Thank you very much for purchasing the Graupner Kingpad mc-edition. This is extremely versatile. This manual is valid for all the modu-
les listed on the cover sheet.
Read this manual carefully to achieve the best results with your King-
pad mc-edition and first of all to safely control your models. If you
experience any trouble during operation, take the instructions to
help or ask your dealer or

Intended use
The Kingpad mc-edition regulates and controls the lighting and spe-
cial functions in a vehicle model over only 1 channel of the transmitter.
The Kingpad mc-edition is designed exclusively to be used in bat-
tery-powered, radio controlled models, any other use is not allowed.
For any improper use no guarantee or liability is assumed.
Read through this entire manual before you attempt to install or use
the Kingpad mc-edition.
Graupner constantly works on the development of all products; we
reserve the right to change the item, its technology and equipment.
Target group
The item is not a toy. It is not suitable for children under 14. The installation and operation of the Kingpad mc-edition must be performed by experienced modellers. If you do not have sufficient
knowledge about dealing with radio-controlled models, please contact an experienced modeller or a model club.

capable to use safely the transmitter must not use the transmitter without supervision or instruction by a responsible person.
Operation and use of radio-controlled models needs to be learnt!
If you have never driven such a model, then start extra carefully
and make sure to be familiar with the reactions of the model to
the remote control commands. Proceed always responsibly. This
also means that you have for your own protection liability
insurance.
Protect all equipment from dust, dirt, moisture. All equipment
must be protected from vibration as well as excessive heat or
cold. The models may only be operated remotely in normal outside temperatures such as from -10°C to +55°C.

Disposal notes
If this symbol is on the product, instructions for use or packaging, it

turned over to a recycling collection point for electric and electronic

The product does not need any maintenance, it works so as it is
without any special care. In your own interest please protect the
model from dust, dirty and humidity!
Warranty certificate
The Graupner, Henriettenstrassee 96, 73230 Kirchheim/Teck grants
from the date of purchase of this product for a period of 24 months.
The warranty applies only to the material or operational defects
already existing when you purchased the item. Damage due to
misuse, wear, overloading, incorrect accessories or improper handling are excluded from the guarantee. The legal rights and claims are
not affected by this guarantee. Please check exactly defects before a
claim or send the product, because we have to ask you to pay shipping costs if the item is free from defects.

Installation / Connection
Procedure: For the use the Adapter No.3974.3 or No.3974.4 must
be switched between the pads.

First, remove the built-in switches and the aluminium trim board.
In this case proceed carefully and cautiously with a heat gun.
With the mc-28 4d, the two blind plugs on the front sides can be
replaced with switches of your choice. There are enough free
slots available in the transmitter.

Now the cables and plugs are led through the hole of the former
Ctl 6 switch.
Now remove the protective foil and place the pad in the recess

of the transmitter. Please push gently and carefully!
Bundle the cables of the Kingpad with the existing switch cables
in the transmitter.
Both Kinkpads are plugged to the ZH/XH connectors. This can be
fixed centrally by means of an adhesive pad. The adapter is plug-

Setting the Kingpad
A co-ordination between the Graupner / Kingpad mc Edition and
the Kingpad Central Module must take place so that the perfect
function is guaranteed. Proceed as follows:
Make sure there is a connection between the remote control
and the receiver.
Kingpad assignation in the transmitter:
In the transmitter call up the menu "Control setting" and assign the
Kingpad like a normal switch to the desired channel. On the model
side, this selected control channel must be connected by means of
the enclosed patch cable from the receiver output to the "Kingpad"
input on the Kingbus Central Module. Driving and steering channel
must continue to remain connected to the central module as well!
Press the white Prog button on the KBCM for more than 2 seconds
until the yellow LED flashes in a second rhythm
Push the upper left button (sidelights) on the light module. As
confirmation for a detected key, the Prog-LED on the KBCM goes
off and remains off when pressed!
Release the button. The Prog-LED flashes again and the next key
can be read.
Now press the individual buttons of the light module one after
the other; followed by the buttons of the switch module. Always
starting from top left to right and then bottom left to right!
After the 24th key (F3) the Kingbus Central Module automati-
cally exits the programming mode and returns to normal mode.
The Kingpads are now set and they can be used
