The rotary control marked THERMOSTAT is the automatically
control of the indoor air. The higher the number selected the
cooler the indoor air will be.
SAVE ENERGY RANGE
The save energy range allows you to conserveenergy by selecting
a higher room temperature.
The rotary control marked VENT! LATE is the vent door control.
When in the closed position only the air inside the room can be
circulated and conditioned. When the control is in the open position someoutside air is brought into the room.
The slide switch marked ENERGY SAVER controls the fan operation. With the ENERGY SAVER in the NORM position the fan
will continuously circulate room air. In the SAVE position the fan
will automatically cycle on and off with the compressorto provide
the most economical operation.

staleair, smokeor odorsfrom the room . . . and permitsoutdoor
air to enter through openingsnormalto houseconstruction.
NOTE: Cooling effectivenessis reducedwhen the

The filter shouldbe washedat leastevery30 daysor asoften as
required.The inlet baffle of the front grille must be removedto
gainaccessto the air filter. Grasp the upper portion of the inlet
baffle and pull out the inlet baffle. The nameplateshowingthe
Model and Serial numberscan be seenat this time. To remove
the foam filter from the grille frame, lift filter from the four (4)
tabsen grilleframe.
NOTE: Your air conditioner should not be operatedwithout a
filter. Replacement filters can be obtained from your local
Customer Care Service,Parts Department found in the Yellow
Pages.
Vacuum filter on the dusty side or washwith runningwater.
Run water from the cleanerside of the filter to drive out the
accumulateddust and lint. Shake to dry. To replaceair filter,
replacefilter on the four (4) tabson grille frame. Replaceinlet
baffle,
CLEANING THE AIR CONDITIONER
Fro]~t grille may be wipped with a cloth dampenedin a mild
detergent solution.
Cabinet may be washed with mild soap
REMOVE PLUG FROM RECEPTACLE
or detergent and lukewarm water. To assurecontinued
efficiency, condensercoils (weather side of unit) should be
checkedperiodically and cleaned if cloggedwith soot or dirt
from the atmosphere.
