FOR auiETER OPERATION
Follow steps 2 and 3 under NORMAL COOLING OR HEATING. Then position the Selector Control to Low Cool or Low Heat. This will permit cooling or heatingoperation at a lower and quieter fan speed.
EXTREME TEMPERATURE OPERATION
Remember, for highest economy and best performance, you
always use high speed for extremely hot days.
VENTILATION
With the controls set for either cooling, heating or fan operation
only, room air can be exhausted to the outside by positioning the Al R OUT control in the OPEN position. This can be helpful in removing stale air, smoke or odors from the room . . . and permits outdoor air to enter through openings normal to house con-
struction. NOTE: Cooling effectiveness is reduced when the Al R OUT CONTROL is OPEN, so it is suggested it not be left OPEN for long periods, particularly on hot, humid days.
AIR C1RCULATION
For air circulation and filtering without cooling, select either FAN Hi, or FAN LOW position on the MASTER CONTROL.

TO The grille hastwo ways of adjusting airdirection.The Vertical air
direction is adjusted by positioning the louvers up or down. The Vertical air adjustments allow you to discharge all air upward,
or, all air downward, or, all air discharged straight ahead, or,any combination between the positions mentioned. The Horizontal adjustment isdone with three tabs, The three tabs
allowsyou to dischargeall air to the right, or, all air to the left, o some air to the right and the remainder to the left, or, all air straight ahead, or, ‘any combination between the positions men” tioned. With adjustment of both the Vertical and Horizontal louvers, al can be dischargedin any desirable pattern.

TURN AIR CONDITIONEROFF AND REMOVE PLUG FROM RECEPTACLE
TO CLEAN FILTER
The filter shouId be washed at least every 30 days or asoften as
required. The inlet baffle of the front grille must be removed to gain access to the air filter. Grasp the upper portion of the inlet baffle and pull out !he inlet baffle. The nameplate showing the Model and Serial numbers can be seen at this time. To remove the foam filter from the grille frame, lift filter from the four (4)
tabs on grille frame. NOTE: Your air conditioner should not be operated without a
filter. Replacement filters can be obtained from your local Customer Care Service, Parts Department found in the Yellow Pages.
Vacuum filter on the dusty side or wash with running water. Run water from the cleaner side of the filter to drive out the
accumulated dust and lint. Shake to dry. To replace air filter, replace filter on the four (4) tabs on grille frame. Replace inlet
baffle.
CLEANING THE AIR CONDITIONER
Front grille may be wiped with a cloth dampened in a mild detergent solution. or detergent and lukewarm water, then polished with the
