All of Grandstream’s IP surveillance products offer industry-leading SIP / VoIP technology that allow s
two-way communication w ith c amer as and encoders. You can register a Grandstr eam IP
surveillance product as a SIP extension and “call” the unit using an IP video or mult imedia phone.

But SIP / VoIP technology is n’t just an easy way to establis h two-way audio and video between
Grandstream’s cameras and mult imedia SIP phones. The real value of SIP / VoIP technology is that
it essentially eliminates the learni ng curv e for providers, r eseller s, and integr ator s. If you already
know how to provision and install SIP telephony pr oducts , y ou’ll k now how to integrate our G XV
Series surveillance products. You can also achieve easy video recording through Asterisk®.

You can look for this functionality in Axis, Cisco, Panasonic, and Sony pr oduc ts, but you won’t f ind i t.

IP VIDEO ENCODERS

IP video encoders are like analog telephone adapters for standard analog video surveillance
cameras, converting the analog signal and preparing it for IP transmi s s ion. If you have invested in
analog cameras and don’t want to replace them, IP video encoders are a cost-effective option that
allows you take advantage of IP without sac r ificing any of the functionalit y your analog c amer as
already provide.

Grandstream offers two models of IP video encoder. The GXV3501
is a single channel encoder supporting f ull D 1 resolution.

The GXV3504 is a four channel encoder that supports either four
ports CIF resolution at full rate, or two ports D 1 r es olut ion and 2
ports CIF.

Both models offer full PTZ control (subject to the capabi lities of your
analog camera), integrated Pow er over Ethernet, v ideo watermar ks ,
and a 24MB alarm buffer with event trigger for email / FTP
notification.

The GXV3500 features H.264 real-time video c ompres sion for
analog video as well as IP video dec oding with excellent image
clarity. It offers industry leading SIP/VoIP for 2-way audio, video
streaming to mobile phones and v ideo phones, integrate d PoE, a
large pre-/post-event r ecording buffer, and advanced security
protection.

Its integration of comprehensive peripherals incl uding microphone
input, alarm control and TV/audio output allow s the devic e to also
function as a powerful and flexible voice/video public announcem ent
system using microphones, IP phones, or IP video phones.
