appli­ance.

Please keep the distance more than 10 mm between the

food placed and the sensor to ensure the cooling effect.

Please keep the lowest drawer when the appliance work-

ing in order to ensure the cooling effect.

Bottle Holder

The bottle holders are intended for temporary storage of spir­its with a high alcohol content. Beverage without high alcohol
should be cooled in the refrigerator (My zone drawer with

Quick Cool mode).

Additionally you can store small parts in the bottle holders.

WARNING! Bottles and cans may burst! Set a timer that

will remind you to remove bottles/cans without high alco­hol content.

The Light

The LED interior lights comes on when the door is opened.
The performance of the lights is not affected by any of the ap­pliances other settings.

Defrosting Food for Cooking

Should food become partially thawed or defrosted, it should
be consumed as soon as possible as the quality will be af­fected by defrosting.

Always make sure that food is thoroughly defrosted be-

fore cooking and no ice crystals remain. This is especial­ly important for poultry, as this can be extremely harmful
to health.

Always follow the defrosting instructions on packaging when

defrosting ready meals – manufacturers’ guidelines are

always best, as some frozen foods should be cooked from
frozen.

Use of ice maker

Before rst use the ice maker should be cleaned (see next

page).

When making ice

1. Please pull-out the ice-making deector to locking posi­tion.

2. Slowly pour puried water from measuring cup into de-

ector and the water will ow along the deector into the

ice-making box.

3. After making sure all water has been poured into the ice-

making box, push the deector to the original position
and make sure it xes well.

Please not apply too much force on the handle, to avoid

damaging it.

Please pour water and make ice after making sure there

is no ice in ice-making box.

When using deector to adjust water ow, please make

sure the ice-making box is installed well.

Water in the measured cup can't be over the max. line,

to avoid overowing and difculty in getting ice.

Check the situation of water stored in the ice box through

the view window; if the water isn't full in ice slots, please
gently shake ice-making box to make the water evenly­distributed in the ice slots.

Make sure the deector is pushed back to the original

place and keep the parts undamaged.

When collecting ice

1. Rotate the knob of ice box clockwise and ice cubes will
fall into the ice box; if some of the ice cubes can't fall into
ice box, then it needs to be completely rotated according
to arrow direction.

2. Using ice shovel to collect ice. (Ice shovel will be sup­plied along with the appliance, and will be located in the
same bag as the user manual.)

Before collecting the ice, please make sure that the wa-

ter has completely frozen into ice; if you rotate the knob
without the ice cubes having completely frozen, then the
water left in the ice will cause ice cubes to bind together
in the ice box after they fall into it.

When putting the ice box back after use, you must

ensure that it is xed well. Don't pour water into the ice-

storage case to make ice; otherwise it will damage the
case.

When you don't need ice for a long time, please empty

the ice box to avoid ice in the box freezing into a large
cube, which will happen if any of the cubes have melted.

After making ice three times, ice in the ice box will reach

a proper volume—more than three times the ice volume
in the ice box will be too much and cause difculty in get­ting ice out from the box.

If the freezer chamber door is opened frequently, warm

air will go into freezing chamber, so the time that water
freezes into ice will be longer.

Disassembling method of ice-making box
(When cleaning)

1. Please take out ice-making box before cleaning and
make sure to put it back after cleaning.

2. When clean ice-making box, please don't directly clean
it in water or with water. Rather, wipe it with a wet wash­cloth and dry for use; otherwise normal functionality of
the ice-making box will be affected.

3. Please take down the ice-making box when the ice
maker stops being used; the box to store ice also can be
used as bottle/can holder.

Lock/Unlock Setting

The Lock mode is on with ”Lock icon G” highlighted but not
“Lock halo H”. The Unlock mode is on with the above icons
lighting status reversed.

Set Lock/Unlock as follows:

In the Unlock mode, by pressing “Lock icon G”, the three light
points

refrigerator switches to the Lock mode.

In the Lock mode, by pressing “Lock icon G”, the three light
points

the refrigerator switches to the Unlock mode.

It is not allowed to select Frz./Ref., adjust temperature range,
or change the function mode in the Lock mode. If you do the

adjustment in Lock mode, “Lock icon G” will icker, and the

panel beeps to alarm the not allowed operation in Lock mode.

In the Unlock mode, the “Lock icon G” switches to Lock mode
after being pressed and hold for 3 seconds.

Holiday

In the Lock mode, the “Lock icon G switches to Unlock mode
after being pressed and hold for 3 seconds.

