Dieses Gerät entspricht den vorgeschriebenen
Sicherheitsbestimmungen. Ein unsachgemäßer
Gebrauch kann jedoch zu Personen- und
Sachschäden führen.
Beachten Sie für einen sicheren Umgang mit dem
Gerät die folgenden Sicherheitshinweise:
• Kontrollieren Sie das Gerät vor der Verwendung
auf äußere sichtbare Schäden am Gehäuse, dem
Anschlusskabel und -stecker. Nehmen Sie ein
beschädigtes Gerät nicht in Betrieb.
• Reparaturen am Gerät z. B. eine beschädigte
Zuleitung auszutauschen, dürfen nur von
einem Fachmann oder vom Graef-Kundendienst
ausgeführt werden. Durch unsachgemäße
Reparaturen können erhebliche Gefahren für
den Benutzer entstehen. Zudem erlischt der
Garantieanspruch.
• Defekte Bauteile dürfen nur gegen Original-
Ersatzteile ausgetauscht werden. Nur bei
diesen Teilen ist gewährleistet, dass sie die
Sicherheitsanforderungen erfüllen werden.
• Dieses Gerät kann von Kindern ab 8 Jahren und
darüber benutzt werden sowie von Personen
mit reduzierten physischen, sensorischen oder

Frequenz) auf dem Typenschild mit denen

Gerät auftreten.
• Benutzen Sie das Gerät nicht, wenn das
Stromkabel oder der Stecker beschädigt ist.
• Lassen Sie vor der Weiterbenutzung des
Gerätes eine neue Anschlussleitung durch den
Graef-Kundendienst oder einer autorisierten
Fachkraft installieren.
• Öffnen Sie auf keinen Fall das Gehäuse
des Gerätes. Werden spannungsführende
Anschlüsse berührt und der elektrische und
mechanische Aufbau verändert, besteht
Stromschlaggefahr.
• Niemals unter Spannung stehende Teile
berühren. Diese können einen elektrischen
Schlag verursachen oder sogar zum Tode
führen.
• Tragen Sie das Gerät nicht am
Anschlusskabel.
• Niemals das Gerät während des Betriebes
transportieren.
• Fassen Sie den Stecker nicht mit feuchten
Händen an.
• Verpackungsmaterialien dürfen nicht zum
Spielen verwendet werden. Es besteht
Erstickungsgefahr.
• Beachten Sie die Hinweise zu den Anforderungen
an den Aufstellort sowie zum elektrischen
Anschluss des Gerätes um Personen- und
Sachschäden zu vermeiden.
• Fassen Sie während des Betriebes niemals
mit den Händen die Backächen an.
Diese werden im Gebrauch sehr heiß.

• Die berührbaren Oberächen werden im
Betrieb sehr heiß. Verbrennungsgefahr!
• Schalten Sie das Gerät vor dem Reinigen aus
indem Sie den Netzstecker aus der Steckdose
ziehen.
• Lassen Sie das Gerät vor jeder Reinigung
abkühlen.
• Benutzen Sie keine aggressiven oder
scheuernden Reinigungsmittel und keine

Lösungsmittel.
• Kratzen Sie hartnäckige Verschmutzungen
nicht mit harten Gegenständen ab.
• Achten Sie darauf, dass keine Flüssigkeit in
das Geräteinnere gelangt.
• Geben Sie das Gerät nicht in die
Spülmaschine und halten Sie dieses auch
nicht unter ießendes Wasser.
Auspacken
• Zum Auspacken des Gerätes gehen Sie wie
folgt vor:
• Entnehmen Sie das Gerät aus dem Karton.
• Entfernen Sie alle Verpackungsteile.
• Entfernen Sie eventuelle Aufkleber am Gerät
(nicht das Typenschild entfernen).
Anforderungen an den Aufstellort
Für einen sicheren und fehlerfreien Betrieb
des Gerätes muss der Aufstellort folgende
Voraussetzungen erfüllen:
• Das Gerät muss auf einer festen,
achen, waagerechten, rutschfesten und
hitzebeständigen Unterlage mit einer
ausreichenden Tragkraft aufgestellt werden.
• Wählen Sie den Aufstellort so, dass Kinder
nicht an heiße Oberächen des Gerätes
gelangen können.
• Das Gerät ist nicht für den Einbau in einer
Wand oder einem Einbauschrank vorgesehen.
• Stellen Sie das Gerät nicht in einer heißen,
nassen oder feuchten Umgebung auf.
• Die Steckdose muss leicht zugänglich sein,
so dass das Stromkabel notfalls leicht
abgezogen werden kann.
Vor dem Erstgebrauch
• Reinigen Sie das Gerät wie unter „Reinigung“
beschrieben.
• Fetten Sie das Gerät vor dem
ersten Backvorgang mit Butter oder
hitzebeständigem Öl ein.
• Heizen Sie das Gerät auf und füllen
anschließend Backteig ein.
• Aus hygienischen Gründen, entsorgen Sie die
ersten 2 Eiserhörnchen.
Eiserhörnchen backen
• Stecken Sie den Stecker in die Steckdose.
• Stellen Sie den gewünschten Bräunungsgrad

