The moisturethatyour air conditioner removesfromthe air drains
to the rearofthe cabinetwhere it
is pickedupbyafananddispersed
againstthe condenser.Occasionally,more likely duringstati up,a
“pinging” noisemaybeheard.Thisis
normalforashorttimeinlesshumid
areasand longer invery humid
areas.Thismethodof moisture
removalimprovestheoperational
efficiencyof your airconditioner.
Note:Beforemovingyourairconditioner to another location,turn it
off andwait5 or 10minutes.This
will allowthe condensateto drain
fromthecoil intothebasepan.Then,
keepinga firm grip ontheaircondi-_
tioner,carefully raisethe window
andtilt the air conditionerto the
outsideto drainthewaterfrom the
basepan.
