Installation & Operating Instructions
For LED Half Wall Lantern - 3 sided

Thank you for purchasing a quality KingShield LED Half Wall Lantern. Please read these
instructions fully prior to initial use.
Every effort has been made to ensure that the guidance information on this sheet will enable
the installation of the Lantern to be carried out safely and correctly.
IMPORTANT
This product should be installed by a competent person and
in accordance with the current IEE Wiring Regulations.
If in doubt, consult a qualified electrician.
SAFETY INFORMATION
Always switch off mains supply before servicing and fitting.
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
1. Disconnect the mains supply before installation.
2. Remove the 2 screws from the front cover of the product and remove the front cover and
diffuser.
3. Hold the back cover up to the wall in the desired fixing position, mark hole positions.
This fitting should not be fitted to wet or damp surfaces such as freshly plastered or
painted walls.
4. Drill holes on the points marked on the wall in step 3, use an ΓΈ8mm drill bit and insert
rawl plugs prior to screwing into position.
5. Cut hole in rubber grommet in back cover and feed mains cable through.
6. Connect the live and neutral cables to the 3-way terminal block and then relocate the
connector onto the back cover.
These are double insulated units and must not be earthed. Earth wires from the house wiring
should be connected together using the spare earth terminal provided. This is to ensure Earth
continuity throughout your property.
7. Secure the back cover in the desired position using the holes drilled in step 4, screws
supplied.
8. Locate the diffuser and front cover of the fitting onto the back cover that was secured to
the wall in step 7, then re-secure using the screws that were removed in step 2.
Installation is now complete. Replace the circuit fuse and switch on at the mains to test.
