TapeWare AIT drives use Advanced Metal Evaporated (AME) media, which con-
tains pur

Carbon (DLC) coating. In addition, AIT drives incorporate a Super Head Cleaner

mechanism

t is activated automatically when tape errors approach a certain

in extraordinary reliability and virtually eliminate the need for periodic cleaning.
