Environmentally Enhanced Convertible Bump Case User Guide
INSTRUCTIONS
This case is designed to provide a compact, environmentally enhanced solution for using and transporting your Fujitsu Tablet PC. This case incorporates a clear lens that covers the display. This helps protect the system from dust contamination and light liquid splashing.
The convertible bump case is designed so that you can use your system either in notebook or tablet configuration.

IMPORTANT
• If you plan to keep your Tablet PC installed in the case for a long time without being operated, be sure to shut the system down so that it does not overheat.
• Do not attempt to open the optical drive when the tablet is installed in the case. Doing so could damage the disc tray. Open the disc tray ONLY when the tablet has been removed from the case.

2. Place the system into the case and tuck the front corners of the keyboard under the clear corner straps. (Figure 4)
3. Pull the top of the case flat against the back of the display and tuck the top corners of the display under the display straps. (Figure 5)

There are D-rings on all four corners of the case. To attach the shoulder strap, open the spring-loaded clips on the end of the strap, and attach them to two of the D-rings. The Drings can also be used as an attachment point for a pen tether. (Figure 2 shows the location of the D-rings.)
Modular Bay Cover
There is a cover over the modular bay slot that is attached with two snaps. To access the modular bay, simply unsnap the two snaps. NOTE: The modular bay cover is to be used only for removing and replacing a modular battery. Do NOT attempt to open the optical disc drive tray through this slot, otherwise it could be damaged.

Accessing the USB Ports
There are two covers over the USB ports. If you would like access to these ports, you will need to cut the covers off using a sharp bladed object, such as an X-Acto blade. Be sure to remove the system before attempting to remove the covers. Note that removal of the covers is permanent.
To remove the covers, carefully cut along the outside of the padded covers over the USB ports (See Figures 5 and 7).
Caring for the Case
The convertible bump case is made of rugged materials, and is designed to withstand daily use. Treat the case as you would a quality briefcase or purse.
Occasionally, the case may become soiled. To clean it, brush it with a short-bristled brush. If necessary, use a clean cloth and warm soapy water to wash the soiled area. Do not submerge the case in water, as it may become warped.
