The Ignition is ON.
The battery voltage is greater than 11 V.
The EGR cooler bypass valve control circuit is active.
The starter is not cranking.
The DTCs run continuously when the above conditions are met.
P245A
The Ignition is OFF.
The engine is in after-run/post drive.
The battery voltage is greater than 11 V.
The EGR cooler bypass valve offset learning procedure is complete.
The EGR cooler bypass valve control circuit is active.
The starter is not cranking.
The DTC runs continuously when the above conditions are met.
OR
The Ignition is ON.
The battery voltage is greater than 11 V.
The EGR control circuit is active.
The starter is not cranking.
The DTC runs continuously when the above conditions are met.
Conditions for Setting the DTC
P1411
The ECM detects that the EGR cooler bypass valve low, close, control circuit voltage is less than a
calibrated threshold for greater than 3 s.
P1412
The ECM detects that the EGR cooler bypass valve low, close, control circuit voltage is greater than a
calibrated threshold for greater than 3 s.
P1413
The ECM detects a short circuit condition of the EGR cooler bypass valve motor control circuits for
greater than 3 s.
P1414
The ECM detects that the EGR cooler bypass valve control circuit current is greater than a calibrated
threshold for greater than 2 s.
