The cooling rack
• Assemble the cooling rack by placing each panel into the slots
provided in the separate base-plate.
Getting started
• Plug in and press the «on/off» key. After the working temperature
has been reached the green light comes on and an audible signal
will indicate the binding operation can commence.
Fanning and jogging the paper
• The sheets of paper must be fanned to ensure every sheet comes in
contact with the glue.
Inserting the paper in cover
• Ensure every sheets is inserted into the spine of the cover.
The binding operation
• The cover must be inserted into the binder so spine is in contact
with the heating element. The binding cycle will be released
automatically and visual indicated. After completion of the digital
controlled binding cycle the green light «ready» comes on and at
the same time an audible signal will be heard. This audible signal
will be reapeated as long as the document is left in the binding unit.
The binding unit is now ready to receive the next cover. 45 minutes
after the last binding operation an automatic security system turns
«off» the binding unit.
Removing the cover
• After audible signal is heard remove the document immediately.
Note: if document is left in the binding unit for too long, the quality
of binding could be affected. Jog the complete document once
firmly down on its spine. This ensures that every sheet is inserted
into the glue.

Squeezing the back
• Hold the completed document in one hand and with thumb and
one finger, squeeze the back together to ensure that the first and
last sheets are properly bound. This will also guarantee the correct
U-form of the cover spine.

Guarantee
This machine is guaranteed for one year, subject to normal use. The
determination of what is ‘normal use’ and whether or not a product is
judged to be faulty, either through normal wear and tear or by being
defective at the point of purchase or otherwise, is entirely at the
discretion of the General Binding Corporation, on a case-by-case basis.
Proof of date of purchase will be required. Repairs or alterations made
by persons not authorised by GBC will invalidate the guarantee. It is our
aim to ensure that our products perform to the specifications stated.
This guarantee does not affect the legal rights which consumers have
under applicable national legislation governing the sale of goods.

Cooling
• Place bound document in the cooling rack to allow adequate cooling.
Should any sheets be incorrectly bound please repeat the binding
operation (refer steps 6-10).
Folding the score mark
• Fold back the front cover along the score mark as this will ensure
easy opening of the completed document.
On safety
• The unit is not disconnected from the AC power source as long
as it is connected to the wall outlet, even if the unit itself has been
turned off.

• Monter les Compartiments de refroidissement en plaçant les deux
éléments dans les encoches des deux petits socles constituant la
base de cet accessoire.
Mise Mettre en route
• Brancher l'appareil et appuyer sur l'interrupteur on/off. Lorsque la
température «de travail» est atteinte, un voyant vert s'allume et un
signal sonore indique que l'opération de reliure peut commencer.
Aérer et taquer le papier
• Ces deux opérations sont instamment recommandées, afin d'obtenir
un travail relié irréprochable.
Introduire les feuilles dans la couverture
• Vérifier que les feuilles sont insérées à fond dans le dos de la
couverture afin qu’elles rentrent bien en contact avec la colle lors de
l’opération de reliure.
Le processus de Relier
• Placer la couverture dans l'appareil, le dos au contact de la plague
chauffante. La reliure se fait automatiquement. Lorsque celle-ci est
terminée, le témoin vert «ready» s'allume en même temps qu'un
signal sonore retentit. (Ce signal sera répété, aussi longtemps que le
document reste dans l'appareil). Le thermorelieur est à nouveau prêt
à recevoir d'autres couvertures. 45 minutes après la dernière reliure,
un système de sécurité automatique «arrête» la machine.
Retirer le document
• Lorsque le signal sonore retentit, retirer immédiatement le document.
Attention: le fait de laisser trop longtemps la couverture dans
l'appareil sous tension peut être préjudiciable à la qualité du produit
fini. Pour terminer, taquer fermement le dos du document.

Presser le dos de la couverture
• Tenir le document dans une main, et de l'autre presser entre le
pouce et l'index le dos du document pour que la première et la
dernière feuille soient bien collées. Ceci permet également de
donner à la couverture son profil en «U» caractéristique.

Laisser refroidir
• Placer le document relié dans le refoidisseur prévu à cet effet. Si,
contre toute attente, une feuille paraissait ne pas avoir été collée
correctement, il suffirait de corriger son positionnement et de
recommencer les opérations (réf 6 à 8).
Renforcer de la rainure frontale
• Plier vers l'arrière le long de la marque la première page de la
couverture, de telle façon que le dossier puisse s'ouvrir facilement.
Sécurité
• L'appareil reste toujours sous tension tant qu'il demeure branché,
même si l’interrupteur est sur la position off.
Garantie
Le fonctionnement de cette machine est garanti pendant un an à
compter de la date d’achat, sous réserve de conditions normales
d’utilisation. Durant la période de garantie, GBC choisira de réparer
ou remplacer gratuitement la machine. Les défauts dus à une
mauvaise utilisation ou une utilisation non appropriée ne sont pas
couverts par cette garantie. La preuve de la date d’achat sera
demandée. Les réparations ou modifications effectuées par des
personnes non autorisées par GBC invalideront la garantie. Notre
objectif est de nous assurer que nos produits réalisent les
performances déclarées. Cette garantie n’affecte pas les droits
légaux des consommateurs au titre de la législation nationale en
vigueur régissant la vente des biens de consommation.