The following descriptions are by default in Unlock mode

unless stated specically.

Energy Saving Control

When all the doors are closed and no operation has been car­ried out for 30 seconds, the panel will auto set off into Lock
mode for energy saving.
Pressing and holding Unlock icon for 3 seconds, or opening
any doors, the panel will be lighted again.

Super Cool Mode

Switch on the Super Cool mode if larger quantity of food
should be stored (for example after the purchase) or if you
want to cool drinks quickly. The Super Cool mode acceler­ates the cooling of fresh food and protects the goods already
stored from undesirable warming. The factory setting tem­perature is + 2 °C.
Tap “Super cool icon C” to switch on/off Super Cool mode.
The icon C being highlighted means the Super Cool mode is
on while the icon C being half lit means the mode is off.

In the Super Cool mode, the refrigerator will automatically
switch off the Super Cool mode once reaching the selected
temperature. To exit the mode manually, tap “Super cool icon
C” to switch it off.

Super Freeze Mode

Adjust the Temperature

The Super Freeze function is designed to fully retain the food
nutrition in frozen room. The food can be frozen thoroughly
in the least time. If you need to freeze a large amount of food
once, it is recommended to set the Super Freeze mode on
ahead for 12h before the usage of frozen room. By doing so,
the compartment can reach the lower temperature as needed
to quickly freeze food, retain the full nutrition for easy storage.

Tap “Super freeze icon D” to switch on/off Super Freeze
mode. When the icon D being highlighted means the Super
Freeze mode is on while the icon D being half lit means the
mode is off.

In the Super Freeze mode, the refrigerator will automatically
switch off the Super Freeze mode once reaching the selected
temperature. To exit the mode manually, tap “Super freeze
icon D” to switch it off.

Fuzzy Mode

In the Fuzzy mode, the refrigerator can automatically adjust
the temperature range of each compartment based on the

ambient and refrigerator’s temperature. This function is totally

hand free.

Tap “Fuzzy icon E” to switch on/off Fuzzy mode. When the
icon E being highlighted means the Fuzzy mode is on while
the icon E being half lit means the mode is off.

Adjust the Temperature for Fridge

Tap “Frz./Ref. icon A” to highlight the fridge section, now you
can see the temperature of fridge in the temperature section.
Tap “Temperature adjustment icon B”, the fridge compart-

ment’s temperature is shown in order of “9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1,

9”. You can slide the “Temperature adjustment icon B” up and
down to select the required temperature range. To lower the
temperature, slide up and otherwise slide down.
The optimal cooling temperature in the cooling area is 4 °C

If you make no adjustment in 5 seconds after tapping, the cur­rent temperature range will be displayed. Tap any other icon

to conrm the set range.

Adjust the Temperature for Freezer

Tap “Frz./Ref. icon A” to highlight the freeze section, now you
can see the temperature of freeze in the temperature section.
Tap “Temperature adjustment icon B”, the freeze compart-

ment’s temperature is shown in order of “-15, -16, -17, -18,

-19, -20, -21, -22, -23, -15”. You can slide the “Temperature

adjustment icon C” up and down to select the required tem­perature range. To lower the temperature, slide up and other­wise slide down.
The optimum temperature in the freezing area is -18 °C.

If you make no adjustment in 5 seconds after tapping, the cur­rent temperature range will be displayed. Tap any other icon

to conrm the set range.

In the Fuzzy mode, it is not allowed to set the tempera-

ture range for the freezer and the fridge. If you attempt to

do so, the Fuzzy icon will icker and beep to indicate that

it is in Fuzzy mode.

Holiday Mode

The Holiday function is designed to meet your need when you
decide not to use the fridge compartment for a considered
long time. In the Holiday mode, the freezer compartment is
free for your setting, while the fridge compartment is automati­cally set to 17°C (actual temperature is below 17°C) to pre­vent the compartment giving off an odour and save energy.
So you have the possibility to let the empty fridge compart­ment closed

Tap “Holiday icon F” to switch on/off Holiday mode. When the
icon F being highlighted means the Smart mode is on while
the icon F being half lit means the mode is off.

Make sure to empty the fridge compartment before set-

ting the Holiday mode.

Some special functions, such as Fuzzy and Super

Freeze, cannot be set on in parallel mode because of the
contradicting control mechanism. Your selection of one
mode will cause the contradicting mode to be automati­cally set off.

Door Open Alarm

When the door/s is/are open for a long time or not closed fully,
the appliance will tick periodically to alarm you to close the
door tight.

