For these TV sets the Service Manual CUC 2030 F / CUC 2031 F is applicable. This Manual describes the differences and the additionally fitted modules of the TV receivers. The individual modules and the relevant part numbers are listed in the tables on page 4. Basic instructions for servicing are given in the: – Safety Instructions (Part No. 72010-800.00) – Service Manual CUC 2030 F / 2031 F (Part No. 72010-020.80)

Attention!
1. Lors du remplacement du microprocesseur NVM (IC82005), il faut vérifier si le quartz 3,58MHz NTSC est monté. Si ce quartz n'est pas monté, il faut prendre soin de commuter la ligne de dialogue "NTSC 3,6" sur "arrêt". Pour ce faire: Touche "6" –> "OK" –> SERVICE –> "OK" –> SERVICE Code "8500" –> NTSC 3,6 "arrêt" et sauvegarder par la ligne de dialogue "END" avec "with mem." (fin avec mémorisation).
2. Si aucun récepteur satellite (microSAT SNR 105) n'est branché sur la prise AV1, la ligne de dialogue "SAT" dans le menu de service doit se trouver position"arrêt". Touche "6" –> "OK" –> SERVICE –> "OK", appeler la ligne de dialogue "SAT" et sélectionner "arrêt".
Tous les éléments de réglage non décrits ont été mis au point en usine et n'ont plus à être repris en maintenance.

Après chaque réparation et avant chaque alignement contrôler et au besoin régler cette tension. Luminosité: minimum Voltmètre numérique: cathode D61016.
Relier l'analyseur de spectre ou le millivoltmètre HF symétriquement aux contacts 10, 11 du tuner. Injecter une mire normalisée ou le générateur de mire couleur via l'antenne, 70…80dBµV.
Appeler la ligne de dialogue "AGC" (CAG) via "6" (DIALOG CENTER) –> "OK" –> SERVICE –> "OK"–> Service Code "8500".
Injecter un signal 38,9MHz, env. 120mV, aux bornes 10 et 11 du tuner.
Appeler la ligne de dialogue "AFC" (CAF) via "6" (DIALOG CENTER) –> "OK" –> SERVICE –> "OK"–> Service Code "8500".
Régler R60037 ou R61313 selon le tableau sur le schéma du châssis secteur (Page 21/22).
A l'aide des touches "V -" ou "+ C" régler la tension à102dBµV (360mVcc). En variante, sans analyseur de spectre ou sans millivoltmètre HF, à l'aide des touches "V -" ou "+ C-" régler l'image jusqu'à l'apparition du souffle. Puis revenir afin d'obtenir une image à la limite du souffle.
Appeler la ligne de dialogue "End" (fin) et valider "with mem." (avec mémorisation).
Lancer le réglage avec „OK“. Le réglage interne du démodulateur PLL est executé.
Si une flêche apparaît à la fin du réglage à coté de l’inscription AFC au menu alors affiner à l’aide du filtre F33025 jusqu’à faire disparaître les flêches. Les flêches affichées à droite ou à gauche de la valeur CAF indiquent le sens de rotation du noyau du filtre. Flêche à droite: Noyau du filtre trop enfoncé. Flêche à gauche: Noyau du filtre trop sorti.
Reprener le réglage avec „OK“. Appeler la ligne de dialogue "End" (fin) et valider "with mem." (avec mémorisation).
1.4 Réglage CAF

Réglage inutile avec: TDA 8843-N2 TDA 8844-N2

En cas d'IC TDA8843-N2 ou TDA8844-N2 et de tubes Philips 72cm/84cm au format 4:3 et 70cm/82cm au format 16:9.Appeler la ligne de dialogue "Overscan" via "6" (DIA­LOG CENTER) –> "OK" –> SERVICE –> "OK"–> Service Code "8500".
Appeler la ligne de dialogue "NTSC 3,6" via "6" (DIALOG CENTER) –> "OK" –> SERVICE –> "OK"–> Service Code "8500".
- Injecter une mire de convergence
- Régler le format d’image en 16:9 (appareils 16:9).
- Contraste (W) au maximum
- Régler la luminosité (R) de sorte à ce que le fond noir de la mire commence juste à s’éclaircir.
A l'aide des touches "V -" ou "+ C" positionner le menu au milieu de l'écran.
Appeler la ligne de dialogue "End" (fin) et valider "with mem." (avec mémorisation).
A l'aide des touches "V -" ou "+ C" sélectionner la diagonale-image correcte.
Appeler la ligne de dialogue "End" (fin) et valider "with mem." (avec mémorisation).
A l'aide des touches "V -" ou "+ C " sélectionner "arrêt".
Appeler la ligne de dialogue "End" (fin) et valider "with mem." (avec mémorisation).
Selectionner arrêt ou marche selon le type d’appareil avec les touches "V -" ou "+ C".

Régler les lignes horizontales au milieu de l’écran sur la largeur verticale la plus fine possible à l’aide du pot. focus 1.
Régler ensuite les lignes verticales à 5 cm du bord gauche et du bord droit de l’écran sur la largeur horizontale la plus fine possible à l’aide du pot. focus 2.

