Introduction

Congratulations on purchasing a Gemini XL-20 turntable. This state of
the art turntable includes the latest features. Prior to use, we suggest
that you carefully read all the instructions.

Precautions

1. Read all operating instructions before using this equipment.

2. To reduce the risk of electrical shock, do not open the unit. There
are NO USER REPLACEABLE PARTS INSIDE. Please contact the
Gemini Service Department or your authorized dealer to speak to a
qualified service technician.

3. Tone Arm bearings are factory set and sealed. Any attempt at
adjustment will void the warranty.

4. Be sure that all AC power is OFF while making connections.

5. Cables should be low capacitance, shielded and of proper length.
Make sure that all plugs and jacks are tight and properly connected.

6. Always begin with the audio level faders/volume controls set at
minimum and the speaker volume control(s) set to OFF. Wait 8 to 10
seconds prior to turning up the speaker volume to prevent the
transient “POP” that could result in speaker/crossover damage.

7. DO NOT EXPOSE THIS UNIT TO RAIN OR MOISTURE.

8. DO NOT USE ANY SPRAY CLEANER OR LUBRICANT ON ANY
CONTROLS OR SWITCHES.

3. Keep the unit away from direct exposure to the sun, heat, moisture
or dirt.

4. Keep the unit well ventilated.

CHANGING THE STYLUS ASSEMBLY:

1. The needle is housed in a STYLUS (4) assembly that can be easily
removed and replaced. To remove the STYLUS (4), gently pull the
stylus from the tone arm.

2. To replace the STYLUS (4), gently push it onto the tone arm.

INSTALLING THE DUSTCOVER:

1. Hold the dustcover in position, directly above the turntable, and slide
the hinge bases into the holders mounted on the rear panel.

2. Always raise the dustcover before removal.

3. Avoid opening and closing the dustcover during play. Undesirable
vibration and stylus skipping can result.

CONNECTIONS:

1. Plug the AC power plug into an appropriate outlet.

2. See Table A for proper connection of the output RCA plugs. Make
sure that all the plugs are firmly plugged into the appropriate jacks.

Assembly and Set-Up

ATTACHING THE TURNTABLE BELT:

The TURNTABLE BELT (2A) comes attached to the PLATTER (1) and
the MOTOR SPINDLE (2B) but can some times detach in shipping.
Rotate the PLATTER (1) and look through the platter holes to check if
belt detached. If the belt is not wrapped tightly around the platter and
the MOTOR SPINDLE (2B), you need to reattach it.

1. First, place a screwdriver in the center of LOCKING WASHER (2C)
around the CENTER SPINDLE (2) and gently pry the washer off.

2. Remove the platter and wrap the belt around the inner circle under
the platter. DO NOT STRETCH OUT THE BELT.

3. Replace the platter and rotate the PLATTER (1) until the MOTOR

SPINDLE (2B) is visible, then fit your fingers in hole on the top of the
PLATTER (1), feel for and grab the rubber belt and attach to the

motor spindle.

4. Replace the locking washer. Put the RUBBER MAT (3) on the
PLATTER (1).

UNIT PLACEMENT:

1. Place the unit on a flat, level and vibration free surface.

2. Try to place the unit as far away from the speakers as possible.

Operating Instructions

BASIC OPERATION:

1. Place a record on the RUBBER MAT (3) which sits on the PLATTER
(1).

2.

Select the desired speed with the SPEED SELECTOR (5) button -

= 45 RPM; = 33 RPM.

3. Remove the stylus protector.

4. Release the ARM CLAMP (6) found on the ARM REST (7).

5.

Push the START/STOP (8) button . The turntable PLATTER (1)
will start to spin.

6.

Push the LIFT (9) button in to raise the TONE ARM (10) to the
“UP” position.

7.

Position the tone arm over the desired position on the record and
release the LIFT button . The TONE ARM (10) will slowly lower
onto the record at which time play will begin.

8.

When play is over, raise the TONE ARM (10), move it to the ARM
REST (7), and secure it with the ARM CLAMP (6).

9.

Stop the PLATTER (1) by releasing the START/STOP (8)
button .

INTERRUPTING PLAY:

1

. Pushing the LIFT (9) button to the “UP” position will cause the

TONE ARM (10) to lift stopping play.