Power-off Memory

The working status is stored instantly at the time of power-off,
and will be fully restored after power-on.

The status cannot be memorized in Lock mode when

power-off. After power-on, the panel will self-check with
“Lock icon G” not light and the refrigerator is in Unlock
mode.

Turning the appliance off/on

The appliance is in operation as soon as it is connected to the
power supply.
Empty the refrigerator before turning the appliance off.
To switch the appliance off unplug the main cable.

Tips on Storing Fresh Food

• Keep your fridge temperature below 5°C.

• ‘Best before’ and ‘use by’ dates. Food with a “use by”

date goes off quite quickly. It can be dangerous to eat
after this date. Food with a “best before” date is longer­lasting. It should be safe to eat but may not be at its best
quality after this date.

• Make sure that food that have been cooked and require

chilling, are at room temperature before placing them
into the appliance. Make sure that these foods are stored
in suitable containers.

• Foods stored in the refrigerator should be washed and

dried before storing.

• Some food are best left wrapped in the manufactures

original packaging when put in the refrigerator. If un­wrapped, it is recommended that the food should be re­wrapped, so that the water cannot evaporate.
Some fruit and vegetables keep fresher and food smells
will not mix if wrapped.

• Stored foods can be marked in bags or containers.

• Foods eaten daily should be stored at the front of the

shelf.

• Make sure that food is stored systematically (raw meats
with raw meats, dairy with dairy) to avoid avour transfer

and cross contamination. Raw meats should be stored
at the bottom of the fridge to prevent the possibility of
it dripping onto uncooked food. Other foods should be
stored above raw meat.

• When storing food in the fresh food section always make
sure there is adequate space for airow circulation. This

helps to maintain the shelf life of the food.

• When storing food in the refrigerator make sure that

foods are not too close to the rear wall to avoid the risk
of freezing.

• It is suggested for radishes and other root vegetables to

trim the leaves. This keeps the nutrition in the root and
not absorbed by the leaves.

• Put frozen foods into the fresh food area to let them de­frost. The low temperature of the refrigerator reduces the
formation of bacteria and extends food life.

• Some foods like onions, garlic, bananas and root veg­etables are better stored at room temperature than in the
fridge.

• The ageing process of fruit and vegetables such as cour­gettes, melons, papaya, banana, pineapple, etc. can be
accelerated in the refrigerator. Therefore, it is not advis­able to store them in the refrigerator. However, the ripen­ing of strongly green fruits can be promoted for a certain
period. Onions, garlic, ginger and other root vegetables
should also be stored at room temperature.

• Packaging fresh foods properly, using the correct tem­perature and taking into account food hygiene, will
enhance the quality of fresh foods stored within this ap­pliance.

• Use plastic bags, aluminium foil or other food wraps to
cover fresh foods not in packaging to prevent avour

transfer and prevent contamination.

• Before storing items in multi- packs (i.e. yoghurt) remove

any excess packaging.

NEVER store anything that is ammable, volatile or ex-

plosive inside the appliance.

• Delicate foods should be stored in the coolest part of the

appliance.

• Try not to open the door too often.

• Avoid unnecessarily low temperature in the appliance.

Minus temperatures may occur at high settings.
Caution: Bottles may burst.

• Some foods contain natural oils and acids (e.g. citric

acid) which can damage plastics if spilled – make sure
these foods are suitably contained.

• Unpleasant odours inside the fridge are a sign that

something has spilled and cleaning is required.
Using warm water with bicarbonate of soda will clean the
interior of the appliance and remove most spillages (see

‘Cleaning and Maintenance’).

• Always remember to remove perishable foods from this

appliance before taking prolonged trips of holidays.

4. Energy Saving Tips

Tips on Storing Freezing Food

• As with storing fresh foods, suitable packaging, correct

temperature and food hygiene will enhance the quality of
the food you are freezing.

• Make sure that all foods for freezing are of a high quality,

and suitable for freezing.

• Use packaging material that is odourless and air proof

(such as plastic bags) to store food in so different foods
can be mixed without affecting the quality.
Make sure that it is airtight. Leaking packaging will dehy-

drate the products and lead to loss of benecial vitamins.

• Keep the surface of the packaging dry – this keeps the

packs from freezing together.

• Mark packages with the kind of food contained and the

date of storage.

• Food needs to be frozen quickly, so it is best to freeze

small portions whenever possible and ensure that they
are as cold as possible before storage. The recommend­ed maximum weight for each portion is 2.5 kg.