ein. (Empfehlung / Voreinstellung: Stufe 3)
• Heizen Sie das Gerät auf. Backlight leuchtet
rot.
• Ein Signalton ertönt, das Backlight leuchtet
blau. Gerät ist aufgeheizt.
• Füllen Sie mit einer Schöpfkelle Teig in die
untere Backform.
• Schließen Sie das Gerät mit leichtem
Druck auf den Griff, damit sich der Teig
gut verteilen kann. Eiserhörnchen backt.
Backlight leuchtet rot.
Hinweis: Quillt der Teig an den Seiten heraus,
füllen Sie beim nächsten Backvorgang weniger
Teig ein.
• Ein Signalton ertönt, das Backlight leuchtet
blau. Eiserhörnchen ist fertig gebacken.
• Entnehmen Sie das Eiserhörnchen direkt nach
Beendigung des Backvorgangs.
• Rollen Sie das Eiserhörnchen direkt nach der
Entnahme zu einem Hörnchen / einer Tüte.
• Füllen Sie erneut Teig ein und verfahren Sie
wie oben beschrieben.
• Nach Beendigung des letzten Backvorgangs,
ziehen Sie den Stecker und lassen Sie das
Gerät im geöffneten Zustand abkühlen.
Tipp: In einer gut verschlossenen Blechdose
bleiben die Eiserhörnchen lange knusprig.
Reinigung
Lassen Sie das Gerät vor der Reinigung gut
abkühlen.
Das Gerätegehäuse nur mit einem
angefeuchteten Tuch abwischen.
Kundendienst
Sollte es vorkommen, dass Ihr Graef-Gerät
einen Schaden hat, wenden Sie sich bitte
an Ihren Fachhändler oder an den GraefKundendienst.

Safety
This unit complies with the statutory safety
regulations. Improper use can, however, lead
to personal injury and property damage.
To handle the unit safely, follow the
instructions below:
• Check the unit for external, visible damage
to the housing, the supply cord and the plug
before using it. Do not put a damaged unit
into operation.
• Repairs are only allowed to be performed by
a specialist or by the Graef customer service
department. Improper repairs can lead to
extreme hazards for the user. Furthermore,
the warranty claim expires.
• Only Graef customer service is authorised to
repair the unit during the warranty period,
otherwise the warranty expires for additional
damages.
• Defective components must be replaced
solely with genuine spare parts. Fullment of
the safety regulations is only guaranteed if
these parts are used.
• This appliance can be used by children
aged from 8 years and above and persons

with reduced physical, sensory or mental
capabilities or lack of experience and
knowledge if they have been given
supervision or instruction concerning use of
the appliance in a safe way and understand
the hazards involved. Children shall not
play with the appliance. Cleaning and user
maintenance shall not be made by children
unless they are older than 8 and supervised.
• Keep the appliance and its cord out of the
reach of children less than 8 years.
• The unit is not intended to be used with
an external timer or a separate telecontrol
system.
• This unit is intended to be used in household
and similar applications such as: staff
kitchen areas in shops, ofces and other
working environments; farm houses; by
clients in hotels, motels and other residental
type environments; bed and breakfast type
environments.
• If the supply cord is damaged, it must be
replaced by the manufacturer, its service or
similarly qualied persons in order to avoid a
hazard.
• Always pull the supply cord from the electric
socket using the connector plug, not the
supply cord.
• Do not carry the unit by the supply cord.
• Never transport the unit during operation.
• Do not touch the plug with moist hands.
• Do not use the packing material as a toy.
Danger of suffocation.
• Follow the instructions regarding the
requirements for the place of installation and
on the unit’s electrical connection to prevent
personal harm and property damage.
• Switch off the appliance and disconnect
from supply before changing accessories or
approaching parts that move in use.
• Let the unit cool off before cleaning.
• Do not use any aggressive or abrasive
cleaning agents and do not use any solvents.
• Do not scratch off stubborn soiling with hard
objects.
• Make sure that no liquid gets into the interior
of the unit.
• Do not put the unit in the dishwasher and do
not hold it under owing water.
Unpacking
To unpack the unit, proceed as below:
• Take the unit out of the carton.
• Remove all pieces of the packing.
• Remove any possibly extant labels on the
unit (do not remove the rating plate).
Requirements for the installation location
For safe and awless operation of the unit,
the place of location must meet these
prerequisites:
• The unit must be set up on a rm, at, level,
non-slip and heat resistant base that has
sufcient load bearing capacity.
• Select the place of location so that children
cannot reach the hot surfaces of the unit.
• The unit is not intended for installation in a
wall or a built-in cupboard.
• Do not set up the unit in a hot, wet or moist
environment.
• The electric socket must be easily accessible
so that the power cord can be easily
unplugged.

