Moistureremoval
Themoisturethatyouraircondi­tioner removesfromtheair drains to the rearof the cabinet where it
is pickedupby afananddispersed againstthecondenser.Occasion­ally,morelikely duringstartup,a “pinging”noisemaybeheard.Thisis
normalfor ashorttime inlesshumid areasandlongerin very humid areas.Thismethodof moisture
removalimprovesthe operational
efficiencyof yourair conditioner.
Note:Beforemovingyouraircondi­tionerto anotherlocation,turn it
offandwait5 or 10minutes.This will allowthe condensateto drain fromthecoil intothebasepan.Then,
keepinga firm grip ontheaircondi­tioner,carefully raisethewindow andtilt the air conditionertothe
outsideto drainthewaterfromthe
basepan.