• Keep food which is fresh away from food which is al­ready frozen, if you need to freeze fresh food every day,
make sure that it is in small portions to prevent this.

• Do not exceed the maximum load for freezing – which is

given as 16 kg / 24-hours (see data badge for details).

• When frozen for several days in a row, approximately

2/3 of the maximum frozen unit should be taken into the
appliance.

• Take food from the freezer to defrost when needed.
Defrosted food cannot be refrozen unless it is cooked.

• Beverages with high alcohol content should be stored

vertically in tightly sealed bottles.

• Set a timer that will remind you to remove bottles/cans

without high alcohol content stored in the bottle holders
in order to avoid bursting.

Energy Saving Tips

• The appliance should be installed in a cool and well

ventilated room, keep it away from heat, and avoid direct
exposure to sunlight as much as possible.

• Leave as much gap or space around the appliance as

practical to ensure good ventilation.

• Avoid unnecessarily low temperature in the appliance.
The energy consumption increases the lower the tem­perature in the appliance is set.

• Open the appliance door as little and as briey as pos­sible.

• Cool hot foods or drinks rst and then put them in the ap­pliance.

Positioning Your Appliance

Choosing the Right Location

This appliance should be installed in a room that is dry and
well ventilated. To provide adequate ventilation, make sure
the appliance is at least 5 cm clear on all sides from kitchen
cabinet (Fig.5-1, 5-2). The distance to the ceiling should be at
least 2,5 cm (Fig.5-3). Any units placed above the appliance

must be clear by 5 cm to allow sufcient ventilation.

If locating the appliance close to a corner, sufcient spacing

must be left for opening the doors and removing the shelves.

This appliance should be at least 100 mm from any electric
or gas cooker and 300 mm from any coal or oil stove. If this is
not possible, make sure that appropriate insulation is used.

Avoid exposing the appliance to direct sunlight, and sources
of heat (such as radiators, heaters or cookers).

If this appliance is situated in a cold environment (such as a
shed, outhouse or garage) it will affect its performance.

Removing and Installing the Doors

In the event that you need to remove the appliance doors,
please follow the door removal and installation instructions
below.

Before any operation, rst switch off the appliance and then

unplug it from the mains or disconnect the electrical power
supply.

Never place the appliance horizontally on the ground.

It is suggested, for your safety, to have two or more peo-

ple to assist you in completing the below task to avoid
injury, product damage or property loss.

The Freezer Door

1. Undo the hinge cover screw and remove the cover
(Fig.5-4). Release the cable connector.

2. Undo the screws holding the upper hinge in position and
then remove the hinge (Fig.5-5).

3. Lift the freezer compartment door to remove it.

The Fridge Door

1. Undo the hinge cover screws and remove the cover
(Fig.5-6). Release the cable connector.

2. Undo the screws holding the upper hinge in position and
then remove the hinge (Fig.5-7).

3. Lift the refrigerator compartment door to remove it.

Retting the Door

Ret the doors by reversing the removal steps. Ensure that
the grounding cable will be xed by the screw (Fig.5-7).

Levelling the Appliance and Adjusting the
Doors

Make sure that the appliance is on solid level ooring. If the
appliance is placed on a plinth, at, strong and re resistant

materials must be used.

Levelling the Doors by the Feet

The doors may require some alignment before connecting
the fridge-freezer to the electrical supply. This can be done by
adjusting the levelling feet (Fig.5-8 and Fig.5-9).

Insert a suitable at screwdriver into the slots of the adjust­able feet. Turn the screwdriver clockwise to raise the feet
(Fig.5-8), and counter-clockwise to lower the feet (Fig.5-9).

To raise the left-hand door turn the left-hand foot clockwise
until it is level (Fig.5-10).

To raise the right-hand door, turn the right-hand foot clockwise
until the it is level.

Fine Tuning of the Doors

If the doors are still not in one level after levelling the doors by
the feet (Fig. 5-11), this mismatch can be remedied by turning
the hinge lifting shaft at the right bottom corner of refrigerating
door with a spanner (enclosed in the accessories bag).

Connect the appliance to the electrical supply (220-240 V ~
50Hz) with the plug and lead, which are tted.

Connections to the mains supply should be in accordance
with local regulations.

The mains electricity supply must be conformed to the

rating plate as shown on the inner of the appliance part.

The appliance must be plugged into an earthed socket.

