1 Beschreibung und Funktion:

Erweitern Sie Ihr Home Entertainment System mit der AVS 43 HDMI® Umschalter Serie
Die AVS 43 HDMI® Umschalter bieten Ihnen die Möglichkeit, maximal 5 Quellgeräte mit
einem LCD/Plasma Fernseher oder einem Beamer zu verbinden.

Quellgeräte: z.B, Receiver, DVD-Player, Blue Ray-Player, PC usw.

Ausgabegeräte: z.B. LCD/Plasma Fernseher oder Beamer

2 Bestimmungsgemäßer Gebrauch:

Ihre AVS 43 ist für Audio-/Videoanwendungen vorgesehen. Ein anderer als

im Kapitel „Beschreibung und Funktion“ beschriebener Gebrauch ist nicht
gestattet. Die Verwendung darf nur in trockenen Innenräumen erfolgen. Das
Nichtbeachten und Nichteinhalten dieser Bestimmungen und der Sicherheitshinweise

kann zu schweren Unfällen und Schäden an Personen und Sachen führen.

3 Sicherheitshinweise:

ACHTUNG! Die Montage und Demontage des Produktgehäuses darf nur durch
ausgebildetes Elektro-Fachpersonal erfolgen! Es besteht u. a. Stromschlagge-
fahr!

• Ihr Produkt ist kein Spielzeug und gehört nicht in Kinderhände, weil zerbrechliche, kleine
und verschluckbare Teile enthalten sind, die bei unsachgemäßem Gebrauch Personen
schädigen können!

• Bitte installieren Sie das Produkt und die daran befestigten Geräte so, dass keine
Personen oder Sachen z.B. durch Herabstürzen oder Stolpern verletzt oder beschädigt
werden können.

• Lassen Sie Verpackungsmaterial nicht einfach liegen, da sich spielende Kinder daran
schneiden können. Weiterhin besteht die Gefahr des Verschluckens und Einatmens von
Kleinteilen und Dämmmaterial.

• Wir empfehlen die Montage nur von qualizierten Technikern ausführen zu lassen.

• Ziehen Sie bei Nichtgebrauch und Gewitter das Netzkabel aus der Steckdose.

• Setzen Sie das Gerät keinen hohen Temperaturen oder Feuchtigkeit aus, bzw. Stellen,
die mit Wasser in Berührung kommen können. Stellen Sie keine Gegenstände auf das

Gerät.

• Installieren Sie das Produkt nicht in der Nähe von Klimaanlagenöffnungen oder an
Stellen, an denen es übermäßig viel Staub oder Rauch gibt, sowie an Stellen, an denen
es Erschütterungen oder Schwingungen ausgesetzt ist.

• Modizieren und ändern Sie den Artikel und dessen Zubehörteile nicht! Beachten Sie
dazu auch das Kapitel „Gewährleistung und Haftung“

• Verwenden Sie keine beschädigten Teile.

• Stecken Sie keine Gegenstände, wie z.B. Metallteile und unpassende Kabel in Lüftungs
schlitze oder Ports. Es besteht Stromschlag- und Kurzschlussgefahr!

• Halten Sie um die Ausgabe-, sowie Audio-/Videogeräte und um das gesamte System
ausreichend Freiraum um eine gute Belüftung und Freigängigkeit aller Geräte zu
gewährleisten und Beschädigungen zu vermeiden.

• Achten Sie beim Transport auf die im Kapitel „technische Daten“ gelisteten Angaben und
treffen Sie geeignete Transportmaßnahmen, z.B. in der Originalverpackung.

• Bei Fragen, Defekten, mechanischen Beschädigungen, Störungen und anderen nicht
durch diese Anleitung behebbaren Funktionsproblemen, wenden Sie sich an Ihren
Händ ler zur Reparatur oder zum Austausch wie in Kapitel „Gewährleistung und Haftung“

beschrieben.

5.2 Fernbedienung:

6 Vorbereitung:

- Um das Audioausgabeformat einzustellen, lesen Sie bitte die Bedienungsanleitung des
Quellgerätes.

- Wir empfehlen, dass die angeschlossenen Ausgabegeräte und die Quellgeräte mög-
lichst die gleiche hohe Auösung, Farbtiefe und das gleiche Audioformat unterstützen.

7 Anschluss, Inbetriebnahme und Bedienung:

1. Schließen Sie das Ausgabegerät,

wie z.B. ein TV Gerät an den
Ausgang (OUTPUT) der

Umschaltbox an.

