Remove your e xisting Scart lead from your
TV/VCR. Connect th e supplied Scar t-Scart with
audio Phono breakout leads b etween the
TV/Video, ensuring that Scart plug with t he audio
phono breakout leads are con nected to the TV.
Thus each time TV fun ction button is s elected on
the unit, the sound of t he TV/VCR or DVD will be
heard through the system accordi ng to what is

Power source
This appliance should only be pluged into a 230V AC, 50Hz supply.
Safety considerations
Position the power supply lead and other leads so that they are not likely to be wallked
on or pinched by things placed on or against them.
Do not use the appliance in humid or damp conditions. Do not allow the appliance to
get wet, ie. Dripping or splashing, as this may be dangerous. Do not place water filled
objects, such as vases, on top of the appliance.
Make sure that no naked flame sources, such as candles, are placed on top of the

Plastic bags can be dangerous. To avoid danger of suffocation keep this bag away
from babies and children.
Cleaning
Unplug the appliance before cleaning it.
Do not use liquid or aerosol cleaners.
Clean the appliance with a soft, damp(not wet) cloth.
Ventilation
The slots and openings on the appliance are for ventilation. Do not cover or block
them as it could lead to overheating.
NEVER let children push anything into the holes or slots on the case.

4. CONNECTING TO POWER

This appliance may be fitted with a non-rewirable plug. If you need to change the
fuse in a non- rewirable plug, the fuse cover must be refitted, If the fuse cover is lost
or damaged, the plug must not be used until a replacement is obtained (
available from the appliance manufacturer). It is important that the colour of the
replacement fuse cover matches the colour marking on the base of the plug.
If the plug has to be changed because it is not suitable for your socket, or
becomes damaged, it should be cut off and an appropriate plug fitted following
the wiring instructions. The plug removed must be disposed of safely as insertion
into a mains socket is likely to cause an electrical hazard. For your own safety read
the following instructions carefully before attempting to connect this unit to the
mains.
You should only plug the appliance into a 230V AC, 50Hz supply. Connecting it to
other power sources may damage the appliance.
The wires in this mains lead are coloured in accordance with the following code:
BLUE = NEUTRAL
BROWN = LIVE
IMPORTANT
The colours of the wires in the mains lead of this appliance may not correspond with
the coloured markings identifying the terminals in your plug, proceed as follows:
The blue wire must be connected to the terminal
marked with the letter N or coloured black.
The brown wire must be connected to the
terminal marked with the letter L or coloured red.
No connection should be made to the earth
terminal.
If a 13 Amp (Bs1363) plug is used, a 3 Amp fuse must be fitted, or if any other type of
plug is used a 3 Amp fuse must be fitted, either in the plug, adaptor, or on the
distribution board.

5. PREPARATION FOR USE

CAUTION:
Ensure the system is not plugged into an AC mains outlet while
connecting the speakers.
1. Connect the right speaker to the rear panel of left speaker "SPEAKER OUTPUT"
2. Connect other audio components to the "DVD L INPUT" and " DVD R INPUT", " TV L INPUT"
and " TV R INPUT " , " AUX L INPUT" and " AUX R INPUT", " VCR L INPUT" and " VCR R INPUT"
SOCKETS.

If the ma in unit f ail s to powe r up an d no ligh ts show on the
front p anel. C hec k the fol low ing bef ore returning the u nit
for rep air / rep lac ement :
1. Make sure t hat the power swi tch on the bac k pan el is
switc hed on.
2. Chec k / replace the 3A fu se in the main s plu g.
3. Chec k the 3 A fuse on back pa nel.

6. OPERATION

After connecting the right s peaker to the main unit(the le ft speaker), connect the mai ns plug into
the household mains outlet s ocket then switch the power on u sing the ON/OFF switch located on
the rear of the left speaker.
POWER O N/O FF
Ensur e the m ain power sw itc h on the rear of the un it is s et to on. Press the S TAND BY bu tton on the front p anel or STANDBY key
on remo te co ntrol to switch t he unit ON/OFF. Whe n the u nit is in standby O FF will show in the d isp lay.
VOLUM E
Rotat e the v olume control o n front panel or us e the V OL +/- keys on the re mote to adjust th e vol ume level.
BASS
On fron t pan el: press the FUN C key repeatedl y unt il the display sh ows BASS then rot ate t he volume contr ol to select the re qui red
bass le vel .
On remo te: p ress BASS +/- to se lect the requir ed ba ss level.
TREBL E
On fron t pan el: press the FUN C key repeatedl y unt il the display sh ows TREBLE then r ota te the volume con trol to select th e
requi red t reble leve l.

Selec t the T UNER input usin g one of the above me tho ds.
BAND MO DE SE LECTION
Press B AND k ey on front panel o r on remote to sele ct th e required band , AM or FM.
AUTO STATI ON STORE
Press t he AU TO ke y on remote for mor e tha n 2 seconds. The di splay will show A UTO and th e selected band i s sca nned for
recei vab le station s. Th e maximum numbe r of st ations stored f or each band is 20.
MANUA L TUN ING
Press T UN+ o r TUN- keys on fron t panel or remote t o man ually change th e frequency. To automati cal ly search to the ne xt station
press t he TU N+ or TUN- keys for m ore than 2 second s.
SELEC T STATION BY NUMB ER KE Y
1-10t h sta tion: press 1-1 0 number key on rem ote t o go to 1-10th stat ion directly.
11-20th statio n: press 10+ & othe r num ber key to go to 11-20th st ati on.
For exa mpl e : To select 15th stat ion, press 10+ ke y fir st, then press 5 ke y, 15t h sta tion is selecte d.

Befor e sea rching for a stat ion, first choo se th e memory preset t o store the stati on in to.
Press T UN+ o r TUN- to search fo r the required st ati on(see MANUAL T UNING above). T hen p ress the MEMORY key on t he re mote
contr ol to s tore the statio n.
For exa mpl e: To store station F M 97.50 MHz into pr ese t number 8
1. Sele ct th e FM band using the B AND button.
2. Pres s the n umber 8 key.
3. Use th e MAN UAL TUNING meth od to locate 97.5 0 MHz .
4. Pres s MEM ORY k ey on the remote co ntr ol.