Always make sure that the plug is accessible after the

appliance has been positioned.

Defrosting

Defrosting is done automatically so there is no need to
manually defrost this appliance.

DO NOT use mechanical devices to accelerate the

defrosting process.

Cleaning

Clean the appliance when only little or no food is stored.
The appliance should be cleaned every four weeks for good
maintenance and to prevent bad stored food odors.

Disconnect the appliance from the power supply before

cleaning.

DO NOT use harsh abrasives, or aggressive cleaners as

these can damage the interior of the appliance.

The appliance is heavy. When moving the appliance be

careful to protect the oor.Keep the appliance vertical

and do not tilt the appliance – this prevents damage to

the oor.

DO NOT spray or rinse the fridge with water or other

liquids. This could harm the electrical parts.

Use a dry cloth when cleaning near the electrical parts

(such as the light or switch).

DO NOT clean the fridge with a stiff or wire brush.

DO NOT use an organic solvent such as detergent,

petrol, lacquer, thinners, acetone or acid.

To prevent your skin sticking to cold steel parts, make

sure your hands are not wet when touching the parts.

DO NOT use HOT water to clean the glass shelves, as

they may break or crack.

A possible temperature rise during the cleaning can shorten the
storage time of frozen food. In case of heat the condition of

frozen goods must be checked.

Empty the appliance of food and remove the shelves.
Clean the interior using warm water and bicarbonate of soda
with a soft cloth. Make sure that the interior is then dried
carefully with a suitable cloth.

saving mode after on for 7 minutes, reopen refrigerator
door corresponding to its illuminating lamp, the lamps

to provide illumination, due to shocks and scratches by
sharp or hard articles.

When Not in Use

If you are not using the appliance for an extended length of
time and you do not want to activate the Holiday-function, it is
recommended that you switch off the electrical supply, empty
any food out, clean the inside of the appliance and leave the
door ajar. This will save energy, and also prevent a build up of
stale odours inside.

Power Cut

In the event of a power cut, food should remain safely cold for
about 15 hours.

Follow these tips during a prolonged power interruption,
especially in summer:

• Open the doors as few times as possible.

• Do not put additional food into the appliance during a

power interruption.

• If prior notice of a power interruption is given and the

interruption duration is longer than 15 hours, make some
ice and put it in a container in the top of the fridge.

• Should there be a prolonged power cut you may need

to remove food from the freezer compartment and store
it in a cold place, wrapped in layers of newspaper to
preserve suitable temperatures.

• Once power is restored replace the food back into the

freezer compartment.

• If the power outage is short term, most foods can be left

inside the freezer compartment – this is the best way of
preserving temperature – and surrounded by ice cubes
from the icebox. This is also an ideal solution for power
outages you may have been pre-warned about.

• As temperature in the appliance will rise during a power

interruption or other failure, the storage period and edible
quality of food will be reduced.

• Any food that defrosts should be either consumed, or

cooked and refrozen (where suitable) soon afterwards in
order to prevent health risks.

À faire...

Vériez que la che n'est pas coincée sous
le réfrigérateur. Tirez sur la prise et non sur

le cordon d'alimentation pour débrancher

le réfrigérateur.Veillez à ne pas écraser ou

endommager le cordon d'alimentation lorsque

vous éloignez le réfrigérateur du mur. Vériez
que la che n'est pas endommagée ; si elle
l'est, éteignez l'appareil et débranchez-le avec

prudence puis faites appel au S.A.V. pour son
remplacement.

Vériez que le réfrigérateur ne se trouve
pas à proximité d'une fuite de gaz ou d'autre
produit inammable. En cas de fuite, fermez
immédiatement la vanne de gaz et ouvrez
les portes et les fenêtres ; ne branchez et ne
débranchez jamais le cordon d'alimentation du

réfrigérateur ou d'un autre appareil.

Débranchez le réfrigérateur avant son

nettoyage ou son entretien et avant de
remplacer son ampoule.

Ouvrez les portes par la poignée en faisant

attention de ne pas vous coincer les doigts.

Si vous avez débranché le réfrigérateur,
attendez au moins 5 minutes avant de le

remettre en marche étant donné que les
arrêts fréquents peuvent endommager le
compresseur.

Maintenez toujours les fentes de ventilation

bien dégagées.
Lors de la mise au rebut du réfrigérateur,

retirez les portes, les joints de portes et les
clayettes an d'éviter que des enfants ne se

blessent ou restent enfermés à l'intérieur.
Le réfrigérateur doit être installé dans un lieu

bien ventilé à proximité d'une source d'eau
potable.

