General Information
The Model 12702-001 (AC) Amplifier Printed Circuit Board Assembly (PCBA) Replacement Kit is used with the following EZ Page Intercom models: GC-AC1 and GC-AC2. The Model 12702-002 (DC) Amplifier PCBA Replacement Kit is used with the Model GC-DC1 EZ Page Intercom. Each kit consists of the PCBA only–no ot her pa rts are required.

Removing the Defective PCBA
WARNING
1. Disconnec t power to the unit.
2. Using the # 2 screwdriver , remove the s ix fr ont pa nel s c rews t hat secur e the front cover t o the housing.
3. Slowly pull the front cover ass embly f rom the rear housing—do not str es s the attached wires.
4. Ca refully dis c onnect the following connectors f rom the printed cir c uit board ass embly ( PCBA): P1, P2, P3, and P4.
Disconnect power f rom the unit before opening or servic ing the unit.
5. Remove the fus e ( F1) from it s holder a nd reta in.

6. Using the #1 screwdriver, remove the screw that secures the fuseholder to the mounting brac ket and retain.
7. Carefully p ull the fr ont cover a ssembly away from t h e en closur e. Note the location of the speaker volume/on-off switch (R1/SW1) a nd Listen/Talk switch (SW2) for reinstallation.
8. Ensu re tha t the speaker volume/on-off switch (R1/S W 1) is turned fully cou nter clockwise t o the off position.
9. Using the hex allen wrench, loosen the t wo screws that s ec ure t he knob . Remove knob and reta in.
10. Using the 5/8-inch wrench, remove the sealing nu t holding the Lis ten/T alk switc h to the front cover and reta in.

11. Using the 1/2-inch wrench, remove the sealing nu t holding the sp eaker volume/on- of f switch (R1/SW1) t o the front cover and ret ain. N
OTE:
This will allow separa tion of the front cover from the PCBA’s heatsi nk p l ate.
12. Carefully remove the sp eaker volume/on-of f switch ( R1/SW1) a nd Listen/ Ta lk switch (SW2) from the ba c k of the PCB A’ s heatsink pla te, noting their location and orientation for reins tallation.
Installing the New PCBA
1. Before installing the new PC BA, modify the new PCBA’s
LAVE/MASTER switch and the

AL/UNBAL jumper settings to match

the old PC B A’ s sett ings, if neces sary. Refer to Figure 1.
2. Place the new PCBA’s heats i nk plate and front cover together.
3. Reinst all the sp eaker volume/on- of f switch (R1/SW1) through the heatsink pla te and t hrough t he f ront

cover. Ensure that the associated anti - rotation pin is pr operly inserted into the locking notch a nd the at tached wires are positioned towa rds t he f use holder location. Refer to F igure 2.
4. Push the small p anel sealing nut over the spea ker volume/on-off switch’s shaft and lightly tight en aga i nst the f ront cover.

5. Ensu re tha t the Lis ten/T alk switch’s supplied hex nu t is screwed tight ly against t he s wit c h body and t he anti - rotation r i ng ( loc king tab f acing t he hea tsink plate) is positioned correctly before reins talling.
6. Reinst all the Listen/Talk switch through t he hea tsink pl ate a nd f ront cover. (Orient the bat handle toward the L
ISTEN position as indic ated on the f ront panel lab el.
7. Push the sea ling nut over the bat handle and tighten against the front c over.
8. Tight en the spea ker volume/on-off switch’s sealing nut a gainst the front cover.
9. Reinst all the fu seholder to the mounting bracket with the s c rew pr eviou sly removed. R efer to F i gure 2.
10. Reins tall the fu se (F1) into its holder.
11. Caref ully reconnect the following connectors t o the PCB A ( refer t o Figure 1:
P1 to J1 P2 to J2 P3 to J3 P4 to J4
12. Caref ully reinsert the f ront cover as sembly into the u nits’ hou sing. Us e caut ion to not pinch any wir es between the front cover and t he housing.
13. Reinsta ll the six front c over screws and tighten securely.
14. With the speaker volume on-off switch fully count erclockwise, rea tta c h the knob. Positi on the knob’s white dot adjacent to the off dot on the fr ont pa nel label and retight en b oth set s c rews.
15. R eapply power a nd c hec k f or proper opera tion.

Warranty
Equipment. GAI-Tronics warrants for a period of one (1) year from the date of shipment, that any
GAI-Tronics equipment supplied hereunder shall be free of defects in material and workmanship, shall comply with the then-current product specifications and product literature, and if applicable, shall be fit for the purpose specified in the agreed-upon quotation or proposal document. If (a) Seller’s goods prove to be defective in workmanship and/or material under normal and proper usage, or unfit for the purpose specified and agreed upon, and (b) Buyer’s claim is made within the warranty period set forth above, Buyer may return such goods to GAI-Tronics’ nearest depot repair facility, freight prepaid, at which time they will be repaired or replaced, at Seller’s option, without charge to Buyer. Repair or replacement shall be Buyer’s sole and exclusive remedy. The warranty period on any repaired or replacement equipment shall be the greater of the ninety (90) day repair warranty or one (1) year from the date the original equipment was shipped. In no event shall GAI-Tronics warranty obligations with respect to equipment exceed 100% of the total cost of the equipment supplied hereunder. Buyer may also be entitled to the manufacturer’s warranty on any third-party goods supplied by GAI-Tronics hereunder. The applicability of any such third-party warranty will be determined by GAI-Tronics.
Services. Any services GAI-Tronics provides hereunder, whether directly or through subcontractors,
shall be performed in accordance with the standard of care with which such services are normally provided in the industry. If the services fail to meet the applicable industry standard, GAI-Tronics will re-perform such services at no cost to buyer to correct said deficiency to Company's satisfaction provided any and all issues are identified prior to the demobilization of the Contractor’s personnel from the work site. Re-performance of services shall be Buyer’s sole and exclusive remedy, and in no event shall GAI­Tronics warranty obligations with respect to services exceed 100% of the total cost of the services provided hereunder.
Warranty Periods. Every claim by Buyer alleging a defect in the goods and/or services provided
hereunder shall be deemed waived unless such claim is made in writing within the applicable warranty periods as set forth above. Provided, however, that if the defect complained of is latent and not discoverable within the above warranty periods, every claim arising on account of such latent defect shall be deemed waived unless it is made in writing within a reasonable time after such latent defect is or should have been discovered by Buyer.
Limitations / Exclusions. The warranties herein shall not apply to, and GAI-Tronics shall not be
responsible for, any damage to the goods or failure of the services supplied hereunder, to the extent caused by Buyer’s neglect, failure to follow operational and maintenance procedures provided with the equipment, or the use of technicians not specifically authorized by GAI-Tronics to maintain or service the equipment. THE WARRANTIES AND REMEDIES CONTAINED HEREIN ARE IN LIEU OF AND EXCLUDE ALL OTHER WARRANTIES AND REMEDIES, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED BY OPERATION OF LAW OR OTHERWISE, INCLUDING ANY WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.
Return Policy
If the equipment requires service, contact your Regional Service Center for a return authorization number (RA#). Equipment should be shipped prepaid to GAI-Tronics with a return authorization number and a purchase order number. If the equipment is under warranty, repairs or a replacement will be made in accordance with the warranty policy set forth above. Please include a written explanation of all defects to assist our technicians in their troubleshooting efforts.