Der Kühlständer
• Stecker Sie die vier Kunststoffelemente in die Grundplatte.
Gerät in Betrieb nehmen
• Gerät anschliessen. Folientastatur «on/off» drücken. Nach dem
Aufheizzyklus ertönt ein akustisches Signal (grünes Licht leuchtet
auf). Ihr Gerät ist nun betriebsbereit.
Das Papier auffächern
• Das Auffächern und Aufstossen des Papiers dient dazu, sämtliche
Blätter gleichmässig vom Leim erfassen zu lassen.
Das Papier in die Mappe einlegen
• Halten Sie das Papier fest und legen Sie dieses in den Bund der
Mappe.
Das Binden
• Die Mappe mit dem Buchrücken nach unten in das Gerät stellen. Der
Bindezyklus wird automatisch ausgelöst und optisch angezeigt. Nach
Abschluss des digital gesteuerten Bindezyklus leuchtet das grüne
Licht «ready» auf, gleichzeitig ertönt ein akustisches Signal. Dieses
Signal wiederholt sich bis zur Entnahme des Bindegutes. Das Gerät
ist nun fürden nächsten Bindevorgang betriebsbereit. Automatische
Sicherheits-abschaltung 45 Minuten nach letztem Bindevorgang.
Die Mappe herausnehmen
• Nehmen Sie die Mappe nach dem ertönen des akustischen Signals
sofort heraus. Achtung! Das Stehenlassen der Mappe im Gerät kann
die Qualität Ihrer Bindung beeinträchtigen. Stossen Sie die Mappe
einmal auf dem Buchrücken auf, damit die Blätter vollständig in den
Leim versinken.

Den Falz glattstreichen
• Halten Sie die Mappe seitlich fest und streichen Sie mit 2 Fingern
entlang des Falzes. Das garantiert einerseits eine saubere U-Form
und andererseits, dass das erste und letzte Blatt optimal verleimt
sind.

Das Abkühlen
• Stellen Sie die Mappe in den Kühlständer, bis diese abgekühlt ist.
Falls Sie feststellen, dass einige Blätter schlecht gebunden sind,
wiederholen Sie den Bindevorgang und rücken dabei die Blätter in
die richtige Position.
Netzstecker
• Eine Trennung vom Stromnetz ist nur durch Ziehen des Netzsteckers
möglich.
Garantie
Wir übernehmen die Garantie für die Funktionsfähigkeit dieser
Maschine bei normaler Nutzung für ein Jahr ab Kaufdatum. Innerhalb
des Garantiezeitraums repariert oder ersetzt GBC die schadhafte
Maschine kostenlos und nach eigenem Ermessen. Mängel aufgrund
von Mißbrauch oder Zweckentfremdung fallen nicht unter die Garantie.
Das Kaufdatum ist nachzuweisen. Reparaturen oder Veränderungen,
die nicht von GBC autorisierten Personen durchgeführt werden, heben
die Garantie auf. Wir wollen sicherstellen, dass unsere Produkte die in
den Spezifikationen angegebenen Leistungen erbringen. Diese Garantie
beeinträchtigt keine gesetzlichen Rechte, die Verbraucher gemäß der
jeweils geltenden nationalen Rechtsprechung bezüglich des Verkaufs
von Waren haben.

Settore di raffreddamento
• Montare il settore di raffreddamento inserendo ogni pannello nelle
corrispondenti scanalature del piatto-base separatamente fornito.
Operazioni iniziali
• Inserire la spina nella corrente e premere il tasto «on/off» su «on».
Al raggiungimento della temperatura di lavoro si accenderà la spia
verde e contemporaneamente un segnale acustico darà la possibilità
di iniziare le operazioni di rilegatura.
«Smazzare» e sventagliare i fogli di carta
• I fogli di carta devono essere «smazzati» e sventagliati per
assicurarsi che ogni foglio sia a contatto con la colla.
Inserimento dei fogli nella copertina
• Assicurarsi che ogni foglio risulti accuratamente inserito nel dorso
della copertina.
Operazione di rilegatura
• La copertina deve essere inserita nella rilegatrice in modo che il
dorso aderisca alla piastra riscaldante. Il ciclo di rilegatura si realizza
automaticamente con indicazione visiva perché al completamento
del ciclo di rilegatura, a controllo digitale, la spia verde di «pronto»
si accenderà e, nello stesso tempo si udirà un segnale acustico
che durerà fino a quando sarà prelevato il fascicolo rilegato. A
questo punto la rilegatrice sarà pronta per una successiva rilegatura.
45 minuti dopo l'ultima operazione di rilegatura un controllo
automatico di sicurezza provvederà a disinserire la macchina.
Rimozione della copertina
• Dopo il segnale acustico rimuovere immediatamente il documento.
Nota Bene: se il documento viene lasciato nella rilegatrice troppo
a lungo, la qualità della rilegatura potrebbe essere compromessa.
Battere in modo deciso il dorso del fascicolo su un piano rigido
per la perfetta incollatura di ogni foglio alla copertina stessa.