2

. Releasing the LIFT (9) button will cause the TONE ARM (10)

to slowly lower onto the record at the point where play was inter­rupted.

3

. Stop the PLATTER (1) by releasing the START/STOP (8) button

, and the TONE ARM (10) will remain at the last play position

on the record.

PLAYING 45 RPM RECORDS:

1. When playing a 45 RPM record with a large center hole, first place
the 45 ADAPTOR (11) on the center spindle.

Be sure that the SPEED SELECTOR (5) button is set to the 45
position .

Wir gratulieren Ihnen zum Kauf eines Gemini XL-20 Plattenspielers.
Dieses hochentwickelte erstklassige Gerät enthält die neuesten
Leistungsmerkmale. Vor Anwendung dieses Plattenspielers bitte alle
Anweisungen sorgfältig durchlesen.

Vorsichtsmaßnahmen

1. Vor Anwendung dieses Geräts bitten alle Anweisungen sorgfältig
durchlesen.

2. Das Gerät nicht öffnen, um das Risiko elektrischen Schocks zu
mindern. Es enthält KEINE VOM ANWENDER ERSETZBAREN
TEILE. Die Wartung darf nur von authorisierten Servicetechnikern
durchgeführt werden.

3. Die Tonarmlager sind werkseingestellt und abgedichtet. Jegliche
Änderungsversuche machen die Garantie ungültig.

4. Darauf achten, da beim Anschluß die Wechseltromleistung
abgeschaltet ist.

5. Nur kapazitätsarme, abgeschirmte Kabel vorschriftsmäßiger Länge
benutzen. Darauf achten, daß alle Stecker und Buchsen fest
angeschraubt und richtig angeschlossen sind.

6. Zu Beginn müssen die Tonpegelüberblend- und Lautstärkenregler
auf Minimalpegel eingestellt sein. Vor dem Lautstellen 8 bis 10
Sekunden warten, um den durch Einschwingung erzeugten Plop­Effekt zu vermeiden, welcher zu Lautsprecher- und
Frequenzweichenschäden führen könnte.

7. Dieses Gerät nicht Regen oder Feuchtigkeit aussetzen.

8. An den Reglern oder Schaltern kein Spray-Reinigungsmittel oder
Schmiermittel benutzen.

3. Den PLATTENTELLER - PLATTER (1) aufsetzen und drehen, bis
die Motorwelle sichtbar ist, dann die Finger in das Loch am oberen
Plattentellerrand einführen und nach dem Gummiriemen tasten,
diesen ergreifen und dann auf der Motorwelle anbringen.

4. Sie Sicherungsscheibe wieder einsetzen. Den GUMMITELLER -
RUBBER MAT (3) auf den PLATTENTELLER - PLATTER (1) legen.

AUFSTELLUNG DER GERÄTS:

1. Das Gerät auf einer flachen, vibrationsfreien Fläche aufstellen.

2. Das Gerät so weit wie möglich von den Lautsprechern entfernt
aufstellen.

3. Das Gerät von direktem Sonnenlicht, Wärme, Feuchtigkeit oder
Schmutz fernhalten.

4. Das Gerät in gut belüfteter Umgebung aufstellen.

ERSETZEN DER TONABNEHMERNADEL:

1. Die Nadel befindet sich in dem TONKOPF - STYLUS (4), sie kann
leicht entfernt und ersetzt werden. Um die TONKOPF zu entfernen,
muß sie behutsam aus dem Tonarm herausgenommen werden.

2. Um die TONKOPF - STYLUS (4) wieder einzusetzen, muß sie
behutsam auf dem Tonarm geschoben werden.

EINBAU DER ABDECKHAUBE:

1. Halten Sie die Abdeckhaube direkt über dem Plattenteller in Position
und schieben sie die Scharniersockel in die Halterungen, die in der
Rückwand montiert sind.

2. Vor dem Entfernen immer die Abdeckhaube anheben.

3. Es sollte vermieden werden, die Abdeckhaube während des
Spielens zu öffnen und zu schließen. Dies könnte zu unerwünschten
Vibrationen und Nadelspringen führen.

Zusammenbau und Aufstellung

HINWEIS: SIEHE SEITE 1 FÜR TEILENUMMERN UND POSITIONEN.

