WARNING
This mower is capable of amputating hands and feet and throwing objects. Failure to
observe the following safety instructions could result in serious injury or death.

When using electric lawn mowers, basic safety precautions should always be followed to
reduce the risk of re, electric shock, and personal injury, including the following:
1. GENERAL OPERA TION
• Avoid Dangerous Environment – Don’t use lawn mowers in damp or wet locations
• Don’t Use In Rain
• Keep Children Away – All visitors should be kept a safe distance from work area.
• Dress properly. Do not wear loose clot hing or jewelr y that ca n get caught in m oving par ts.
The wearing of protective gloves and safety footwear is recommended.
• Use Safety Glasses – Always use face or dust mask if operation is dusty.
• Use Righ t Appli ance – Do no t use lawn m ower for a ny job excep t that fo r which it i s intended.

• Don’t Overreach – Keep proper footing and balance at all times
• Stay Ale r t – Do n ot op er at e th e mow er wh en you a re t ire d. Pay at tent ion to w hat you a re
doing. Use common sense.

• Follow instructions for lubricating and changing accessories.
• Inspe ct lawn mower c ord period ically and if d amaged, ha ve it repaired by a n authorized service facility.
• Keep handles dry, clean, and free from oil and grease.
• Keep safety devices (guards, shields, switches etc.) in place and working.
• Keep blades sharp.
• Keep hands and feet away from cutting area.

lawn should always be carefully examined and cleared of all objects prior to each mowing.

• If lawn mower strikes a foreign object, follow these steps:
i) Stop lawn mower. Release the switch. ii) Remove battery. iii) Inspect for damage. iv) Repair any damage before restarting and operating the lawn mower.
• Use identical replacement blades only.
• Do not charge lawn mower in rain, or in wet locations.
• Remove or disconnect battery before servicing, cleaning, or removing material from the lawn mower.
• Use only with Greenworks Elite batteries: L-300, L600
• Use only with Greenworks Elite Chargers: C-220, C-400
Do not dispose of the battery in a re. The cell m ay explode. Che ck with lo cal cod es for
possible special disposal instructions.
• Do not op en or mutil ate the b atter y. Released electrolyte is corrosive and may cause damage to the eyes or skin. It may be toxic if swallowed.
• Exerci se care i n handlin g batt eries i n order n ot to shor t the ba tter y wit h conduc ting mater ial s such a s rin gs, b rac ele ts, a nd keys. T he bat ter y or co nduct or may overh eat and
cause burns.
• Read, understand, and follow all instructions on the machine and in the manual(s) before starting.
• Only all ow respo nsible a dults wh o are fam iliar wi th the in struc tions t o operat e this machine.
• Clear th e ar ea of o bje ct s suc h as ro cks , wir e, toy s, et c., w hic h cou ld b e thr own by t he blade. Stay behind the handle when the engine (motor) is running.

the area.
• Do not op erate ma chine b arefoo ted or wh ile wear ing sand als. Always wear substantial footwear.
• Do not pul l machine b ackwa rd unless a bsolut ely nece ssary. Al ways look down an d behind before and while moving backward
• Never direct discharged material toward anyone. Avoid discharging material against a wall or obstr uc ti on. M ate ri al may r ic o ch et bac k tow ard t he o per ato r. Stop the bl ade w he n cr os sin g gravel surfaces.
• Do not op er a te m a ch in e w it h ou t t h e en t ir e g ra s s c at c he r, disc ha r g e gu a rd , r ea r gu a rd , or other safety protective devices in place and working.
• Never leave a running machine unattended.
• Stop th e mo to r a nd w ai t un t il t h e bl a d e co m es t o a c om p le t e st op b e fo r e re mov in g t he grass catcher or unclogging the chute.
Operate machine only in daylight or good ar ticial light.

Do not operate machine while under the inuence of alcohol or drugs.
• Never operate mower in wet grass. Always be sure of your footing; walk, never run.
• Disengage the drive system, if so equipped, before starting the motor.
• If the ma chine sho uld sta rt to vib rate ab norma lly, stop the mo tor and ch eck for t he cause immediately. Vibration is generally a warning of trouble.
• Always wear eye protection when operating machine.
• See manufacturer’s instructions for proper operation and installation of accessories.
Only use accessories approved by the manufacturer.
2. SLOPE OPERATION
• Slope s are a m ajor f act or re lat ed to sl ip and f all a ccid ent s, wh ich c an res ult in s evere injury. O peratio n on all slop es requires ex tra caut ion. If you fee l uneasy on a slo pe, do not
mow it.
• Mow acro ss the fac e of slopes; n ever up and down . Exercise extreme caution when changing direction on slopes.
• Watch for holes, ruts, bumps, rocks, or other hidden objects. Uneven terrain could cause a slip and fall accident. Tall grass can hide obstacles.
• Do not mow on w et gras s or excessi vely ste ep slope s. Poor foot ing could c ause a slip and fall accident.
3. CHILDREN
Tragic accid ents ca n occur if th e operat or is not ale rt to th e presenc e of childr en.
Children ar e often att racted to the mac hine and the mowi ng activit y. Never assume that children will remain where you last saw them.
• Keep children out of the mowing area and under the watchful care of a responsible adult.
• Stay ale rt , and turn t he mower o ff if a ch ild or any ot her per son ente rs the mow ing area.
• Never allow children to operate the machine.
• Use ext reme c are wh en app roac hing bl ind cor ner s, doo rw ays, shr ubs, t rees , or oth er objects that may obscure your view of a child who may run into the path of the mower.
4. SERVICE
• Keep all nu ts , bol ts, a nd sc rews t ig ht in o rde r to be s ure t hat t he eq uip men t is in s afe working condition.
• Never rem ove or tampe r with saf ety devi ces. Check their proper operation regularly.
Never do anyt hing to inter fere wit h the intend ed funct ion of a safet y device or to r educe th e protection provided by a safety device.
• Keep mac hine fr ee of gr ass , leaves , or oth er de bri s build u p. All ow machin e to coo l before storing.
• Afte r striki ng a foreig n objec t, stop th e motor. Thoro ughly inspec t the mower for any damage. Repair any damage before operating the mower.
• Never make any adjustments or repairs with the motor running.

• Always remove battery pack from mowers before adjusting, cleaning, or repairing.
• Check grass catcher components and t he discharge guard frequently and repl ace wit h manufacturer’s recommended parts, when necessary.

• Maintain or replace safety and instruction labels, as necessary.

Using this product will expose you to a chemical known to the State of California to cause cancer. Using this product will expose you to a chemical known to the State of California to cause birth defects or other reproductive harm. Some dust created by power sanding, sawing, grinding, drilling, and other construction activities contains chemicals known to cause cancer, birth defects or other reproductive harm. Some examples of these chemicals are:
• Lead from lead-based paints
• Crystalline silica from bricks and cement and other masonry products, and
• Arsenic and chromium from chemically treated lumber.
Your risk of exposure to these chemicals varies depending on how often you do this type of work. To reduce your exposure to these chemicals, work in a well-ventilated area, and work
with approved safety equipment, such as dust masks that are specially designed to lter out
microscopic particles.

Pay attention that bystanders are not injured through foreign objects thrown from the mower.

UNPACKING
• Carefully r emove the prod uct and any acc essori es from the b ox. Make sure that al l items listed in the packing list are included.
• Inspect the product carefully to make sure no breakage or damage occurred during shipping.
• Do not disc ard the packin g material unti l you have carefully i nspected and o perated the product.
• If any parts are damaged or missing, please call (1-833-493-5483) for assistance.