2. Schließen Sie die Quellgeräte, wie z.B. einen DVD Player an die Eingänge (INPUT) der

Umschaltbox an.

3. Wählen Sie eines davon manuell (MANUAL SELECT) oder per Fernbedienung als
Signalquelle aus.

Wenn Sie ein weiteres Gerät einschalten, erkennt die AVS 43 dies und schaltet automa­ tisch auf den dieses Quellgerät um. Wenn Sie einen Kanal ausgewählt haben, leuchtet
die dazugehörige LED. Z.B.: Sie wählen Kanal 1 – dann leuchtet die LED L1.

ACHTUNG! Es besteht Stromschlag- und Kurzschlussgefahr!

• Ziehen Sie vor der Reinigung den Netzstecker! Reinigen Sie Ihr Produkt mit einem
trockenen oder bei starker Verschmutzung mit einem leicht angefeuchteten Leinentuch.
Achten Sie hierbei unbedingt auf die stromführenden Leitungen Ihres Gerätes!

• Achten Sie bei der Kabelverlegung darauf, dass keine Stolpergefahr entsteht.

• Halten Sie um das gesamte System ausreichend Freiraum, um eine ausreichende
Belüftung zu gewährleisten.

• Vermeiden Sie Stellen mit hohen Temperaturen, Feuchtigkeit, bzw. Stellen, die nass
werden können, auch bei Pege, Wartung, Lagerung und Transport.

• Bohrungen für Wandbefestigungen bleiben an der Wand sichtbar, wenn das Gerät
entfernt wird. Nach längerem Gebrauch kann ein Fleck an der Wand zurückbleiben.

• Achten Sie beim Transport auf die Sicherheitszeichen auf der Verpackung.

9 Problembehebung:

Kein Bild - Stellen Sie sicher, dass die Verbindung von Quellgerät zur AVS

43 und zum TV über HDMI®-Kabel sicher hergestellt ist.

- Prüfen Sie, ob alle Geräte eingeschaltet und mit dem Netz­ stecker verbunden sind.

- Prüfen Sie alle Verbinder und Kabel auf Beschädigungen.

Bild ohne Ton - Achten Sie auf eine schlüssige Kabelverbindung.

- Prüfen Sie, ob Ihre Kabel nur Bilder übertragen wie DVI z.B. –
Auch bei Verwendung eines DVI zu HDMI® Adapters werden

dann nur Bilder übertragen.

1 Description and Function:

Enlarge your Home Entertainment System with the AVS 43 HDMI® switch serie. The
AVS 43 switches enables you to connect maximum 5 source devices to one LCD/Plasma
TV, screen or video projector.

Source Devices: sources like Receiver, DVD-Player, Blue Ray-Player, PCs, etc.
Output Devices: drains like monitors, video projectors, TVs, etc.

2 Intended Use:

Your AVS 43 is provided for audio-/video use only. It is not allowed to use
the device in other ways than described in chapter “Description and
Function”. Use this device only in dry interior rooms. The symbol with the
house reminds you of that. If you do not attend to these regulations and notes on safety,

it might causes fatal accidents, injuries and damages to persons and property.

3 Notes on Safety:

ATTENTION! Only skilled electricians may assemble and disassemble the
housing of the product. There is a risk of electric shock and short circuit!

• Your product is not a toy and is not meant for children, because it contains small parts
which can be swallowed and can injure when used inappropriately!

• Please install the system and devices attached to it in a way that persons cannot be
injured, or objects not be damaged for example by dropping or stumbling.

• Please remove the packing materials, because children may cut themselves on them
while playing. Furthermore, there is a risk of swallowing and inhalation of incidentals and

insulating material.

• We recommend that the installation only be performed by qualied technicians.

• Remove the mains plug from mains during thunder storms an when not in use.

• Avoid places with high temperatures, or humidity, or places which might come into

contact with water.

• Do not install the product close to openings of air conditioners, or at places with an
excessive amount of dust or smoke.

• Do not install the product at places subjected to vibration, or oscillation.

• Do not modify and alter the product and any accessories! Make sure you also read the
Chapter “Warranty and Liability”. Do not use any damaged parts.

• Do not plug things like metal parts and untting cables into ventilation slots or ports.
There is a risk of electric shock and short circuit!

• Keep enough space around all devices for a good ventlation and free motion and to
avoid damages.

• Plug and unplug all cables slowly and carefully.

• During transport, observe the details listed in the Chapter “Specications”, and imple-
ment measures suitable for transport, e.g. use the original package.

• For questions, defects, mechanical damages, malfunctions, and other functional
problems which cannot be resolved by this guide, please contact your dealer for repair or
replacement, as described in the Chapter “Warranty and Liability”.