WIE MAN DEN PLATTENTELLERRIEMEN
ANBRINGT:

Der RIEMEN - TURNTABLE BELT (2A) wird am unteren Ende des
PLATTENTELLER - PLATTER (1) und der MOTORWELLE - MOTOR
SPINDLE (2B) befestigt geliefert, kann sich manchmal aber beim

Versand lösen. Den PLATTENTELLER drehen und durch die Löcher im
Plattentellerchassis blicken, um nachzuprüfen, ob der Riemen
angebracht ist. Wenn der Riemen nicht fest um das Plattentellerchassis
und die MOTORWELLE - MOTOR SPINDLE (2B) angelegt ist, muß er
neu angelegt werden.

1. Zuerst einen Schraubenziehen in die Mitte der

SICHERUNGSSCHEIBE - LOCKING WASHER (2C) um die
MITTIGE SPINDEL - CENTER SPINDLE (2) setzen, und dann

behutsam die Scheibe ablösen.

2. Das Plattentellerchassis abnehmen, und den Riemen um den
inneren Ring unter das Plattentellerchassis legen. DEN RIEMEN
NICHT DEHNEN.

ANSCHLÜSSE:

1. Den Netzstecker an einer entsprechenden Netzdose anschließen.

2. Siehe Tabelle A für vorschriftsmäßige Anschlüsse der Ausgangs­RCA-Stecker. Achten Sie darauf, daß alle Stecker an den richtigen
Buchsen fest angeschlossen sind.

Bedienungsanweisungen

GRUNDBETRIEB:

1. Die Platte auf den GUMMITELLER - RUBBER MAT (3) legen, die
auf dem PLATTENTELLER - PLATTER (1) liegt.

2. Die gewünschte Drehzahl, entweder - 45 oder - 33 U/
min, mit der DREHZAHLWAHLTASTE - SPEED SELECTOR (5)
auswählen.

3. Den Nadelschutz abnehmen.

4. Die TONARM-KLEMMSCHELLE - ARM CLAMP (6) an der
TONARMAUFLAGE - ARM REST (7) lösen.

5. Die START/STOP TASTE - START/STOP (8) drücken. Der
PLATTENTELLER - PLATTER (1) fängt an, sich zu drehen.

6. Die HEBE-TASTE - LIFT (9) eindrücken, um den TONARM -
TONE ARM (10) in die “UP”-Position zu heben.

7. Den Tonarm über die gewünschte Rille auf der Platte schieben, und
die HEBE-TASTE - LIFT (9) drücken. Der TONARM - TONE
ARM (10) wird sich langsam auf die Platte senken, woraufhin die
Platte zu spielen beginnt.

8. Bei Beendigung des Spielens heben Sie den TONARM - TONE
ARM (10), schieben ihn zur TONARMAUFLAGE - ARM REST (7)
und befestigen ihn mit der TONARM-KLEMMSCHELLE - ARM
CLAMP (6).

9. Stoppen Sie den PLATTENTELLER - PLATTER (1), indem Sie die
START-STOP-TASTE - START/STOP (8) nochmals drücken.

SPIELUNTERBRECHUNG:

1. Drücken Sie die HEBE-TASTE - LIFT (9)
wodurch der TONARM - TONE ARM (10) angehoben und das
Spielen unterbrochen wird.

2. Nochmaliges Drücken der HEBE-TASTE - LIFT (9) wird den
TONARM - TONE ARM (10) langsam an der Stelle auf die Platte
setzen, an der das Spielen unterbrochen wurde.

3. Den PLATTENTELLER - PLATTER (1) stoppen, indem man die

START/STOP TASTE - START/STOP (8) drückt, und der
TONARM - TONE ARM (10) bleibt in der letzten Spielposition auf

der Platte stehen.

in die “UP”-Position,

DAS SPIELEN VON 45-U/MIN-PLATTEN:

1. Wenn Sie eine 45-U/min-Platte spielen, die ein großes Mittelloch
hat, setzen Sie zunächst den ADAPTER (11) auf die Spindel.

2. Darauf achten, daß die DREHZAHLWÄHLTASTE - SPEED
SELECTOR (5) auf 45 U/min geschaltet ist

tocadiscos de la más avanzada tecnología está dotado de
características ultramodernas. Antes de usarlo, le recomendamos leer
cuidadosamente todas las instrucciones.

