Themoisturethatyourair conditionerremovesfromtheair drainstotherearofthecabinet whereit ispickedupbya fanand dispersedagainstthecondenser. Occasionally,morelikelyduring start-up,a “pinging”noisemaybe heard.Thisisnormalforashort timeinlesshumid inveryhumidareas.Thismethod ofmoistureremovalimprovesthe operationalefficiencyofyour airconditioner.
Note:Beforemovingyourair
conditionertoanotherlocation, turnit offandwait5 or 10minutes. Thiswillallowthe condensateto drainfromthecoilintothe base pan. Then,keepinga firmgripon the airconditioner,carefullyraisethe windowandtilttheairconditioner totheoutsidetodrainthewater fromthebasepan.