5 Operating Elements:

5.1 Switch:

5.2 remote control:

6 Preparation:

- To set the audio output caliber, read the manual of the source device.

- We recommend making sure, that the same high resolution, color depth and audio
caliber are supported by the connected source and output devices.

7 Connection, Implementing and Operation:

1. Connect the output device (e.g. a
TV) to the output of the switch.
(OUTPUT)

2. Connect the source devices (e.g. a DVD Player) carefully to the inputs of the switch.
(INPUT)

3. Choose one of the source devices by manual selecting (MANUAL SELECT) or by using
the remote control. If you switch on only one of the connected source devices, the
AVS 43 will recognize this and switch to the right channel automatically.

After choosing a channel, the corresponding LED will illuminate.
E.g. Choosing channel 1 – It illuminates LED L1.

8 Care, Maintenance, Storage, and Transport:

ATTENTION! There is a risk of electric shock and short circuit!

• Remove the mains plug from mains! Use a dry linen cloth to clean your product, or use a
slightly moist cloth for heavy stains. Look out for live cables of your device during
cleaning!

• Attend avoiding risks of stumbling by installing the cables.

• Make sure there is sufcient space around the system to ensure proper ventilation, and

check the clearance of the system, if necessary.

• Avoid places with high temperatures, humidity, or places which can become wet, also
during care, maintenance, storage, and transport.

• Drill holes are still visible on the wall after the device and the wall installation kit is
removed. After use for a longer time period, a spot may remain on the wall.

• Follow the safety symbols on the packing during transport.

9 Troubleshooting:

are properly plugged in by HDMI® cables.

- Check if all devices are connected with a power cable and if they

are switched on.

- Check all connections and cables for damages.

- Check, if the used cables only can transmit pictures like DVI
cables. By using a DVI to HDMI® adaptor, pictures are only

transmitted, too.

- If you connect the output devices to a source device, HDCP
will lock the audio track or the complete function.

- Switch off the AVS 43. Now switch on the AVS 43 again.

- Make sure that the source devices (e.g. DVD Player) and output
devices (e.g. a TV) support a resolution of1080p.

- Also check your HDMI cables, supporting 1080p.

1 Description et fonctions:

Améliorez votre système de divertissement à la maison avec la gamme de commutateurs
AVS 43 HDMI®. Les commutateurs AVS 43 vous permettent de connecter un maximum
de 5 appareils sources à un même téléviseur LCD / Plasma, écran ou projecteur vidéo.

Appareils source: sources tels qu‘amplicateur audio-vidéo, lecteur DVD, lecteur Blue
Ray, PC, etc.
Appareils de sortie: drains comme moniteurs, projecteurs vidéo, TV, etc.

2 Utilisation prévue:

Votre AVS 43 est prévu pour une utilisation audio / vidéo seulement. Il n‘est

pas autorisé à utiliser l‘appareil d‘une façon autre que celle décrite dans le cha­pitre „Description et fonction „. Utilisez cet appareil uniquement dans les

locaux intérieurs secs. Le symbole de la maison vous rappelle cela. Si vous ne respectez
pas ces règlementations et les notes sur la sécurité, cela peut provoquer des accidents
mortels, des blessures et des dommages aux personnes et aux biens.

3 Consignes de sécurité:

ATTENTION! Seuls les professionnels formés sont utorisés à installer et démon­ ter le produit! Les autres personnes s‘exposent à des risques d‘électrocution et
de pouvoir!

• Votre produit n‘est pas un jouet et n‘a pas été conçu pour être manipulé par des enfants,
car il contient des pièces de petite taille qui risquent d‘être avalées et risquent de blesser
si elles ne sont pas utilisées de façon appropriée!

• Veuillez installer le système et les appareils xés au support de telle façon que personne
ne risque d‘être blessé ou qu‘aucun objet ne risque d‘être endommagé en cas de chute.

• Veuillez enlever les matériaux d‘emballage, car les enfants risqueraient de se couper en
jouant avec. En outre, il y a un risque d‘ingestion ou d‘inhalation de matériaux dange-

reux.

• Nous vous recommandons de coner l‘installation du produit à un technicien qualié.

• Retirez le câble d‘alimentation de la prise murale lorsque l‘appareil n‘est pas utilisé ainsi
que pendant les orages.

• Évitez d‘installer le produit dans des lieux aux températures élevées ou très humides, ou
dans un lieu où le produit risquerait d‘entrer en contact avec de l‘eau.

