Installation Instructions

2002+ Subaru WRX/STi/LGT/FXT

GrimmSpeed Exhaust Manifold Installation Instructions

Park your vehicle on a level surface. Fully engage your parking brake and
put wheel stops on the front and rear wheels to keep the vehicle from
rolling.

All GrimmSpeed exhaust components are intended for Off-Road use only.

1. Remove plastic splash guard (3) 10mm bolts and 4 plastic clips.

2. Remove small plastic access panel in fender wheel. This will give

you access to o2 sensor.

3. Remove o2 sensor from passenger side exhaust collector with o2

sensor socket.

4. Remove passenger side exhaust collector heat shield (4) 12mm

bolts.

5. Remove driver side exhaust collector heat shield (2) 12mm bolts.

6. Remove (2) 14mm bolts that connect passenger side exhaust

collector to up pipe.

7. Remove (2) 14mm bolts that connect passenger side exhaust

collector to crosspipe.

8. Remove (2) 14mm bolts that connect driver side exhaust manifold

collector to crosspipe. Drop crosspipe.

9. Remove (3) 14mm nuts that connect passenger side exhaust

collector to engine head. Drop passenger side exhaust collector.

10. Remove (3) 14mm nuts that connect driver side exhaust collector

to engine head. Drop driver side exhaust collector.

11. Loosely install GrimmSpeed passenger side collector. Do NOT

tighten down (3) 14mm bolts. Remember gaskets.

12. Loosely install GrimmSpeed driver side collector. Do NOT tighten

down (3) 14mm bolts. Remember gaskets.

13. Install GrimmSpeed Crosspipe. Torque (4) 14mm nuts/bolts from

crosspipe to exhaust manifold collectors. Remember gaskets.

14. Torque (6) 14mm nuts that hold exhaust manifold collectors to

engine heads.

15. Reinstall heatshields.

16. Reinstall o2 sensor.

17. Reinstall plastic splash guard.

18. Reinstall access panel in fender well.

NOTE: Tighten down crosspipe to exhaust manifold collector bolts first.
