Anschluss / connections
Die GZCS 165VW Lautsprecher können direkt an der vorhandenen Originalverkabelung und mit der
Leistung des originalen oder eines nachgerüsteten Steuergerätes (Radio) betrieben werden. Um das
beste Ergebnis zu erzielen, empfiehlt sich der Einsatz eines zusätzlichen Verstärkers mit höherer Leistung.
Es sollte dabei beachtet werden, dass die Impedanz des GZCS 165VW bei 3 Ohm/Kanal liegt.
The GZCS 165VW speakers can be connected directly to the original wiring and be used with the original
or aftermarket head unit. For best performance however, it’s recommended to install a separate amplifier
with higher power output. Please note that the impedance of the GZCS 165VW is 3 ohms per channel.
Hochtonpegel-Anpassung / tweeter level adjustment
Aufgrund unterschiedlicher Einbaupositionen des Hochtöners, kann dessen Pegel angepasst werden, um
ein ausgewogenes Klangbild zu erzielen. Hierfür kann die Kabelbrücke and der Hochtonfrequenzweiche
getrennt werden, um den Pegel des Hochtöners um 3 dB abzusenken.
Due to the variety of mounting positions for the tweeter, it might be necessary to adjust the tweeter level
to achieve a balanced audio reproduction. In this case, cutting the cable loop at the crossover decreases
the tweeter level around 3 dB.

Die GZCS 165VW Lautsprecher können bei den genannten Modellen* in die werksseitig vorhandenen
Einbauöffnungen installiert werden. Nach der Demontage der Türverkleidungen und Hochtonverkleidungen im Spiegeldreieck oder an der A-Säule, können die Lautsprecher entsprechend montiert
werden. Bitte beachten Sie, dass die originalen Lautsprecher in vielen Fällen genietet und nicht
geschraubt sind. Die Nieten müssen daher durch Aufbohren mittels passendem Bohrer entfernt werden.
The GZCS 165VW speakers can be installed in the mentioned cars* at the original speaker positions.
After the removal of the door and tweeter panels at the mirror triangle or the a-pillar, the speakers can be
mounted accordingly. Please note, that the midwoofers are riveted to the car´s body in most cases
instead of being fastened using screws. These rivets have to be removed using a suitable drill tool.

Installation / installation
Step 1: Positioning of the spacer and fastening using the included metric bolts and nuts
Step 2: Positioning of the midwoofer with the sealing ring and fastening using the included screws (4.2x19mm
Step 3: Plug in the OEM harness
Step 4: Removing the OEM tweeter using a milling cutter (e.g. Dremel)
Step 5: Fastening of the tweeter using a suitable glue (e.g. hotmelt glue) and plug in the OEM harness
Um das beste Ergebnis zu erzielen und Nebengeräusche zu vermeiden, ist es empfehlenswert, Türen und
Verkleidungen zu dämmen.
For best performance and to avoid any disturbing noises, it´s recommended to insulate the doors and panels.
