To prevent damage and danger from improper use, please observe the operating instructions and keep them in a safe place.

Operation with rechargeable batteries
When using the built-in recharge­able nickel metal hydride batteries, use the mains adapter supplied as a charger.
1 Plug the mains adapter into

the socket, and plug the mains adapter into the mains socket.
– The indicator lights up red. – The green
status displays show how the charging is progressing. They flash until the respective capacity has been reached (20, 40, 60, 80 and 100 %) and then remain lit.
– Once charging is complete, all
status displays are lit in green.

Completely charge up the batter­ies (24 hours) before you first use them or if you have not used them for a long time.

After the batteries are first charged, the charging time is approx. 12 hours when the appliance is switched off. If you switch on the appliance while it is charging, charging will stop.

The ambient temperature should be between 5 °C and 40 °C.

When fully charged, the appliance works for around 45 minutes. It is not advisable to charge the batteries after every use, especially if you do not use the appliance for the full 45 min­utes. Only charge the batteries when they are completely dis­charged. This increases their life. Do not charge them every day.

The green status displays show the capacity of the respective rechargeable batteries. If, for example, a capacity of only 40 % is reached, the green displays 20 and 40 light up. If the recharge­able batteries are completely empty the red charge indicator flashes.

Special features
The appliance has a ceramic/ stainless steel ( and )cutting head.
It guarantees exceedingly precise trimming and is maintenance-free.
The hair trimmer is suitable for use on dry and wet hair.
Trimming hair
1 Put on comb to for the
cutting grade you need (see the table on page 10).
2 To do this, latch the holders of
the comb attachment into the

pins on the right and left side of the appliance. First, push the left holder over the left pin, then the right holder over the right pin. Ensure that the holder you fixed first does not spring off the pin while you are doing this.

3 Place a towel around the neck
and shoulder of the person whose hair you are trimming. Make sure the person is seated so that their head is roughly at your eye level. Before trimming, comb the hair so that it falls nat­urally and you can see the direc­tion in which it grows.
4 Switch on the appliance using
the switch and start trimming.
5 Turn off the appliance using the
switch when you have finished trimming.
6 Take off the comb.

Without the mains adapter, the charged appliance can be used for wet hair in the bathroom. Never immerse the appliance in water and never let the charging station, mains adapter and cable come into contact with water.

Useful tips

Hold the appliance with a relaxed and comfortable grip.

Always cut against the natural direction of the hair.

As you cut, take a break at regu­lar intervals. You can always make a correction, but not once the hair has been cut.

Only cut a small amount the first time you use the trimmer. This is the only way to get used to the variable grades.

Do not force the comb through the hair. Let it guide you.
7
Keep combing the hair. Only look for hair which is too long and comb out clippings.

CLEANING AND CARE
Cleaning and care
1 Switch off the appliance and
unplug it if you are running it from the mains.
2 Take off the comb. 3 Clean the housing, the cutting
head and the comb attachment with a soft damp cloth or the supplied brush.

The cutting head and the appliance can be cleaned under running water. However, you must never completely immerse the appliance in water.
4 Before using the appliance
again, dry all parts completely using a towel.
5 Do not use cleaning agents. 6 Put the comb back on again.

Remove any clippings after each use.

Normally the cutting head of your appliance does not need to be oiled. If you want to maintain the original condition of the cutting head for as long as possible, it is worth oiling it at regular intervals (with the oil provided).

Storage
If you do not want to use the appliance for a long period of time, please store it carefully.
1 Ensure that it is unplugged and
completely dry.
2 Store the parts in the original
packaging in a cool, dry place.

Therefore the battery cannot be removed,this is done at the end of life of the device by our recycling partner.
Do not dispose the product with normal domestic waste at the end of its service life.Take it to a collection point for the recycling of electrical and electronic equipment. This is indicated by this symbol on the product,in the operating manual and on the packaging.