Precauciones

1. Deberán leerse todas las instrucciones de operación antes de usar
el equipo.

2. Para reducir el riesgo de shock eléctrico, no abra la unidad. NO
CONTIENE PIEZAS REEMPLAZABLES POR EL USUARIO.
Sírvase comunicarse con el Departamento de Servicio Gemini o su
distribuidor autorizado y hablar con un técnico de servicio calificado.

3. Los cojinetes del brazo de fonocaptor están ajustados y sellados en
fábrica. Cualquier intento de ajuste dejará sin efecto la garantía.

4. Cerciórese de que toda la corriente AC esté APAGADA para
efectuar las conexiones.

5. Los cables deberán ser de baja capacidad, reguardados, y de
apropiado longitud. Cerciórese de que todos los enchufes y jacks
estén apretados y debidamente conectados.

6. Comience siempre con los atenuadores de nivel de audio/control de
volumen fijados en el nivel mínimo y el control de volumen de los
altavoces fijados en APAGADO. Espere 8 a 10 segundos antes de
aumentar el volumen de los altavoces para evitar el “chasquido”
transitorio que podría ocasionar daños a los altavoces/de cruce.

7. No deje esta unidad expuesta a lluvia o humedad.

8. No use ningun limpiador de rocío o lubricante en cuaquiera de los
controles o interruptores.

COLOCACIÓN DE LA UNIDAD:

1. Ponga la unidad sobre una superficie plana y nivelada libre de
vibraciones.

2. Trate de colocar la unidad lo mas alejado posible de los altavoces.

3. Mantenga la unidad alejada de la exposición directa del Sol, calor,
humedad o suciedad.

4. Mantenga la unidad bien ventilada.

CAMBIAR EL CONJUNTO DE LA AGUJA:

1. La aguja se encuentra dento del CONJUNTO DE LA AGUJA ­STYLUS (4) lo cual se puede sacar y reemplazar sin problema. Para

sacar el CONJUNTO DE LA AGUJA - STYLUS (4), tirar
cuidadosamente de la aguja del brazo de fonocaptor.

2. Para reponer el CONJUNTO DE LA AGUJA - STYLUS (4),
cuidadosamente empújelo en el brazo.

INSTALACIÓN DE LA TAPA CONTRA
POLVOS:

1. Sostenga la tapa contra polvos en posición directamente arriba del
tocadisco y deslice las bases de las bisagras en los portabisagras
montados en el panel posterior.

2. Siempre levante la tapa contra polvos antes de quitarla.

3. Evite abrir y cerrar la tapa contra polvos cuando el tocadisco está en
funcionamiento, ya que podría ocurrir vibración indeseable y saltos
de la aguja.

CONEXIONES:

1. Conecte el enchufe AC en un tomacorriente apropiado.

2. Véase el Cuadro A para las conexiones apropiadas de los enchufes
de salida RCA. Cerciórese de que todos los enchufes estén
firmemente conectados en los jack apropiados.

Montaje y configuración

ASEGURAR LA CORREA DEL TOCADISCO:

La CORREA DEL TOCADISCO - TURNTABLE BELT (2A) está
asegurada al PLATO - PLATTER (1) y al EJE DEL MOTOR - MOTOR

SPINDLE (2B) pero a veces se separa durant el envío. Haga girar el
PLATO - PLATTER (1) y mire por los orificios en el plato para verificar

si la correa se ha separado. Si la correa no está bien envuelta alrededor
del plato y del EJE DEL MOTOR - MOTOR SPINDLE (2B), hace falta
asegurarla de nuevo.

1. Primero, coloque un destornillador en el centro de la ARANDELA

DE SEGURIDAD - LOCKING WASHER (2C) alrededor del EJE
CENTRAL - CENTER SPINDLE (2) y quite la arandela

cuidadosamente.

2. Quite el plato y envuelva la correa alrededor del círculo interior
debajo del plato. NO HAGA EXTENDER LA CORREA.

3. Reponga el plato y haga girar el PLATO - PLATTER (1) hasta que se
vea el eje del motor; entonces, ponga los dedos en el orificio en la
parte superior del PLATO - PLATTER (1), busque y agarre la correa
de caucho y asegúrela al eje del motor.

