Installation and Leveling of Stainless Steel
All Refrigerator, All Freezer
Division: 46
Installation
All Refrigerator and All Freezer
Topic:
Instructions for installing and leveling.
Electrical Information:
1. Each unit must be plugged into its own dedicated 115 Volt, 60 Hz.,
AC circuit.
2. The power cord of each unit is equipped with a three-prong grounding
plug for protection against shock hazards. It must be plugged directly
into a properly grounded three-prong receptacle, protected with a 15
amp time delay fuse or circuit breaker.
3. Do Not connect units to a Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter (GFCI)
circuit.
Location:
1. The units must be installed on a floor that is level and strong enough
to support a fully loaded refrigerator and freezer.
2. Consider water supply availability for models equipped with an
automatic ice maker.
Clearances:
1. Allow the following clearances for ease of installation, proper air
circulation, plumbing and electrical connections.
• Sides -------------- 3/8”
• Top & Back ------ 1”
• Between units ---------- 3/16”
2. Do Not block toe grille on the lower front of the units. Sufficient air
circulation is essential for the proper operation of the units.

Wood Base Removal:
1. Remove two leveling legs provided in literature bag. While unit is
lying on its back, remove four 3/8” hex crating bolts from wood base.
Remove and discard wood base.
2. Install both leveling legs in rear of unit and loosen front leveling legs if
necessary. See Fig. A
Leveling Instructions for Refrigerator and Freezer:
1. Leveling leg adjustments may require a 1-1/4” wrench.
2. Level door of the refrigerator using all four levelers and slide unit into
place. Recheck for levelness and adjust if necessary.
3. Measure distance from floor to bottom of door on the refrigerator.
Adjust and level the freezer so door height matches.
4. Leveling Leg Adjustments: See Fig. B
• One full turn of all four leveling legs will raise door 5/32”.
• One full turn of both front leveling legs will raise door 3/16” and
tilt top of door back 7/16”.
• One full turn of both rear leveling legs will lower door 1/32” and
tilt top of door forward 7/16”.
• One full turn of both side leveling legs will raise door 3/16” and
tilt top of door 3/8”.
5. Slide the freezer into place leaving a minimum gap of 3/16” between
units for door swing clearance.
6. This last step may require at least one unit to be taken out of location
to properly align units in a built-in application.
7. Properly aligned units should have level doors which are flush and
parallel. See Fig. C