2. Géometrie de l'image
Appareils de mesure: Générateur de mire couleur, Oscilloscope double trace avec sonde 10:1. Travaux de maintenance suite au remplacement ou à la réparation de:
- Déviation horizontale et verticale et remplacement du tube: Alignements 2.1, 2.2
- Bobine d'accord L53074: Nécessaire uniquement en cas de manipulation incorrecte dans la déviation horizontale: Alignement 2.3
- NVM IC82005: Alignement 1.2…1.8, 2.1, 2.2, 3.1, 3.3 Commencer le réglage de géométrie par l'alignement de la déviation verticale!

Appeler la ligne de dialogue "Déviation verticale" via "6" (DIALOG CENTER) –> "OK" –> SERVICE –> "OK"–> Service Code "8500" –> GEOMETRIE –> "OK".
Luminosité maximum Appeler la ligne de dialogue "Amplitude horizontale" (Largeur d'image) via "6" (DIALOG CENTER) –> "OK" –> SERVICE –> "OK" –> Service Code "8500" –> "GEOMETRIE" –> "OK" et diminuer la largeur d'image à l'aide des touches "V -" ou "+ C" . Appeler la ligne de dialogue "Déviation horizontale".
Régler la ligne médiane de la mire dans la ligne de dialogue "Déviation verticale" (typ. 30…33) à l'aide des touches "V -" ou "+ C" de façon qu'elle soit juste encore visible. Appuyer deux fois la touche "6" (GEOMETRIE –> SER­VICE), appeler la ligne de dialogue "End" (fin) et valider "with mem." (avec mémorisation). La géométrie de l'image se règle à chaque mise en marche sur la dernière valeur mémorisée.
A l'aide des touches "V -" ou "+ C" centrer l'image sur la grille. Reprendre le réglage de la largeur d'image (Amplitude horizontale) suivant la mire de contrôle . A l'aide de la fiche "ST-Shift" du châssis (variante), positionner la mire de contrôle au milieu de l'écran. Selon la dispersion de balayage du tube, cette fiche peut également être câblée ultérieurement, montée à l'envers ou modifiée dans sa valeur de résistance. Appuyer deux fois la touche "6" (GEOMETRIE –> SER­VICE), appeler la ligne de dialogue "End" (fin) et valider "with mem." (avec mémorisation). La géométrie de l'image se règle à chaque mise en marche sur la dernière valeur mémorisée.

2.3 Bobine d'accord L53074
La bobine d'accord L53074 a été réglée en usine et ne nécessite plus de retouche.
Contrôler les largeurs d'impulsion identiques des
oscillogrammes et au besoin ajuster avec la bobine L53074. Appeler la ligne de dialogue "Amplitude horizontale" via "6" (DIALOG CENTER) –> "OK" –> SERVICE –> "OK" –>
Régler la largeur d'image suivant la mire de contrôle. Service Code "8500" –> "GEOMETRIE" –> "OK" . Régler l'amplitude horizontale (Largeur d'image) au minimum. Oscilloscope Canal 1: Collecteur T53001. Oscilloscope Canal 2: Cathode D53072.
3. C.I. tube
Appareils de mesure: Voltmètre haute impédance, Oscilloscope double trace avec sonde 10:1. Travaux de maintenance suite au remplacement ou à la réparation de:
- Tube, C.I. tube Alignements 3.1…3.3
- NVM IC82005: Alignements 1.2…1.8, 2.1, 2.2, 3.1, 3.3

3.1 Balance du blanc
Injecter une échelle des gris (noir/blanc) avec Burst. Contraste (W) maximum. Saturation couleur (E) moyenne. Luminosité (R) moyenne. Appeler la ligne de dialogue "WHITE ADJUSTMENT" (Balance du blanc) via "6" (DIALOG CENTER) –> "OK" –> SERVICE –> "OK" –> Service Code "8500".
A l'aide des touches "V -" ou "+ C" régler les valeurs du "Green (Vert)" ou du "Blue (Bleu)" de façon à obtenir une image-test sans dominante de couleur.
Contrôler la balance du blanc avec contraste minimum at maximum.
Appeler la ligne de dialogue "End" (fin) et valider "with mem." (avec mémorisation).

Appareil en mode AV. Injecter un signal de modulation noir. Luminosité de l'écran: zone des gris juste sombre. Voltmètre relié via 220k aux points de réglage R, V et B. Déterminer la tension maximum. Voltmètre (220k) ou oscilloscope: relié au point de réglage ayant la tension maximum.
Appeler la ligne dialogue "Cut-off align" via "6" (DIALOG CENTER) –> "OK" –> SERVICE –> "OK" –> Service Code "8500" . Confirmer par "OK"
A l'aide de l'ajustable UG2 régler la tension de grille sur le C.I. tube à 162,5V±2,5V au voltmètre. Ou avec l'oscílloscope suivant le croquis ci-dessous.
A l'aide l'ajustable U C.I. tube (ou bloc de focalisation) le premier trait
régler juste bien visiblement sur le

apparaissant en rouge, vert, bleu ou composite. Retourner dans le menu par "OK" .

