General Information

These instructions explain how to install the CPH Stud
Repair Kit. The CPH Stud Repair Kit is designed to re­place broken studs on the pull hitch axle frame.These
instructions apply to:

Assembly Instructions

NOTE: If only one stud is broken, complete steps 1 - 8.
If both studs are broken, discard front slide block bac k
plate and complete steps 4 -8.

Before You Start

Page 3 is a detailed listing of parts included in the
CPH Stud Repair Kit. Use this list to inventory
parts received.

T ools Required

• Basic Hand Tools

• Welder

1. Unscrew nut hex (3) securing e xisting front slide
block back plate (2) and front slide b lock (4) to pull
hitch axle frame. Keep n ut hex (3) for reuse.

2. Remove and discard front slide bloc k back plate
(2).

3. Repeat steps 1 and 2 on pull hitch axle frame on
opposite side of hitch.

Refer to Figure 2

4. Weld CPH fix tubes on each side of pull
hitch axle frame plate.

5. Repeat step 4 on pull hitch axle frame
on opposite side of hitch.

6. Replace front slide block back plate with
CPH fix bar (1).

7. Secure bar (1) to front slide block (2) with
bolt and nut hex.

NOTE: If only one stud is broken, either replace
only broken stud with a 5/8" x 3" bolt and nut
hex lock provided in kit or replace both studs
with a 5/8" x 3" bolt and nut hex from kit. If both
studs are broken, replace both with a 5/8" x 3"
bolt and nut hex from kit.

8. Insert 5/8" x 6" bolt (4) through CPH fix
tube (5) and secure to CPH fix bar (1) with
nut hex (6).

9. Repeat steps 6 and 7 on pull hitch axle
frame on opposite side of hitch.
