This dryer must be properly instafled and located in accordance with the Installation Instructions
before it is used. If you did not receive an Installation Instructions sheet, you can receive one by
visiting ge.com, or by calling 800.GE.CARES (800.432.2737).

• Connect to a properly rated, protected and sized

Phillips screwdriver putty knife
[_ Open the door and remoxe the filler plugs opposite the hinges. _,_ith the
door completely open, remoxe the bottom screw from each hinge on the
dr_er tace. Insert these screws about halt\va_ into the TOP holes, for each
hinoe_, on the opposite side (where you removed the filler plugs).
Apply firm pressure to _oet the screw started in new holes.

the door was remoxed. _,_ith these screws, secure each hinge at the bottom.
Tighten the two top screws of each hinge Reinsert the plastic )luo-s} 6' on
the side from which the door was remoxed.

The countdown display shows the remaining operating time as well as the current drying cycle. The
display board is configured for a 45-minute dry time at the factory to correspond with the 45-minute
timer cam pre-installed in the coin box. If the timer cam is modified for another operating duration,
the dip switches on the display board should be set as follows:

For the best drying pertom_ance, the dxTer needs to be properly vented. The dryer will use more energy
and run longer if it is not vented to the below specifications. Carefully follow the details on Exhausting in the
Installation Instructions.
• Use only rigid metal 4" diameter (lu('twork inside the (hTer cabinet. Use only rigid metal or
flexible metal 4" diameter ductwork fi)r exhausting to the outside.
• Do not use plastic or other combustible ductwork.
• Use the shortest length possible.
• Do not crush, kink or collapse the duct.
• Avoid resting the duct on shaq_ objects.

General Electric automatic d_Ter may wish to locate the coin box and controls in any of
a number of locations. The responsibility for tile proper performance of this work lies
solely with tile purchaser. It should be done 1)y properly trained and qualified personnel,
and in accordance with local code requirements.
In addition, General Electric Company assumes no responsibility or liability' whatsoever to
tile purchaser for any parent infringement expenses, either in the form of damages or legal
costs, where tile alleged inflingement is based on a patent claim including one or more
