IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
WARNING
The followings indicate a potentially hazardous situation that could result in serious injury or death if the instructions are ignored and the product is handled incorrectly as a result.
Do not tamper with the interior of the antenna by opening the case or disassembling the antenna. This can cause an electric shock or injury. For inspection, adjustment or repair of the interior, contact a retailer or a business that provides this service.
Do not stand on the antenna or installation devices or hang on them. This can cause damage or injury resulting from the product falling or being toppled. Caution is especially required in households with a child.
The AC adapter for this antenna should be operated only from a standard 120 V 60 Hz AC outlet. If you are not sure of the type of power supply to your home, contact your local power company.
Slots and openings in the cabinets are provided for ventilation and to ensure reliable operation and prevent overheating. Do not use on a bed, sofa, rug, or similar surface.
Do not attempt to service this antenna yourself as opening or removing covers may expose you to dangerous voltage or other hazards and voids your warranty. Refer servicing to qualified service personnel.
Do not expose the AC adapter and antenna to moisture of any kind. Use of any AC adapter not included with the antenna or recommended or sold by the antenna manufacturer may result in a risk of fire, electric shock, or injury and will void your warranty.
Do not disassemble the AC adapter or antenna. Incorrect reassembly may result in a risk of electric shock. Disassembly of product by unauthorized personnel will result in voiding your product warranty. To reduce the risk of electric shock, unplug AC adapter from outlet before attempting any maintenance or clearing.
CAUTIONS
The followings indicate a potentially hazardous situation that could result in equipment damage or malfunction if the instructions are ignored and the product is handled incorrectly as a result.
Do not hang your laundry or other items on the antenna or installation devices. This can cause
damage or injury resulting from the product being toppled.
Failure to do so may cause injury such as an injured eye resulting from being struck by an
element tip.
Do not use this antenna near water. Keep away from a bathtub, sink, wet basement or swimming
pool and other wet places.
Unplug the antenna from the AC outlet before cleaning. Use a lint free cloth for cleaning the
outside of the unit only. Do not use aerosol cleaners.
To reduce the risk of electric shock, do not remove the cover or back of the AC adapter or
antenna. There are no user serviceable parts inside.
If you spill liquid on the AC adapter or antenna, disconnect the AC adapter’s adapter cable from
the AC outlet to prevent possible fire or shock hazard and consult authorized service personnel.
To prevent damage to internal parts, do not expose the antenna to moisture.
Maintain electrical safety. Powerline-operated equipment or accessories connected to this unit
should bear the UL listing mark on the accessories themselves and should not have been modified so as to defeat the safety features. This will help avoid any potential hazard from electrical shock or fire.
Before using the AC adapter or antenna, read all instructions and cautionary markings on the AC
adapter and antenna.
To reduce risk of damage to the AC adapter, do not pull on the cord to disconnect from the AC
outlet. Instead, disconnect the unit from the outlet by pulling on the plug rather than the cord.
Make sure the cord is located so that it will not be stepped on, tripped over, or otherwise
subjected to damage or stress.
Do not operate the AC adapter or antenna with a damaged cord or plug. Replace it immediately.
Do not operate the AC adapter or antenna if it has received a sharp blow, been dropped, or
otherwise damaged in any way.
Do not install the antenna near heat sources such as radiations or air ducts, or in a place subject
to direct sunlight, excessive dust, mechanical vibration, or shock.
Do not use alcohol, benzine, or thinner to clean antenna’s surfaces.
Be sure to save instructions for future reference.
Unplug AC adapter from AC outlet if antenna is not used for long time.
