Disassembly Instructions
ALWAYS SHUT OFF POWER BEFORE ANY WORK

After removing all the screws, take a flat head screwdriver and locate where the top of
the cover clips in. Gently pry the top of the cover off at the locations shown. The pull the

Next you need to
separate the coil
from the blower
wheel and drain
pan. Remove the
2 screws on the
right and 2 screws
on the left.
Remove the fan
motor cover
screw.
Disconnect the
field wires from
the terminal
block and make
sure they are not
attached to the
unit anywhere.

Once all screws have been removed, the fan section should be able to drop out of the unit.

Unclip the bottom of the unit from the wall bracket. Disconnect the drain line from the back
of the unit. The drain pan, blower wheel, and fan motor should drop out of the unit now.

Fix a plastic sheet around the
evaporator enough to protect the
wall, floor, and a reasonable area
around the evaporator.
Use a non-acidic HVAC coil cleaner.
Follow the instruction on the cleaning
solution on how to apply and rinse the
cleaner.

Cleaning the Drain Pan
Remove the blower wheel from the from the
drain pan and remove the blower motor.
Example: Simple Green
Use a ready to use non-acid cleaner,
make sure to follow the instructions on
the cleaning solution.
Make sure to dry the drain pan
before re-installing.

Cleaning the Blower Wheel
After cleaning the blower wheel, be sure
to lubricate the fan holder with a
silicone grease.
Be sure to clean the blower wheel with
warm water and allow the blower wheel
time to dry before placing the wheel in
the system.

HOW TO AVOID MOLD AND MILDEW GROWTH
INSPECT AND CLEAN ALL FILTERS PERIODICALLY.
INSPECT AND CLEAN ALL COILS PERIODICALLY.
PROPERLY SEAL ALL PENETRATION HOLES.
PROPERLY WRAP ALL PIPES THAT CONDENSATE.