Laissez un espace d'au moins 20 cm au
dessus du réfrigérateur et de 10 cm tout

autour.
La prise à laquelle l'appareil est branché doit

être accessible.

À ne pas faire...

La tension d'alimentation du réfrigérateur est

de 220-240 Vca/50 Hz. Ne branchez jamais

le réfrigérateur sur une autre tension car il
pourrait ne pas démarrer, le régulateur de

température et/ou le compresseur pourraient

subir des dommages ou le compresseur
pourrait faire un bruit anormal. Dans ce cas, il
faut installer un régulateur automatique.

Raccordez le réfrigérateur à une prise de
terre able. Le cordon d'alimentation du
réfrigérateur est muni d'une che avec

conducteur de terre qui doit être branchée

dans une prise avec terre. N'enlevez jamais la

troisième broche (terre). Après l'installation du
réfrigérateur, la prise doit être accessible.

Ne placez jamais de produits inammables,

explosifs ou corrosifs dans le réfrigérateur.

N'introduisez jamais de médicaments, de

bactéries ou d'agents chimiques dans le
réfrigérateur. Ce réfrigérateur est un appareil
électroménager. Il est déconseillé d'y
placer des produits dont la température de

conservation est très stricte. Ne stockez pas
d'essence ou de produits inammables dans

le réfrigérateur ou à proximité de l'appareil à
cause des risques d'incendie.

Ne placez pas d'objets instables (objets
lourds, récipients pleins de liquide) au-dessus

du réfrigérateur, pour éviter les blessures en
cas de chute ou les chocs électriques en cas
de contact avec l'eau.

Ne vous accrochez pas aux portes ou aux
porte-bouteilles des portes. La porte et/ou le
porte-bouteilles pourraient s'arracher ou le

réfrigérateur pourrait basculer.

N'appuyez pas sur la porte du congélateur

ou les clayettes pour placer ou retirer des
aliments et des boissons.

Lorsque l'appareil est en marche, ne touchez

pas les surfaces givrées du congélateur avec
le mains, notamment si elles sont humides car
elles pourraient geler sur la paroi.

Pour assurer l'isolation électrique du

réfrigérateur, ne lavez pas le réfrigérateur à
l'eau et ne l'installez pas dans un lieu humide
ou exposé aux éclaboussures. Essuyez les
éclaboussures de liquide et nettoyez les

taches à l'aide d'un chiffon propre.
Il est interdit de démonter ou d'altérer

le réfrigérateur sans autorisation. Les
mouvements brusques du réfrigérateur
peuvent causer des dommages aux tuyaux de
refroidissement. Des dommages matériels ou
des blessures pourraient en résulter.

Toute réparation du réfrigérateur doit être

conée à un professionnel.
Ne placez jamais de bouteilles de bière ou

d'autres boissons dans le congélateur car
elles éclateraient sous l'effet du gel.

N'installez pas le réfrigérateur dans un endroit

exposé aux rayons du soleil, à proximité d'un
poêle, d'un radiateur ou d'autres appareils
dégageant de la chaleur.

Ne stockez pas de trop grosses quantités

d'aliments dans le compartiment du
congélateur pour éviter de forcer le
compresseur.

Il est conseillé de ne pas remplir les tiroirs au-

dessus de la ligne de repère.
Le poids total des aliments ne doit pas

dépasser 30 kg.
Pour éviter de faire tomber les aliments, tirez

délicatement et perpendiculairement les tiroirs
du congélateur.

N'utilisez pas de moyens mécaniques ou

autres pour accélérer le dégivrage, à part les
accessoires recommandés par le fabricant.

En cas de problème avec la lampe du
réfrigérateur, contactez notre service
clientèle ; vous ne devez pas les remplacez
vous-même.

Ne laissez pas les portes de réfrigérateur

ouvertes sans la présence d'un adulte

et laissez pas les enfants rentrer dans le

réfrigérateur.

Ne laissez pas les enfants grimper dans le

tiroir du congélateur.

N'utilisez pas d'appareils électriques à

l'intérieur du réfrigérateur, sauf s'ils sont
prévus pour un tel emploi.

Veillez à ne pas endommager le circuit
frigorique.

N'utilisez jamais un sèche-cheveux pour

sécher l'intérieur de l'appareil.

Ne placez pas de bougies allumées dans le

réfrigérateur pour le désodoriser.