Note:
The CUC 20xx chassis are either fitted with TDA 8843/8375 or TDA 8843-N2/8844-N2. Type TDA 8843-N2/8844-N2 has a PLL demodulator integrated in it so that the AFC adjustment in the Service Menu is not necessary.
Attention!
1. After any repair or replacement of NVM (IC82005) check whether the NTSC 3.58MHz quartz is fitted. If it is not, the dialog line "NTSC 3,6" in the Service Menu must be set to "off". Button "6" –> "OK" –> "SERVICE" –> "OK" –> Service Code "8500" –> NTSC 3,6 "off" and in dialog line "End" store the setting "with mem.".
2.When no SAT Receiver (SNR 105 microSAT) is connected to the AV1 socket, SAT in the Service Menu is to be set to "off". Button "6" –> "OK" –> "SERVICE" –> "OK", select dialog line "SAT" and switch to "off".
All adjustment controls not mentioned in this description are pre-set at the factory and must not be re-adjusted in the case of repairs.

Measuring instruments: Dual-channel oscilloscope, 10:1 test probe, digital voltmeter, colour video generator, spectrum analyser or RF millivoltmeter Service works after replacement or repair of the following modules:

This voltage must be checked and re-adjusted if necessary after every repair and before every alignment. Brightness: Minimum Digital voltmeter: Cathode D61016
Spectrum analyser or RF millivoltmeter symmetrical to tuner contact 10, 11. Feed in a standard test pattern or generator via the aerial, 70…80dBµV.
Call up the dialog line "AGC" via "6" (DIALOG CENTER) –> "OK" –> SERVICE –> "OK" –> Service Code "8500".
Feed in a generator test pattern with vision carrier 38.9MHz, ca. 120mV to tuner contact 10, 11.
Call up the dialog line "AFC" via "6" (DIALOG CENTER) –> "OK" –> SERVICE –> "OK" –> Service Code "8500".
Feed in a standard test pattern with standardized channel spacing, band 1 (channel 2…4) without finetuning.
Call up the dialog line "AFC" via "6" (DIALOG CENTER) –> "OK" –> SERVICE –> "OK" –> Service Code "8500".
Adjust R60037 or R61313 acc. to the table (page 21/22) on the power supply circuit diagram.
Adjust 102dBµV (360mVpp) with button "V -" or "+ C". Alternatively, without using a spectrum analyser or RF
millivoltmeter, adjust the picture with button "V -" or "+ C" so that noise just appears on the screen. Then reset until the picture is again free of noise.
Dialog line "End", terminate "with mem". Activate the setting with "OK".
Internal adjustment of the PLL demodulator is carried out. If an arrow is displayed beside the text after adjustment, re-adjust the AFC with demodulator filter F33025 until the arrows disappear. The arrow on the left or right of the AFC value in the menu indicates the sense of rotation for adjusting the filter. Arrow on the right, core of the filter turned in too far. Arrow on the left, core of the filter turned out too far.
Repeat this adjustment with "OK". Dialog line "End", terminate "with mem.".
Activate the setting with "OK". Internal adjustment of the PLL demodulator is carried out. If an arrow is displayed beside the text after adjustment, re-adjust the AFC with demodulator filter F33025 until the arrows disappear. The arrow on the left or right of the AFC value in the menu indicates the sense of rotation for adjusting the filter. Arrow on the right, core of the filter turned in too far. Arrow on the left, core of the filter turned out too far.

Start with the vertical slope when adjusting the geometry!

Adjust the center line of the test pattern in the dialog line "Vertical Slope" (typ. 30…33) with button "V -" or "+ C" so that it is just still visible. Press button "6" twice (GEOMETRY –> SERVICE) and terminate the dialog line "End" with "with mem.". The picture geometry is adjusted to the value last stored whenever the TV set is switched on.
Position the picture content in the middle of the raster using button "V -" or "+ C". Re-adjust the horizontal width according to the test pattern. With connector "ST-Shift" on the chassis (option), position the test pattern in the middle of the screen. Dependent on the scanning spread of the picture tube this connector may be retrofitted, connected the other way round, or the rating of the resistor may be changed. Press button "6" twice (GEOMETRY –> SERVICE) and terminate the dialog line "End" with "with mem.". The picture geometry is adjusted to the value last stored whenever the TV set is switched on.
Check the oscillograms for the same pulse width and re­adjust it if necessary with coil L53074.
Adjust the horizontal width according to the test pattern.

Feed in a grey scale black/white test pattern with burst. Contrast (W) to maximum. Colour contrast (E) to mid-position. Screen brightness (R) to mid-position. Call up dialog line "WHITE ADJUSTMENT" via "6" (DIALOG CENTER) –> "OK" –> SERVICE –> "OK" –> Service Code "8500".
With button "V -" or "+ C" set the values for "Green" or "Blue" so that the picture becomes achromatic.
Check the white balance at minimum contrast and maximum contrast. Terminate the dialog line "End" with "with mem.".