• Ne pas installer le produit à proximité de l‘ouverture d‘appareils de conditionnement d‘air,
ou dans des endroits avec des quantités excessives de poussière ou de fumée.

• Ne modier et n‘altérer aucun des accessoires ! Veuillez bien à lire aussi le Chapitre
«Garantie et responsabilité». Ne pas utiliser de pièces endommagées.

• N‘introduisez pas d‘objets dans les orices de ventilation. Il y a risque de chocs
électriques et de court-circuits.

• Ils ne sont pas utiliser des endommagés parties.

• Coincés qu‘ils ne sont pas objets, tels que les parties métalliques et inadaptée. Câbles
de systèmes de ventilation fentes ou ports. Il y a risque de choc et pouvoir !

• Laissez toujours sufsamment d‘espace autour des appareils de sortie, audio et vidéo
ainsi qu‘autour du système an de garantir une ventilation appropriée et de l‘espace
entre les appareils pour ne pas risquer de les dommager.

», et prenez les mesures adéquates pour le transport.

• Pour les questions, défauts, dommages mécaniques, dysfonction nements et autres
problèmes fonctionnels que vous ne parviendriez pas à résoudre avec le présent guide,
veuillez vous adresser à votre détaillant pour une réparation ou un remplacement, ainsi
que décrit dans le Chapitre « Garantie et responsabilité ».

5.2 Télécommande:

L1 à L5 : sélecteur de chaîne.

6 Préparation:

- Pour dénir le calibre de sortie audio, consultez le manuel de l‘appareil source.

- Nous vous recommandons de faire en sorte que la même résolution élevée, la même
profondeur de couleur et le même calibre audio soient pris en charge par les appareils
de source et de sortie connectés .

7 Branchement, mise en œuvre et fonctionnement:

1. Branchez l‘appareil de sortie (ex:
un téléviseur) à la sortie du
commutateur (OUTPUT).

2. Branchez les appareils sources (ex: un lecteur DVD) avec précaution aux entrées du
commutateur (INPUT).

3. Choisissez l‘un des appareils source par sélection manuelle (SÉLECTION MANUELLE)
ou en utilisant la télécommande. Si vous commutez sur un seul des appareils sources
connectés, l‘AVS 43, le reconnait et commute vers la bonne chaîne automatiquement.

Après avoir choisi une chaîne, la DEL correspondante s‘allume.
Par exemple, En choisissant la chaîne 1 - cela allume la DEL L1.

8 Entretien, maintenance, stockage et transport:

ATTENTION! Il y a des risques d‘électrocution et de pouvoir!

• Utilisez un chiffon en coton sec pour nettoyer votre produit, ou bien utilisez un chiffon
légèrement humidié pour nettoyer les taches rebelles. Lorsque vous nettoyez
l‘appareil, faites attention aux câbles électriques branchés! Débranchez-les avant de
nettoyer!

• Assister évitant les risques d‘achoppement en installant des câbles.

• Assurez-vous qu‘il y a sufsamment d‘espace autour de l‘écran pour permettre sa bonne
ventilation et, si nécessaire, vériez la distance du système.

• Évitez les endroits à fortes températures ou forte humidité, les endroits où l‘appareil
risque d‘être mouillé, que ce soit en cours d‘entretien, de maintenance, de stockage ou
de transport.

• Vériez régulièrement que toutes les xations et vis sont bien solidement ancrées,
resserrez-les lorsqu‘ells sont desserrées. Le desserrage peut être provoqué par des
mouvements fréquents.

• Respectez les symboles de sécurité sur l‘emballage pendant le transport.

9 Dépannage:

Problème Action

Pas d‘image - Assurez-vous que, toutes les connexions aux appareils sources

et aux appareils de sortie sont correctement réalisées par des
câbles HDMI®.

- Vériez si tous les appareils sont branchés via un câble
d‘alimentation et s‘ils sont sous tension.

- Assurez-vous que les connexions et les câbles ne sont pas
endommagés.

Photos sans tonalité - Faites attention aux connexions en bout de câbles.

- Vériez si les câbles utilisés peuvent transmettre des images
comme les câbles DVI. En utilisant un adaptateur DVI vers
HDMI®, les images sont seulement transmises, également.

- Si vous connectez les appareils de sortie à un appareil source,
HDCP va verrouiller la piste audio ou la fonction complète.

1 Descrizione e funzione:

Amplia il tuo sistema di intrattenimento domestico grazie allo switch della serie AVS 43
HDMI®. Gli switch AVS 43 consentono il collegamento di un massimo di 5
dispositivi sorgente ad una TV LCD/Plasma schermo o proiettore video.