Ne pulvérisez pas de produits volatils, tels que

des insecticides, sur l'appareil.

Veillez à éloigner les enfants du rayon d'action

des portes avant des les ouvrir ou de les
refermer.

Ce réfrigérateur ne doit pas être utilisé par
des personnes (y compris des enfants)

atteintes de décience physique, sensorielle

ou mentale ou encore manquant d’expérience
ou de connaissances, sauf si ces personnes

votre nouveau réfrigérateur-congélateur vous donnera
entière satisfaction. Veuillez lire cette notice avant d'utiliser
votre nouveau réfrigérateur-congélateur. Conservez cette
notice en lieu sûr ; elle doit accompagner l'appareil en cas
de changement de propriétaire. Nous espérons que vous
trouverez dans cette notice toutes les informations dont vous
avez besoin. Pour tout complément d'information et en cas de
doute, n'hésitez pas à nous contacter (cf. la section Garantie

AVERTISSEMENT! Cet appareil doit être mis à la terre.

Attendez au moins six heures avant de brancher

l'appareil après son installation. Ce délai est nécessaire

pour permettre au circuit frigorique de se stabiliser

après le transport.

Conez toujours l'installation de l'appareil à un

professionnel.

Tout autre type d'utilisation peut donner lieu à l'annulation
de la garantie ou de la responsabilité du fabricant.

• Avant de brancher l'appareil sur le secteur, nettoyez

l'intérieur avec de l'eau tiède et du bicarbonate de soude,

puis essuyez soigneusement.

• Vériez qu'aucune partie de l'appareil n'est

endommagée, en particulier les composants du circuit

frigorique, les tuyaux ou les ls. S'il est endommagé,
N'installez PAS l'appareil. Faites appel à un technicien
qualié ou contactez le service clientèle.

• Si les accessoires à l'intérieur de l'appareil ont été

déplacés pendant le transport, les remettre en place
conformément aux instructions.

• Assurez-vous que l'alimentation électrique de votre
prise est correcte pour cet appareil - la tension et la

consommation d’énergie sont indiquées sur la plaque
signalétique de l’appareil. La plaque signalétique se
trouve à l’intérieur de l’appareil (en haut du compartiment
réfrigérateur).

• Après avoir installé, nettoyé et essuyé l'appareil et après
l'avoir laissé reposer plusieurs heures, vous pouvez le

brancher et le mettre sous tension.

Consignes de sécurité

AVERTISSEMENT! Utilisez exclusivement de l'eau

potable avec cet appareil.

AVERTISSEMENT! N'obstruez jamais les orices de

ventilation de cet appareil.

Veillez à NE PAS endommager le circuit frigorique. S'il

est endommagé, n'utilisez pas l'appareil.

AVERTISSEMENT! N'utilisez PAS de moyens

mécaniques (tels que des sèche-cheveux) pour dégivrer

cet appareil.

• En cas de remplacement d'anciens appareils, assurez-

vous que vous avez désactivé tous les mécanismes
de verrouillage avant l'élimination - il peut même être

préférable d'enlever complètement la porte de l'appareil

an d'éviter que des enfants ne restent coincés à

l'intérieur.

• L'appareil doit être branché à l'alimentation électrique en

toute sécurité. Des connexions desserrées, les prises

cassées et ls dénudés sont un danger pour la sécurité.
Assurez-vous que toutes les connexions sont solides.

• Avant de procéder à un entretien de routine ou à une
petite réparation, débranchez le cordon électrique de

l'appareil. Ceci comprend le nettoyage de l'appareil et le
remplacement des ampoules.

• NE touchez PAS les surfaces froides de l'appareil pendant

son fonctionnement car vos mains pourraient rester

collées à la paroi et subit des brûlures de congélation.

• Lorsque vous déplacez l'appareil, faites attention à ne
pas endommager les ls, les tuyaux ou le condenseur.
Si ces éléments sont endommagés, contactez un
technicien de maintenance qualié.

• Ne congelez jamais de liquides effervescents (boissons
gazeuses). Ces liquides se dilatent pendant la

congélation, ce qui peut conduire à l'éclatement ou

l'explosion des bouteilles / récipients.

• Les aliments qui sont destinés à être décongelés ou

cuits, tels que le pain ou la viande, ne doivent pas être
consommés gelés.

• Ne consommez pas les aliments qui ont une odeur ou un
aspect anormal. En cas de doute, jetez-les.

