Moistureremoval
Themoisturethatyourairconditioner removesfromtheair drains
to the rearof the cabinet where it
is pickedupby afananddispersed
againstthecondenser.Occasionally,morelikely duringstartup,a
“pinging”noisemaybeheard.Thisis
normalfor ashorttime inlesshumid
areasandlongerin very humid
areas.Thismethodof moisture
removalimprovesthe operational
efficiencyof yourair conditioner.
Note:Beforemovingyourairconditionerto anotherlocation,turn it
offandwait5 or 10minutes.This
will allowthe condensateto drain
fromthecoil intothebasepan.Then,
keepinga firm grip ontheairconditioner,carefully raisethewindow
andtilt the air conditionertothe
outsideto drainthewaterfromthe
basepan.
Air directiononthe indoorside is
throughthe frontgrille andoutthe
top.Air flow out the top shouldnot
beobstructedbycurtainsordrapes.