Before the rst use
• Clean the unit as described in “Cleaning”.
• Heat up the unit and afterwards ll in fresh
dough.
• Because of hygienic reasons, dispose the rst
2 crispy cones.
Operation
• Put the plug into the plug socket.
• Turn the control panel to the desired degree
of brownness. (Suggestion / Presetting:
Setting 3)
• Heat up the unit. Baking light glows red.
• You will hear a beep when unit is heated up.
Baking light glows blue.
• Fill in the dough in the lower plate.
• Close the unit. Crispy cone is baking. Baking
light glows red.
• After baking process you hear a beep and
baking light glows blue. Crispy cone is ready.
• Remove the crispy cone after the baking
process and roll it to a cone.
• Pour fresh dough into the crispy cone maker
and continue as above.
• After use, remove the plug from the wall
socket and allow the opened unit to cool
down.
Cleaning
Before cleaning, let the appliance cool down.
Clean the outside of the unit with a soft,
moistened damp cloth only.
Customer service department
If your Graef unit becomes damaged, please
contact your dealer or the Graef customer
service department.
Recipes
Granny Grete’s ice-cream cone without eggs
500 g our, 375 g sugar, 2 packs vanilla sugar,
500 ml cream, 500 ml mineral water, cinnamon
or rum according to taste.
Mix all the ingredients together well. The
dough should slide off the spoon easily. Then
place the dough in the preheated crispy cone
maker.
Granny Lotte’s ice-cream cone
250 g our, 65 g butter, 250 g sugar, 2 eggs,

375 ml water, 2 packs vanilla sugar, cinnamon
or rum according to taste.
Mix all the ingredients together well. The
dough should slide off the spoon easily. Then
place the dough in the preheated crispy cone
maker.
Granny Frida’s rock sugar ice-cream cone
500 g our, 3 eggs, 250 g rock sugar, 250 g
butter, 3 tbsp sugar,
Dissolve the rock sugar in 1/2 litre boiling
water and allow to cool. Beat the butter until
creamy, add the eggs and sugar. Then mix in
the our and sugar water alternating.
Place the dough in the crispy cone maker a
tablespoon at a time, bake it until it is golden
brown and roll it immediately into a cone.
Aunt Fiene’s ice-cream cone
250 g sugar, 200 g butter, 2 eggs, 1 pinch salt,
cinnamon, 250 our
Bring the sugar to the boil in 1/4 litre water,
remove from the heat and let the butter melt
in the solution. When the mass has cooled
down, add the our, eggs and spices. The
dough should be a thick liquid.
Aunt Annette’s ice-cream cone
500 g our, 375 g sugar, 200 g butter, 1 egg, 1
pinch of baking powder,
Choose between vanilla, cinnamon or rum and
add for avour.
Bring the sugar to a boil in 1/2 litre water,
remove from the heat and let the butter melt
in the solution. When the mass has cooled
down, add the our, eggs, baking powder and
spices.

Disposal
This product may not be disposed of in the
household waste at the end of its lifecycle;
it must be taken to a collection point for
recycling of electronic household waste. The
symbol on the product and in the operating
instructions indicate this. The materials are
recyclable in accordance with their labelling.

an important contribution to protecting our
environment. Please ask your local authority
about where to nd the appropriate disposal
site.
2-year guarantee
For this product we assume a 24-month
manufacturer guarantee from the date of sale
for defects due to manufacturing or material
faults. Your statutory guarantee rights pursuant
to Section 439 ff. of the German Civil Code
(BGB-E) remain unaffected by this provision.
The guarantee does not cover damages which
have arisen as a result of improper treatment
or usage or defects which only slightly impair
the function or value of the appliance.
Furthermore, damage in transit is excluded
from the guarantee unless we are responsible.
Damages arising from a repair not carried
out by us or one of our representatives are
excluded from the guarantee. In the case of
justied claims, we will repair the defective
product or exchange it for an undamaged
product at our discretion.