• N'utilisez jamais d'objets pointus ou métalliques pour
gratter la glace sur les parois de l'appareil. Utilisez

exclusivement des outils prévus à cet effet (tels que
des raclettes en plastique) et faites attention à ne pas
endommager le revêtement de l'appareil.

• Le circuit frigorique contient du réfrigérant et des huiles,
qui sont dangereux pour la santé en cas de fuites. En
cas de fuite, débranchez l'appareil et aérez la pièce.

Attention : le réfrigérant ne doit pas entrer en contact

avec les yeux. Contactez un technicien de maintenance

ou faites enlever l'appareil.

Sécurité électrique

• L'installation électrique sur laquelle cet appareil est
branché doit être conforme aux règlementations locales.

• La prise électrique DOIT être accessible après

l'installation de l'appareil.

• Veillez à ne pas écraser le cordon d'alimentation sous le

réfrigérateur.

• Ne marchez pas sur le cordon d'alimentation.

• Faites attention à ne pas endommager le cordon

d'alimentation en déplaçant le réfrigérateur.

Cordon d'alimentation endommagé

Si le cordon d'alimentation est endommagé ou usé, éteignez

le réfrigérateur et faites appel à un technicien agréé pour son
remplacement.

Informations sur le gaz réfrigérant

IMPORTANT: Cet appareil utilise de l'ISOBUTANE (R600a)
comme gaz réfrigérant. Lorsque vous déplacez l'appareil,
veillez à ne pas trop le secouer. Vous pourriez l'endommager.

d'étincelles ou de ammes libres à proximité de l'appareil.

En cas de fuite accidentelle

Laissez le gaz s'évaporer à condition que la pièce soit
sufsamment ventilée.

Comportement du gaz

Ce gaz réfrigérant est hautement inammable. Ne laissez
donc jamais le gaz entrer en contact avec des surfaces
chaudes ou des ammes nues. Le gaz R600a est plus lourd

que l'air : s'il est libéré, il forme une forte concentration au

niveau du sol si la pièce n'est pas sufsamment ventilée.

Premiers soins

Inhalation

Éloignez la personne exposée de la zone polluée et
transportez-la dans un endroit chaud et bien ventilé.

Une exposition prolongée peut entraîner une asphyxie et une
perte de connaissance.

Si nécessaire, pratiquez la respiration articielle, et dans les
cas les plus graves, administrez de l'oxygène sous étroite

surveillance médicale.

Contact avec la peaut

Un contact occasionnel avec la peau n'est généralement pas
dangereux.

Toutefois, par mesure se sécurité, lavez soigneusement la
zone souillée.
Les projections de liquides peuvent provoquer des brûlures

de congélation.

Lavez la partie souillée avec beaucoup d'eau et appelez un
médecin pour soigner les brûlures.

Contact avec les yeux

Lavez abondamment à l'eau, avec les paupières bien
ouvertes, et appelez immédiatement un médecin.
Dans tous les cas, en cas de contact avec du gaz
R600a ou d'inhalation, il est conseillé de consulter un

médecin.

Protection de l'environnement

Mise au rebut de l'emballage

Votre nouveau réfrigérateur est protégé par un emballage
pour son transport. Tous les matériaux d'emballage utilisés
sont respectueux de l'environnement et peuvent être recyclés.

Nous vous demandons d'apporter votre contribution à la

protection de l'environnement en éliminant l'emballage de
façon appropriée.

Mise au rebut de votre ancien réfrigérateur

Ce symbole sur le produit ou son emballage
indique que le produit ne peut pas être traité
comme une ordure ménagère. Il doit être remis

au centre de collecte / recyclage des déchets de

votre commune.

Les anciens appareils ont encore une certaine valeur
résiduelle. Une méthode d'élimination écologique comporte
la récupération et la recyclage des matières premières
utilisables.

Lorsqu'un appareil a atteint sa n de vie, débranchez-le du
secteur.Coupez son cordon d'alimentation et jetez-le avec la
che.

Empêchez l'utilisation des portes (en supprimant les joints) ou
les enlevez an d'éviter que des enfants ne puissent rester

coincés à l'intérieur de l'appareil.

Le cyclopentane, une substance inammable non nocive pour
l'ozone, est utilisé comme agent moussant pour la mousse

isolante.

Lors du transport de l'appareil, veillez à ne pas endommager
le circuit frigorique.

En s'assurant que ce produit est éliminé correctement, vous
aiderez à prévenir les conséquences négatives potentielles

pour l'environnement et la santé humaine.
