DCT4+ Standalone Unlocker Features:

The DCT4+ Standalone Unlocker for Genie-Universal allows you to Unlock Nokia DCT4+ Generation
phones directly with Genie-Universal, without need for a PC.

Requirements:

In order to run the Standalone DCT4+ Unlocker (4plus.smx) on your Genie-Universal Device you must
have the latest OS Firmware(v.0.0.0.183r) installed.
The Firmware is provided with the DCT4+ Unlocker Windows Installer(DCT4Plus.exe) that can be
downloaded here: http://www.genieuniversal.com/downloads/DCT4Plus.exe

Installation:

Download DCT4Plus.exe from http://www.genieuniversal.com/downloads/DCT4Plus.exe and start the
Installation Process.

Be sure that you have previously connected your Genie-Universal in USB Mode to the PC:

1. Press Mode 2. Select USB Disk 3. USB Disk Mode enabled

The Setup procedure should look like this:

Click Next to continue…

Again click Next to continue…

(if you see this message, then your Genie-Universal is not connected in USB Disk Mode to the PC)

If Genie-Universal is connected properly in USB Disk Mode then your screen will look like this and you can

hit the “INSTALL” Button…

After the Setup Wizard has completed you are ready to Upgrade the Genie Firmware.

How to Update the Genie-Universal Firmware/OS

 Connect the original Genie-Universal Charger (9V) to the Genie-Universal

(PLEASE NOTE: The update will not start if there is no charger connected)

 On Genie-Universal, press right Function-Button (Mode) and select "FIRMWARE UPDATE"

Genie-Universal will show on the LCD "Updating Firmware..." and will restart after 5-7 seconds with latest
Firmware Inside.

If you get “FILE ERROR:7” when trying to update the Firmware, then don´t worry, it just means that your
Genie-Universal already have the latest Firmware/OS installed and there is no need to update it again.
All is fine and you can continue…

How to Start the DCT4+ Standalone Unlocker

Power on the Genie-Universal with Battery and/or Charger or by Mini-USB cable connected.
In the MENU, navigate to PROGRAMS/SCRIPT and RUN “4plus.smx” .

Now the DCT4+ Standalone Unlocker application will Load and Start(image5) and you should connect a
supported DCT4+ phone within 4 seconds to the Genie-Universal Device(image6) if it isn’t already
connected.

After phone is connected to Genie-Universal the phone will be detected and the Unlock Process will start
automaticly(image 5 and 6).

When you see the Status-Message “Unlocking…done” then your phone is successfully unlocked and you
can exit the Unlock Application by pressing any Key.
For unlocking the next phone, simply start again by executing the 4plus.smx” again.