Cet appareil est conforme aux normes de
sécurité en vigueur. Un usage non conforme
peut cependant engendrer des dommages
corporels et matériels.
Pour une utilisation sûre de l’appareil,
respecter les consignes de sécurité suivantes :
• Avant l’utilisation, contrôlez l’appareil pour
détecter les dommages matériels extérieurs
visibles sur le boîtier, le câble et la che
d’alimentation. N’allumez pas un appareil
endommagé.
• Seul un professionnel ou le service après-
vente Graef peut effectuer des réparations
sur l‘appareil, p. ex. le remplacement d‘un
câble d‘alimentation endommagé. Des
réparations non conformes peuvent présenter
des dangers importants pour l’utilisateur. De
plus, la garantie perd toute validité.
• Les pièces défectueuses ne peuvent être
remplacées que par des pièces originales.
Seules ces pièces garantissent une
conformité aux normes de sécurité.
• Cet appareil peut être utilisé par des enfants

ne le maintenez pas sous l‘eau du robinet.
Déballage
• Procédez comme suit pour déballer l’appareil
:
• Sortez l’appareil du carton.
• Enlevez tous les éléments de l’emballage.
• Retirez les éventuelles étiquettes de
l’appareil (n’enlevez pas la plaque
d’identication).
Conditions de rangement
Pour un fonctionnement sûr et able de
l’appareil, il doit être entreposé dans les
conditions suivantes :
• L’appareil doit être posé sur un support
stable, plat, horizontal, antidérapant
et présentant une capacité de charge
sufsante.
• Choisissez l’endroit de telle façon que les
enfants ne puissent pas accéder aux surfaces
chaudes de l‘appareil.
• L‘appareil n‘est pas destiné à être encastré
dans un mur ou dans un placard.
• N‘entreposez pas l‘appareil dans un
environnement chaud, mouillé ou humide.
• La prise secteur doit être facile d‘accès, de
façon à ce que le câble d‘alimentation puisse
être débranché facilement en cas d‘urgence.
Avant la première utilisation
• Nettoyez l‘appareil en suivant les
instructions de la section « Entretien ».
• Préchauffez l‘appareil et versez ensuite la
pâte à cuire.
• Pour des raisons d‘hygiène, jetez les 2-3
premiers cornets.
Cuisson des cônes
• Branchez la che d‘alimentation dans la prise
secteur.
• Réglez la puissance de cuisson souhaitée.
(Recommandation / Pré-réglage Niveau 3)
• Préchauffez l‘appareil. Le voyant de cuisson
est rouge.
• Un signal sonore retentit, le voyant de

cuisson devient bleu. L‘appareil est
préchauffé.
• Versez avec une louche la pâte dans la
plaque de cuisson inférieure.
• Fermez l‘appareil. Le cornet cuit. Le voyant
de cuisson est rouge.
• Un signal sonore retentit, le voyant de
cuisson devient bleu. La cuisson du cornet
est terminée.
• Retirez le cornet directement après la n du
processus de cuisson.
• Formez un cornet / cône en enroulant la
gaufre directement après l‘avoir retirée.
• Versez à nouveau de la pâte et procédez
comme décrit ci-dessus.
• A la n de la dernière cuisson, débranchez
la che d‘alimentation et laissez l‘appareil
ouvert pour qu‘il refroidisse.
Suggestion : Dans une boîte en fer blanc, les
cornets restent croustillants plus longtemps.
Entretien
Laissez bien refroidir l‘appareil avant
l‘entretien.
Nettoyez le boîtier de l‘appareil uniquement
avec un chiffon humidié.
Service après-vente
Au cas où votre appareil Graef aurait un
défaut, adressez-vous à votre spécialiste ou au
service après-vente Graef.
Recettes :
Les cornets sans œufs de Mamie Grete
500 g de farine, 375 g de sucre, 2 sachets de
sucre vanillé, 500 ml de crème liquide, 500 ml
d‘eau minérale, cannelle ou rhum au choix.
Bien mélanger tous les ingrédients. La pâte
doit être liquide. Versez ensuite la pâte dans
le gaufrier à cornet de glace préchauffé.
Les cornets de Mamie Lotte
250 g de farine, 65 g de beurre, 250 g de
sucre, 2 oeufs, 375 ml d‘eau, 2 sachets de