4. Reponga la arandela de seguridad. Ponga la ESTERA DE GOMA -
RUBBER MAT (3) sobre el PLATO - PLATTER (1).

Instrucciones de operación

OPERACIÓN BÁSICA:

1. Ponga un disco sobre la ESTERA DE GOMA - RUBBER MAT (3)
que descansa sobre el PLATO - PLATTER (1).

2. Seleccione la velocidad deseada con el BOTON SELECTOR DE
VELOCIDAD - SPEED SELECTOR (5): = 45 ; = 33

3. Quite el protector de aguja.

4. Suelte el SUJETABRAZO - ARM CLAMP (6) que se encuentra en el
DESCANSILLO - ARM REST (7).

5. Oprima el BOTON DE ARRANQUE/P ARADA -ST ART/STOP
(8) . El PLATO - PLATTER (1) del tocadisco empezará a girar.

6. Oprima el botón ARRIBA - LIFT (9) para alzar el BRAZO DE
FONOCAPTOR- TONE ARM (10) a la posición “ARRIBA” (up).

7. Posicione el brazo de fonocaptor por encima de la posición deseada
en el disco y libere el botón ARRIBA - LIFT (9) . El BRAZO DE
FONOCAPTOR - TONE ARM (10) se bajará lentamente sobre el
disco en cuyo momento empezará a reproducir.

8. Una vez la reproducción terminada, levante el BRAZO DE

FONOCAPTOR - TONE ARM (10), muévalo hacia el
DESCANSILLO - ARM REST (7) y fíjelo con el SUJETABRAZO ­ARM CLAMP (6).

9. Pare el PLATO - PLATTER (1) liberando el BOTON DE
ARRANQUE/P ARADA -ST ART/STOP (8) .

INTERRUPCIÓN DE LA REPRODUCCIÓN:

1. Oprimiendo el botón ARRIBA - LIFT (9) hacia la posición
“ARRIBA” hará que el BRAZO DE FONOCAPTOR - TONE ARM
(10) se levante y se detenga la reproducción.

2. Liberando el botón de ARRIBA - LIFT (9) hará que el BRAZO
DE FONOCAPTOR - TONE ARM (10) se baje lentamente sobre el
disco en el lugar donde se interrumpió la reproducción.

3. Pare el PLA T O (1 ) liberando el BOTÓN DE ARRANQUE/PARADA -

START/ST OP (8) y el BRAZO DE FONOCAPT OR - TONE
ARM (10) se quedará en la última posición de reproducción en el

disco.

REPRODUCCIÓN DE DISCOS DE 45 RPM:

1. Para reproducir un disco de 45 RPM con un agujero central más
grande, ponga primero el ADAPTADOR DE 45 - 45 ADAPTOR (11)
en el eje central.

2. Cerciórese de que se haya puesto el BOTÓN SELECTOR DE
VELOCIDAD - SPEED SELECTOR (5) en la posición de 45 .

Introduction

Nos félicitations à l’occasion de votre achat cette platine vinyle Gemini
XL-20. Cette platine vinyle très moderne inclut les caractéristiques
techniques les plus récentes. Avant de l’employer, lisez attentivement
toutes les instructions.

Précautions

2. Enlevez le plateau et enveloppez la courroie autour du cercle
intérieur du plateau. N’ETIREZ PAS LA COURROIE.

3. Remettez le plateau en place et faites tourner le PLATEAU -

PLATTER (1) jusqu’à ce que L’ARBRE MOTEUR - MOTOR
SPINDLE (2B) soit visible; puis, à travers les trous du plateau,

attrapez la courroie et placez la autour de l’axe moteur.

4. Remettez la rondelle de verrouillage en place. Placez le TAPIS DE

CAOUTCHOUC - RUBBER MAT (3) sur le PLATEAU - PLA TTER
(1).

1. Il est important de lire toutes les instructions de fonctionnement
avant de vous servir de cet appareil.

2. Afin de réduire le risque de chocs électriques, prière de ne pas
ouvrir l’appareil. Ce dernier ne contient pas DE PIÈCES À

4. Avant de faire les branchements, vérifiez que l’appareil n’est pas
sous tension.

5. Le câblage doit avoir une faible capacité; il doit être blindé et avoir la
bonne longueur. Tous les jacks et fiches doivent être bien serrés et
convenablement branchés.