Dispositivi d’origine origini come un Ricevitore, Lettore DVD, Lettore Blue Ray, PC, ecc.
Dispositivi d’uscita: uscite su monitor, proiettori video, TV, ecc.

2 Uso:

L’AVS 43 può essere usato solo per audio-/video. Uò essere usato in nessun

altro modo diverso da quello descritto nel capitolo “Descrizione e funzioni”.

Usare il dispositivo solo in ambienti interni asciutti. Il simbolo con la casa,
ricorda di usare il prodotto in interno. Se non vengono rispettate queste regole e note
sulla sicurezza, si potrebbero vericare incidenti fatali, lesioni e danni alle persone e alla
proprietà.

3 Informazioni sulla sicurezza:

ATTENZIONE! Solo professionisti addestrati sono autorizza ad eseguire
l’installazione e la rimozione del prodotto! Inoltre, vi è il rischio di folgorazioni
elettriche e cortocircuitare!

• Il prodotto non è un giocattolo e non deve essere utilizzato dai bambini poiché contiene

5.2 Telecomando:

6 Preparazione:

- Per impostare la calibrazione dell’uscita audio, leggere il manuale del dispositivo di

origine.

- Si consiglia di vericare che siano supportate la risoluzione massima, profondità audio e
calibrazione audio sia dall’origine collegata che dai dispositivi di uscita.

7 Collegamento, installazione e funzionamento:

1. Collegare il dispositivo di uscita
(p.e. una TV) all’uscita dello
switch (OUTPUT).

2. Collegare i dispositivi di origine (p.e. lettore DVD) agli ingressi dello switch (INPUT).

3. Scegliere uno dei dispositivi di origine eseguendo la selezione manuale (SELEZIONE
MANUALE) o tramite il telecomando. Se viene acceso solo uno dei dispositivi
di origine collegati, l’AVS 43 lo riconoscerà e passerà automaticamente al canale

corretto.

Una volta scelto il canale, il LED corrispondente si illumina.
P.e. scegliendo il canale 1 si illumina il LED L1.

8 Cura, manutenzione, conservazione e trasporto:

ATTENZIONE! Vi è il rischio di folgorazione elettrica e cortocircuitare!

• Usare un panno asciuto per pulire il prodotto, o usare un panno leggermente inumidito
per eventuali macchie resistenti. Fare attenzione a cavi sotto tensione del dispositivo
durante le pulizie! Togliere il cavo dalla presa di corrente prima della pulizia!

• Vericare che intorno allo schermo ci sia spazio a sufcienza per garantire una
ventilazione adeguata, e controllare la tolleranza del sistema, se necessario.

• Controllare con regolarità se tutti i bulloni e le parti ssate sono ben serrate, in caso
contrario serrarle di nuovo. Questa situazione può essere determinate da movimenti
frequenti.

• Evitare luoghi con temperature, umidità elevate, o luoghi che possono diventare umidi
anche durante la cura, manutenzione, conservazione e trasporto.

• I fori praticati nella parete sono visibili anche dopo aver tolto il dispositivo e il kit per
l’installazione a parete. In caso di uso per un lungo periodo di tempo, sulla parete
potrebbe rimanere un alone.

• Per l’imballaggio durante il trasporto fare attenzione ai simboli
della sicurezza.

9 Risoluzione dei problemi:

Nessuna immagined - Assicurarsi che tutti i collegamenti ai dispositivi di origine e al

dispositivo di uscita siano eseguiti correttamente tramite i cavi
HDMI®.

- Vericare che il cavo di alimentazione dei dispositivi sia collegato
e che i dispositivi siano accesi.

- Controllare che i collegamenti ed i cavi non siano danneggiati.

Immagine senza tono - Ricordare di collegare tutti i cavi.

- Controllare se i cavi utilizzati possono trasmettere solo immagini
come i cavi DVI. Utilizzando un adattatore da DVI a HDMI®,
vengono trasmesse solamente le immagini.

- Se si connettono i dispositivi di uscita a un dispositivo di origine,
HDCP blocca la traccia audio o il funzionamento completo.

HDCP non funziona
durante il primo

La risoluzione non
raggiunge i 1080p.

- Spegnere l’AVS 43. Quindi accendere nuovamente l’AVS 43.

- Assicurarsi che i dispositivi di origine (p.e. lettore DVD) e i
dispositivi di uscita (p.e. una TV) supportino al risoluzione 1080p.

- Controllare che anche i cavi HDMI supportino 1080p.
