HOW IT WORKS

Charging phones, batteries and other USB-powered devices
from the Nomad 7 Plus is as easy as plugging in.

1. Make sure the junction box is plugged into the Rapid Charge
Cable. If you’re charging a Guide 10 Plus, you can plug it
directly into the Rapid Charge Cable.

2. Open your Nomad 7 Plus and face the panels toward the
sun and check the Solar Intensity Indicator for current solar
conditions. For optimal charging, aim for three or four lights.

3. Plug in your phone or recharger into the junction box and
charge up.

KICKSTAND

The Nomad 7 Plus features a magnetic, detachable kickstand
allowing you to be as lightweight as you need. Leave it attached
and it pops out to an optimal angle for positioning toward the
sun. It also provides natural shade and a vented pocket for
devices you have plugged in.

AUTO RESTART

The Nomad 7 Plus features an auto restart that’s smarter than
anything else on the market. With the ability to track power
flow history, the Nomad 7 Plus knows the difference between
a device that has reached a fully charged state and one that
disconnects due to environmental causes, i.e. lack of sunlight,
shadow, solar eclipse, etc. When the latter is detected, the
Nomad 7 Plus will automatically reconnect the charging device,
no extra work on your part is needed.

JUNCTION BOX + SOLAR INTENSITY INDICATOR

The brains of the Nomad 7 Plus live in the junction box. Several
key components work together to ensure you have the best solar
charging experience, including the Solar Intensity Indicator.
These 4 LED lights are indicative of current solar conditions and
give you an idea of how well your gear will charge.

Q: Is the Nomad 7 Plus waterproof?

A: The best answer: it’s weatherproof. We’ve gone to great lengths

to ruggedize the Nomad 7 Plus; including beefing up the
manufacturing process with advanced lamination techniques
so it’ll slough off rain and snow. However, take care to keep the
Junction Box dry and if it does get wet, allow it to completely
dry before trying to charge.

Q: Does the Nomad 7 Plus have a built-in battery?

A: Nope. We made the Nomad 7 to be as modular and light-weight

as possible, that meant selling batteries as an optional
accessory. You can either plug your phone or device directly into
the Nomad 7 Plus, or pair it with one of our rechargers to store
power for later (like at night or when you go inside). May we
recommend a Goal Zero Switch, Flip, or Venture Recharger?

Q: Is this chainable with other Nomad panels?

A: Technically, yes; however, we don’t recommend it. You can plug

the Rapid Charge Cable into the chaining ports on version 2 of
the Nomad 7. That being said, the increase in output would be
incredibly minimal so you probably wouldn’t notice a significant
difference.

Q: How does the Solar Intensity Indicator work?

A: Science. We can’t give away all our secrets. But really, our

engineers developed patent-pending electronic brains for
the Nomad 7 Plus that ensures you have the best solar
charging experience possible. Part of the electronics include
an advanced current sensor (way better than a voltmeter)
and unique maximum power point tracking (MPPT) charge
controller to optimize the USB output. What you need to know
is when conditions are right, you can plug a phone into the
Nomad 7 Plus and charge it directly from the sun. You’ll know
the conditions are right by checking out the Solar Intensity
Indicator.

COMMENT ÇA MARCHE

Vous n’avez qu’à brancher au Nomad 7 Plus vos téléphones, vos

Q: Le Nomad7 Plus est-il résistant à l’eau?

R: La meilleure réponse est qu’il est résistant aux intempéries. Nous

avons fait l’impossible pour renforcer le Nomad 7 Plus; y compris

Q: Nomad 7 Plus は防水 型ですか?

WIE ES FUNKTIONIERT

Das Aufladen von Telefonen, Batterien und anderen USB-betriebenen

A.: Nein. Wir haben den Nomad 7 Plus so modular und leichtgewichtig

wie möglich gemacht, was auch den Verkauf von Batterien als
optionales Zubehör beinhaltet. Sie können Ihr Telefon oder Gerät
entweder direkt an den Nomad 7 Plus anschließen oder ihn
mit einem unserer Ladegeräte verbinden, um Energie für einen
späteren Zeitpunkt zu speichern (z.B. nachts oder wenn Sie sich

die bestmögliche Solar-Lade-Erfahrung garantiert. Ein Teil

besser als ein Voltmeter) sowie einen einzigartigen Laderegler für
das sogenannte Maximum Power Point-Tracking (MPPT), um die

CÓMO FUNCIONA

Cargar teléfonos, baterías y otros dispositivos alimentados por USB
desde el Nomad 7 Plus es tan simple como conectarlo.

1. Asegúrese de que la caja de empalmes esté conectada al cable

P: ¿Es el Nomad 7 Plus a prueba de agua?

R: La mejor respuesta: es impermeable. Hemos hecho grandes

esfuerzos para reforzar el Nomad 7 Plus; incluido el