6. Commencez toujours en ayant les commandes de réglage du niveau
acoustique/volume réglées au minimum et la (les) commande(s) du
volume des haut-parleurs sur OFF (arrêt). Attendez 8 à 10 secondes
avant d’augmenter le volume des haut-parleurs afin d’éviter le “bruit”
transitoire qui pourrait endommager les haut-parleurs.

7. Protégez cet appareil contre la pluie et l’humidité.

8. N’utilisez aucun produit de nettoyage ou lubrifiant pulvérisé sur les
commandes ou interrupteurs.

l’humidité et les saletés.

4. Assurez une bonne ventilation pour l’appareil.

CHANGER L’ENSEMBLE DE L’AIGUILLE:

1. L’aiguille est logée dans une CELLULE DE LECTURE - STYLUS (4)
facilement démontable et remplaçable. Pour enlever la CELLULE
DE LECTURE - STYLUS (4), retirez l’ensemble délicatement du
bras de lecture.

2. Pour remettre la CELLULE DE LECTURE - STYLUS (4) en place,
poussez-la doucement sur le bras de lecture.

INSTALLATION DU COUVERCLE ANTI­POUSSIERE:

1. Tenez le couvercle anti-poussière en position, directement au­dessus de la platine vinyle, et glissez les bases des articulations
dans les porte-articulations se trouvant sur le panneau arrière.

2. Soulevez toujours le couvercle anti-poussière avant de l’enlever.

3. N’ouvrez et ne fermez pas le couvercle durant le fonctionnement de
la platine vinyle. Ceci pourrait produire des vibrations indésirées et le
dérapage de l’aiguille.

ATTACHER LA COURROIE DE LA PLATINE
VINYLE:

La COURROIE DE LA PLA TINE VINYLE - TURNTABLE BELT (2A) est
généralement attachée au PLATEAU - PLATTER (1) et à L’ARBRE
MOTEUR - MOTOR SPINDLE (2B) mais parfois elle peut se détacher
durant le transport. Faites tourner le PLATEAU - PLATTER (1) et
regardez à travers les trous dans le plateau pour voir si la courroie est
détachée. Si la courroie n’est pas bien en place autour du plateau et de
l’ARBRE DU MOTEUR - MOTOR SPINDLE (2B), vous devez l’attacher
de nouveau.

1. Placez d’abord un tournevis au centre de la RONDELLE DE
VERROUILLAGE - LOCKING WASHER (2C) située autour de
l’ARBRE CENTRAL - CENTER SPINDLE (2) et enlevez la rondelle
tout doucement.

CONNEXIONS:

1. Branchez la fiche de courant à une prise adéquate.

2. Voir la Table A pour les connexions correctes des fiches RCA de
sortie. Assurez-vous que toutes les fiches sont solidement
raccordées aux fiches RCA correspondantes.

FONCTIONNEMENT DE BASE:

1. Placez un disque sur le TAPIS EN CAOUTCHOUC - RUBBER MAT
(3) se trouvant sur le PLATEAU - PLATTER (1).

2. Choisissez la vitesse désirée à l’aide du SELECTEUR DE VITESSE

- SPEED SELECTOR (5): = 45 tpm; = 33 tpm

3. Enlevez la protection de l’aiguille.

4. Libérez le SERRE-BRAS - ARM CLAMP (6) qui se trouve sur le
PORTE-BRAS - ARM REST (7).

5. Appuyez sur le BOUTON DEMARRAGE/ARRET - ST ART/ST OP
(8) . Le PLATEAU - PLATTER (1) de la platine vinyle
commencera à tourner.

6. Pressez le bouton LIFT (9) pour soulever le BRAS DE
LECTURE - TONE ARM (10) vers la position “UP” (en haut).

7. Positionnez le bras de lecture au-dessus de la position désirée et
relâchez le bouton LIFT (9) . Le BRAS DE LECTURE - TONE
ARM (10) descendra lentement et se déposera sur le disque; à ce
moment, vous entendrez l’enregistrement.

8. Une fois l’enregistrement terminé, soulevez le BRAS DE LECTURE

- TONE ARM (10), guidez-le vers le PORTE-BRAS - ARM REST (7)
et immobilisez-le à l’aide du SERRE-BRAS - ARM CLAMP (6).

