When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed,
including the following:
WARNING: A risk of fire and electric shock exists in all electrical appliances and may
cause personal injury or death. Please follow all safety instructions.
1. READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE
USING APPLIANCE.
2. The appliance is hot during operation
and retains heat for some time af ter
being switched off. Do not touch hot
surface such as base and grill plate.
Use handles or control knobs. Never
move the appliance during use.
3. Close supervision is necessar y when
the appliance is used by or near
children and disabled persons.
4. Do not operate unattended, and never
leave the appliance unattended when
connected to power outlet.
5. Unplug the appliance from power
outlet after use and before cleaning.
To disconnect, switch OFF then remove
plug from wall outlet. Allow to cool
before putting on or taking off par ts,
and before cleaning the appliance.
6. Do not operate any appliance with
a damaged cord or plug or af ter the
appliance malfunctions, or has been
damaged in any manner. Return
appliance to the nearest authorized
service facility for examination, repair
or adjustment.
7. The use of accessory attachments not
recommended by the manufacturer
may cause injuries and may damage
the appliance.
10. Do not place on or near a hot gas or
electric burner, or in a heated oven.
11. Do not use the appliance for other
than intended use.
12. To protect against electric shock, do
not immerse the control box, cord set
or the plug in water or other liquid.
13. Ensure that there are no flammable
objects on or close to the appliance
while in use. If the appliance catches
fire, unplug it. Never use water to
extinguish the fire.
14. Do not cut food on the grill plate to
avoid damaging the non-stick coating.
Prepare the food on carving board.
15. Never put the reflector or metal foil
or other utensils on the grill plate
during grilling.
16. Beware of fat spitting while grilling fat
or juicy meat.
17. Extreme caution must be used when
moving an appliance containing hot
oil or other hot liquids.
18. Always attach plug to appliance first,
then plug cord in the wall outlet. To
disconnect, turn any control to “off”,
then remove plug from wall outlet.
19. Do not operate grill without the drip
pan installed.
8. Do not use outdoors.
9. Do not let the cord hang over edge of
table or touch hot surfaces.
CAUTION: Hot Surface, use handles or
control knobs.
a) A short power supply cord is
provided to reduce risk of becoming
entangled in or tripping over a long
cord.
b) Extension cords may be used if care
is exercised in their use.
c) If extension cord is used,
1) The marked electric rating of the
cord or extension cord should be at
least 120V, 10A.
2) The longer cord should be arranged
so that it will not drape over the
countertop or table top where it can
be pulled on by children or tripped
over unintentionally.
This appliance has a polarized plug (one
blade is wider than the other). To reduce
the risk of electric shock, this plug is
intended to fit into a polarized outlet only
one way. If the plug does not fit fully into
the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does
not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do
not attempt to modify the plug in any way.
If the electric circuit is overloaded with
other appliances, your appliance may not
operate. It should be operated on a
separate electrical circuit from other
appliances. If you are not sure the reason
of overloading or cannot find a separate
circuit, contact a qualified electrician.
1. This appliance is designed for indoor
use only.
2. If the appliance is used for the first
time, follow the cleaning instructions to
clean the appliance first.
3. Plug in the electrical outlet, i.e. 120V
nominal branch circuit.
4. When using the grill, put the reflector
inside the base. Do not use the grill
without the reflector.
5. Spread a little vegetable oil on the grill
plate before the grill is turned on.
6. Turn the control knob clockwise to
switch on the grill. The grill will stop
automatically when it reaches the
temperature. The grill will turn on
automatically again when the
temperature of the grill has dropped to
a certain level. Turn the knob to
maximum setting if you want
continuous grilling. Wait approximately
10 minutes to allow the unit to preheat.
8. Grill the food according to your own
taste. Grilling time depends on the
kinds of food, initial temperature of the
food and its thickness.
9. When the grilling is finished, turn the
control knob to “off” to switch off the
grill. Unplug the appliance after use.
CAUTION: To prevent damage to
countertop or table top, use a nonflammable, heat resistant trivet or
placemat between the appliance and the
countertop or table top sur face. Never
place on carpet, furniture, or other
combustible materials. Be cautious of hot
splashing oil during cooking.
7. Put the food directly on the grill plate.
Never put metal foil or utensils on the
grill plate. The grill is suitable for all
kinds of meat, fish and vegetables.
