• This luminaire is designed for outdoor lighting
service, and should not be used in areas of limited
ventilation, or in high ambient temperatures.
• Best results will be obtained if installed and maintained
according to the following recommendations.
• Luminaire is designed to operate in typical
temperatures at 25°C and to be mounted
horizontally with LEDs facing down, as shown.
SPECIFICATIONS:
• Weight: Maximum weight <16 lbs with std 24”
mounting arm
• Dimensions: L x W x H
W/O Refractor: 10.9 in x 10.9 in x 8.4 in
(277mm x 277mm x 213mm)

UNPACKING
1
• This luminaire has been properly packed so that no
parts should have been damaged during transit.
• Inspect to confirm.
HANDLING
2
• Damage may occur if luminaire is improperly handled
outside of pack.
• Do not impact or stack luminaire after removal from
packaging.
MOUNTING

3b. INSTALLATION
Tighten nut to secure mounting arm to pole. Insert lag
bolts in outer lower holes of mounting arm. Hammer
in lag bolts to approximately 1” of head then tighten
with wrench. Insert leads in arm entering at outboard
end and exiting at end adjacent to pole plate. Create a
drip loop with leads as shown.
WARNING
Risk of injury or damage. Unit will fall if not installed
properly. Follow installation instructions.
3a. PRE-INSTALLATION
The E2SA luminaire unit pack mounts on a round wood
pole. Install the mounting arm first. Drill a clearance
hole for a 5/8-inch diameter bolt through the pole. Insert
the 10-inch bolt through pole and loosely fasten with
the 2-inch square washer and nut. Hook the arm’s
pole plate on the bolt head in the upper slot of the
arm plate. (See Figure 1)

Slipfitter clamp is factory installed for a 1 1/4 inch pipe.
If using a 2” pipe remove, invert, and refasten the
slipfitter clamp to the housing. Open fixture mounting
slipfitter clamp enough to insert mounting arm. Slide
fixture onto arm until resting on pipe stop. Lightly
tighten slipfitter bolts. Level housing front-to-back using
steps on pipe stop and right-to-left by twisting housing
on pipe. Tighten clamp bolts to 10-15 foot-pounds.
3c. PHOTOELECTRIC CONTROL
• When used, photoelectric (PE) receptacle should be
oriented so that the word “North” is directed toward
true north.
• Seat the PE control in the receptacle, Lift and rotate them
clockwise until word “North” is directed toward true north.
• Lower the PE control and receptacle to firmly seat them
into position.
• Alternatively, PE receptacle can be oriented by lifting up on
rim of the PE receptacle and rotating it until the word
“North” is directed toward true north.
• Lower PE receptacle to firmly seat it in this position.
Then install PE control.

NOTE: Make all electrical connections in accordance with
the National Electrical Code and any applicable local code
requirements including grounding.
NOTE: Verify that supply voltage is correct by comparing
it to nameplate.
CAUTION
Risk of Burn: Allow light engine/fixture to cool before handling.
• Open fixture by unlocking two latches. Keep one
latch hooked onto the housing ear to suspend the
light engine.

UL Units:
• Terminals are readily accessible on terminal board
and will accept service leads ranging in size from
AWG No. 16 through No. 6.
• Service leads (See fixture labeling for supply wire
temperature rating) should extend through mounting
bracket approximately 7 inches.
• Attach service leads to terminal board as shown on
luminaire nameplate.
• See table below for screw torques (See Table 1).
• A wiring diagram is provided on a label in luminaire.

MAINTENANCE / CLEANING
5
STORAGE
6
WARNING
Risk of electric shock. Make certain power is off before
attempting any maintenance.
• To maintain high efficiency of the glass cover and
refractor, occasional cleaning of the outer surfaces
may be needed, with frequency dependent on
local conditions.
• Use a mild soap or detergent, which is essentially
neutral pH (pH approximately 6 to 8), nonabrasive,
and which contains no chlorinated or aromatic
hydrocarbons.
• Wash thoroughly, using a soft cloth.
• Rinse with clean, cold water and wipe dry.
• Prior to installation, units should NOT be stored
outside in corrugated boxes (cardboard boxes) alone.
• Until installation, all units should be placed in a
covered dry storage area. The storage area should
not exceed -40°C (-40°F) to 50°C (122°F).
— This can be preferably in a roofed area or with a
tarp that is secured in such a way to keep water
off of the corrugated boxes (cardboard boxes).
