This manual provides instructions for basic use of the unit.
Read this before using the unit for the rst time.

•WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do not expose this
apparatus to rain or moisture.
•CAUTION: Use of any controls or adjustments or performance of procedures
other than those herein specified may result in hazardous radiation exposure.
•WARNING: Changes or modifications to this unit not expressly approved
by the party responsible for compliance could void the user’s authority to
operate the equipment.
•WARNING: Do not place the unit on top of any soft, porous, or sensitive
surfaces to avoid damaging the surface. Use a protective barrier between the
unit and surface to protect the surface.
•WARNING: Use of this unit near fluorescent lighting may cause interference
regarding use of the remote. If the unit is displaying erratic behavior move
away from any fluorescent lighting, as it may be the cause.
•CAUTION: Danger of explosion if battery is incorrectly replaced. Replace only
with the same or equivalent type.
•WARNING: Do not install this equipment in a confined space such as a book
case or similar unit.
IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

7) Do not block any ventilation openings. Install in accordance with the
manufacturer’s instructions.
8) Do not install near any heat sources such as radiators, heat registers, stoves,
or other apparatus (including amplifiers) that produce heat.
9) Do not defeat the safety purpose of the polarized or grounding-type plug. A
polarized plug has two blades with one wider than the other. A grounding
type plug has two blades and a third grounding prong. The wide blade or
the third prong are provided for your safety. If the provided plug does not
fit into your outlet, consult an electrician for replacement of the obsolete
outlet.
10) Protect the power cord from being walked on or pinched particularly at
plugs, convenience receptacles, and the point where they exit from the
apparatus.
11) Only use the power cable/AC adapter/attachments/accessories specified by
the manufacturer.
•WARNING: Mains plug is used as disconnect device and it should remain
readily operable during intended use. In order to disconnect the apparatus
from the mains completely, the mains plug should be disconnected from the
mains socket outlet completely.
•Do not mix old and new batteries. Do not mix alkaline, standard (carbonzinc),
or rechargeable (ni-cad, ni-mh, etc) batteries.
CAUTION
12) Use only with the cart, stand, tripod, bracket, or
table specified by the manufacturer, or sold with the
apparatus. When a cart is used, use caution when
moving the cart/apparatus combination to avoid
injury from tipover.
13) Unplug this apparatus during lightning storms or
when unused for long periods of time.
14) Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel.
Servicing is required when the apparatus has been damaged in any way,
such as power supply cord or plug is damaged, liquid has been spilled or
objects have fallen into the apparatus, the apparatus has been exposed to
rain or moisture, does not operate normally, or has been dropped.
15) The apparatus shall be used in an open area.
16) Apparatus shall not be exposed to dripping or splashing and that no
objects filled with liquids, such as vases, shall be placed on apparatus.
17) Mains plug is used as disconnect device. It shall remain readily operable and
should not be obstructed during intended use. To completely disconnect
the apparatus from supply mains, the main plug of the apparatus shall be
disconnected from the mains socket outlet completely.

equilateral triangle, is intended to alert the user to the

product’s enclosure that may be of sufficient magnitude to

2. IMPORTANT
In order to comply with FCC and ICES-003 requirements, use high quality
shielded cables for connection to accessories and / or another products. If
any cables are supplied with this product, they MUST be used. Follow all
installation instructions. Failure to do so could void your FCC / ICES-003
authorization to use this product in the USA / Canada.

This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a

PM0.4c are active speakers with high eciency, high-quality sound.
You can enjoy music with PM0.4c in various situations such as DTM, DJ, listening to PC audio,
watching TV and listening to portable audio players.

Equipped with stereo power amplier, plays back right channel of input signal.

Connects to the output of external device.

Connects to the [LEFT] terminal of the passive
speaker using the supplied speaker cable.
Connect (+) and (+), and (−) and (−) of the
active speaker and passive speaker. Left
channel of signal input from [INPUT] (L, R)
terminal is sent to the passive speaker via the
internal amplier.

Adjusts the volume.

⑤ [AUTO STANDBY MODE] switch
Switches the auto standby function ON/OFF.
Switch "ON" to enable the function, and switch
"OFF" to disable the function.
Auto standby function
When the auto standby function is ON, the
unit automatically goes into standby state
and the power indicator lights in red if input
to the unit stays below a certain level for
approximately 15 minutes. In standby state,
the power consumption is reduced to below
0.5 W. The unit will revert to its normal state
and the power indicator lights in blue when an
input signal is received again.

Passive speaker (L channel)
As the unit is not equipped with an amplier, play back the left channel of the input signal by connecting
to the active speaker using the supplied speaker cable.

The Affect of Immunity on This Equipment
The affect of the European Specification EN61000-6-1 (coexistence of electromagnetic waves - common immunity specification)
on this equipment are as shown below.
In the electrical fast transient/burst requirements, surge, conducted disturbances by radio-frequency fields, power frequency
magnetic field, radiate electromagnetic field requirements and static electricity discharging environment, this could be affected by
generation of noise in some cases.
