We engineered Canyon to absorb the bumps, handle the curves and supply
superb traction—whether it’s loaded or unloaded. A carefully chosen
mix of chassis design elements results in impressive handling capabilities.
At the business end, a semifloating rear axle features two-stage multileaf
springs, combining heavy-duty capability with excellent road manners under
a variety of loads. The independent A-arm front independent units employ
either coil springs or torsion bars depending on the model and suspension
package you choose. And every Canyon features rack-and-pinion steering
for precise steering response.
