SAFETY _____________________________________
Please read this instruction manual thoroughly prior to using this appliance! Follow all safety instructions in order to avoid damage due to improper use!
Keep the instruction manual for future use. Should a third party be given the appliance, please ensure the instruction manual is included.
This appliance is intended for domestic use only.
Never use the appliance in the bath, shower or over a wash basin filled with water; nor should it be operated with wet hands.
Do not immerse the appliance in water or let it come into contact with water, even during cleaning.
Do not use the appliance near water in bathtubs, wash basins or other vessels.
If the appliance is used in the bathroom, it is essential that you unplug it after use, as any water close to the appliance can still pose a hazard, even if the appliance is switched off.
If not already in use, installing a residual current-operated protective device (RCD) is recommended for additional protection with a rated residual operating current not exceeding 30 mA in the electrical circuit of your bathroom. Ask your electrician for advice.
Never place the appliance on soft cushions or blankets during operation.
Ensure the air intake and outlet openings are not covered during operation.
The appliance is equipped with an overheating protection system.
Unplug the appliance after use. Do not disconnect the plug by pulling on the cord. Place the appliance on a heat resistant surface and allow it to cool down.
Never use the appliance if it or the power cord is visibly damaged.
Never wind the power cord around the appliance, as this can result in damage. Check the power cord and the appliance regularly for visible damage.
Our GRUNDIG Household Appliances meet applicable safety standards, thus if the appliance or power cord is damaged, it must be repaired or replaced by a service centre to avoid any dangers. Faulty or unqualified repair work may cause danger and risks to the user.
Always keep the appliance out of the reach of children.
This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.
Do not dismantle the appliance under any circumstances. No warranty claims are accepted for damage caused by improper handling.
A warm flow of air is required to achieve a perfect result. Please note that a metallised brush can become extremely hot during prolonged or intensive use. To avoid injury, please adjust the usage time of the device to the accessory being used.

OPERATION _________________________________
Settings
Your appliance has the following settings:
Temperature level/blower level E
0 : Off – 1 : Gentle air flow and moderate temperature
for gently drying and styling
2 : Strong air flow, high temperature for quick
drying and styling
Cool shot
: Interrupts heating and provides a cool air
Changing the styling attachments
1 Detach the attached styling attachment A
by pressing on the catch (on the back of the appliance) C and turning the hot air brush slightly to the right.
2 Place another styling attachment on so that
the recess and the catch C (on the back of the appliance) are in line and turn slightly to the left until it clicks.
Notes
The size of curls depends on the diameter of the styling attachment: see “Special features”.
All three thermo brushes have a roll out function.

Operation
Check if the mains voltage on the type plate (on the handle of the device) corresponds to your local mains supply.
1 Thoroughly towel dry your hair after washing. 2 Plug the power cord I into the wall socket. 3 Turn on the appliance with the switch E and
set the required temperature level/blower level.
4 If necessary, interrupt heating by pressing and
holding down D the button (Cool Shot).
5 After rolling in the hair section allow the heat
to set for few seconds.
6 Unroll your hair section by press ing the roll-out
button B. – This releases the brush and it can be rolled
out of the curled section.
Note
Cool Shot interrupts heating and provides a cool air flow. This allows you to fix your hairstyle better and more lastingly.
7 After use, switch off the appliance with E the
switch and pull the plug of the mains cable I out of the socket.
Note
Never wind the mains cable around the appliance, because this can cause damage. Please check the appliance and the cable regularly for visible damage.

INFORMATION ______________________________
Cleaning and care
1 Turn the appliance off and unplug the power
cord I from the wall socket.
2 Before cleaning, allow the appliance to cool
down. The appliance can become very hot and may take up to 30 minutes to cool down.
3 Clean the appliance only with a soft damp
cloth.
Caution
Never put the appliance or power cord in water or any other liquid. Do not use any cleaning agents.
Always allow the appliance to cool down on a heat resistant, safe and flat surface.
Note
Before using the appliance after cleaning, dry all parts carefully with a soft cloth or paper towel.
Storage
If you do not plan to use the appliance for a long period of time, please store it carefully.
Make sure that it is unplugged, has completely cooled down and is completely dry.
Do not wrap the power cord around the appliance.
Keep the appliance in a cool, dry place.
Make sure that the appliance is kept out of the reach of children.
Environmental note
This product has been made from high-quality parts and materials which can be re-used and recycled.
Therefore, do not throw the product away with normal household waste at the end of its life. Take it to a collection point for recycling electrical and
electronic devices. This is indicated by this symbol on the product, in the operating manual and on the packaging.
Please find out about collection points operated by your local authority.
