Instructions for 120VAC/15A MAX
Single Pole Switches with
Pressure-Lock® (Push-In) &
Screw Terminals.
Pressure-Lak® terminals for use on 15 Amp
branch circuitswith No. W AWG solid copper
conductors only. Do not use on 20A
branch circuit. Screw terminals for use
with No. 12 or 10 AWG copper wire.
II Shut off
power to the
circuit at fuse
box or circuit
breaker.
Remove wall
plate and test
to be sure
power has
been
completely
disconnected.
21 Remove old
switch from
wall box and
disconnect
31 For screw terminals, strip off
3/4 ■ of insulation from the ends of the
wires. Reconnectwiresto FIOT terminals
on new switch, forming wireclocl«/ise
3/4 around screw os shown.
For push-in terminals, strip off 1/2" of
insulation and insert into the push-in
terminals. NOTE; To release Push-In
wires, insert screwdriver into release slot
and pull outwirewhile applying