9. Arrêtez le PLATEAU - PLATTER (1) en relâchant le BOUTON DE
DEMARRAGE/ARRÊT - START/ST OP (8) .

INTERRUPTION DE L’ENREGISTREMENT:

1. Lorsque vous poussez le bouton LIFT (9) (soulever) vers la
position “UP” (haut), le BRAS DE LECTURE - TONE ARM (10)
montera et la musique s’arrêtera.

2. Lorsque vous relâchez le bouton LIFT (9) , le BRAS DE
LECTURE - TONE ARM (10) descendra lentement sur le disque au
point où la musique avait été interrompue.

3. Arrêtez le PLATEAU - PLATTER (1) en relâchant le BOUTON DE

DEMARRAGE/ARRÊT - START/ST OP (8) et le BRAS DE
LECTURE - TONE ARM (10) restera à la dernière position de

l’enregistrement sur le disque.

DISQUES DE 45 T/MN:

1. Lorsque vous jouez un disque de 45 t/mn avec un grand trou au
centre, placez d’abord l’ADAPTATEUR 45 - 45 ADAPTOR (1 1) sur
l’axe central.

2. Assurez-vous que le BOUTON DU SÉLECTEUR - SPEED SELEC-
TOR (5) se trouve sur la position 45

Complimenti per l’acquisto di questo giradischi Gemini XL-20. Questo
giradischi d’avanguardia ha incorporato i componenti più recenti. Prima
dell’uso leggere attentamente queste istruzioni per poter utilizzare il
giradischi in modo corretto.

Precauzioni

1. Leggere attentamente queste istruzioni prima di usare il giradischi.

2. Per evitare scosse elettriche non aprire l’unità. INTERNAMENTE
NON CI SONO COMPONENTI SOSTITUIBILI DALL’UTENTE. Per
le riparazioni rivolgersi al Reparto assistenza della Gemini o al
rivenditore autorizzato e consultare un tecnico qualificato.

3. I cuscinetti del braccio sono montati e sigillati dalla fabbrica.
Qualsiasi tentativo di regolazione invaliderà la garanzia.

4. Non inserire la spina prima, di effettuare i collegamenti.

5. I cavi dovrebbero essere a bassa capacità, schermati e di lunghezza
adeguata. Accertarsi che tutte le spine e i jack siano ben fissati e
correttamente collegati.

6. Iniziare sempre con i controlli del livello del volume/fader impostati al
minimo e il controllo/i del volume dell’altoparlante su OFF. Attendere
8/10 secondi prima di alzare il volume dell’altoparlante per evitare
“POP” transitori che potrebbero causare un danno al crossover/
altoparlante.

7. Evitare di esporre l’unità alla pioggia o all’umidità.

8. Non usare detergenti spray o lubrificanti su qualsiasi comando e
interruttore.

4. Rimontare la rondella di sicurezza. Collocare il TAPPETINO DI

GOMMA - RUBBER MAT (3) sul PIATTO PORTADISCHI ­PLATTER (1).

INSTALLAZIONE DEL GIRADISCHI:

1. Installare l’unità su di una superficie piana e stabile esente da
vibrazioni.

2. Cercare di installare l’unità il più distante possibile dagli altoparlanti.

3. Tenere l’unità distante dalla luce solare diretta, da fonti di calore,
dall’umidità o dalla sporcizia.

4. Consentire una buona circolazione d’aria.

SOSTITUZIONE DELL’INSIEME DELLA
PUNTINA:

1. La PUNTINA - STYLUS (4) è alloggiata in un insieme facilmente
estraibile e rimontabile. Per estrarre la PUNTINA - STYLUS (4),
staccarla delicatamente dal braccio.

2. Per rimontare la PUNTINA - STYLUS (4), spingerla delicatamente
nel braccio.

INSTALLAZIONE DELLA CAPPA:

1. Tenere in posizione la cappa, direttamente sopra il giradischi e far
scivolare i perni nei sostegni installati sul retro del pannello.

2. Sollevare sempre la cappa prima di rimuoverlo.

3. Evitare di aprire e chiudere la cappa quando il giradischi è in
funzione. Questo può determinare vibrazioni e salti della puntina.

COLLEGAMENTI:

1. Collegare la spina di alimentazione ad una presa appropriata.

2. Consultare la Tavola A per i corretti collegamenti alle spine di uscita
RCA. Assicurarsi che tutte le spine siano ben inserite nei jack
appropriati.

Montaggio e regolazione

CONNESSIONE DELLA CINGHIA DEL
GIRADISCHI:

La CINGHIA DEL GIRADISCHI - TURNTABLE BELT (2A) viene fornita
attaccata al PIATT O PORTADISCHI - PLATTER (1) e all’ALBERO DEL
MOTORE - MOTOR SPINDLE (2B) ma a volte potrebbe essersi
staccata durante la spedizione. Far ruotare il PIATTO PORTADISCHI -
PLATTER (1) e controllare attraverso i fori che la cinghia non si sia
staccata. Se non è avvolta strettamente attorno al piatto e all’ALBERO
DEL MOTORE - MOTOR SPINDLE (2B), è necessario riattaccarla.

1. Prima di tutto staccare delicatamente la RONDELLA DI
SICUREZZA - LOCKING WASHER (2C) con la punta di un
cacciavite inserita al centro della rondella stessa e attorno all’ASSE
CENTRALE - CENTER SPINDLE (2).

2. Togliere il piatto portadischi e avvolgere la cintura attorno al cerchio
interno sotto il piatto stesso. NON TENDERE LA CINGHIA.

3. Rimontare e far ruotare il PIATTO PORTADISCHI - PLATTER (1)
finché l’albero del motore è visibile, poi inserire le dita nel foro sopra
il PIATTO PORTADISCHI - PLATTER (1), afferrare la cinghia di
gomma e attaccarla all’albero del motore.

Istruzioni per il funzionamento

OPERAZIONI PRINCIP ALI:

1. Mettere un disco sul TAPPETINO DI GOMMA - RUBBER MAT (3)
che poggia sul PIATTO PORTADISCO - PLATTER (1).

2. Selezionare la velocità desiderata abbassando il PULSANTE
SELETTORE DI VELOCITÀ - SPEED SELECTOR (5): = 45
giri/min; = 33 giri/min.

3. Rimuovere la protezione della cartuccia.

4. Rilasciare il FERMA-BRACCIO - ARM CLAMP (6) che si trova sul
PORTABRACCIO - ARM REST (7).

5. Spingere il PULSANTE START/STOP (8) . Il PIATTO
PORTADISCO - PLATTER (1) inizierà a girare.

6. Spingere il PULSANTE ALZABRACCIO - LIFT (9) per alzare il
BRACCIO - TONE ARM (10) alla posizione “UP”.

7. Posizionare il braccio sopra la pista desiderata e rilasciare il

PULSANTE ALZABRACCIO - LIFT (9) . Il BRACCIO - TONE
ARM (10) si abbasserà lentamente sul disco e inizierà la

riproduzione.

8. Alla fine della riproduzione, sollevare il BRACCIO - TONE ARM (10),
rimetterlo sul PORTABRACCIO - ARM REST (7) e fissarlo con il
FERMA-BRACCIO - ARM CLAMP (6).

9. Fermare il PIATTO PORTADISCHI - PLATTER (1) rilasciando il
PULSANTE START/ST OP (8) .

ARRESTO DELLA RIPRODUZIONE:

1. Spingendo la PULSANTE ALZABRACCIO - LIFT (9) su “UP” il
BRACCIO - TONE ARM (10) si alzerà e si arresterà la riproduzione.

2. Spingendo la PULSANTE ALZABRACCIO - LIFT (9) su
“DOWN” il BRACCIO - TONE ARM (10) si abbasserà lentamente sul
disco nel punto in cui la riproduzione è stata interrotta.

3. Spingendo il PULSANTE START/STOP (8) si fermerà il

PIATT O PORTADISCHI - PLATTER (1), lasciando il BRACCIO -
TONE ARM (10) sull’ultima posizione del disco in cui si trova.

RIPRODUZIONE A 45 GIRI AL MINUTO:

1. Quando si riproducono dischi a 45 giri con un foro centrale grande,
posizionare prima l’ADATTATORE 45 - 45 ADAPTOR (11) sul centro
dell’asse.

2. Assicurarsi che il PULSANTE SELETTORE DI VELOCITÀ - SPEED
SELECTOR (5) sia nella posizione 45 giri .
