We congratulate you on the purchase of your new product. You have chosen a
high quality product. Familiarise yourself with the product before using it for the
first time. In addition, please carefully refer to the operating instructions and the
safety advice below. Only use the product as instructed and only for the indicated
field of application. Keep these instructions in a safe place. If you pass the product
on to anyone else, please ensure that you also pass on all the documentation
with it.
Safety advice
The product may only be used for the outdoor two-handed cutting of bushes and
shrubs. Use the product only as described and for the indicated purpose. The
product is not intended for commercial use.
J Always keep the product out of reach of children. Children often underesti-
mate danger. Store the product indoors in an enclosed, dry place where it
cannot be reached by children.
J Check that the product is in perfect condition before each use. Damaged
or loose components may lead to injury.

J DANGER OF INJURY! Never touch the cutting edges with your bare hands.
J Check that the telescopic handles are fixed in place properly. If not the
shears could become loose and cause injury to you or damage to property.

Use the following personal protective equipment when using the
product: Wear protective glasses, safety boots, protective gloves
and a safety helmet. This should ensure you are protected from
falling pieces of branches and injury from branches and thorns.
J Keep a proper footing and balance otherwise you could become injured.
J
WARNING! Avoid danger to life from electric shock. Do not
use the shears near high voltage wires, electricity cables, electric
fences, etc. Keep a minimum distance of 10 m away from high
voltage wires. The shears are not insulated against electric shock resulting
from contact with high voltage wires.
J
RISK OF INJURY AND FALLING!
Do not use the shears on ladders.
J DANGER OF INJURY! When not in use put the protective sleeve on the
blades.
J CAUTION! RISK OF INJURY! The branch and hedge shears are very
sharp and dangerous. Please exercise due caution at all times when working with them.

Attaching a saw blade (see Fig. B)
Note: Keep the protective sleeve on the saw during installing or removing it from
the cutter.
j Unscrew and remove the thumbscrew and washer.
j Insert the saw blade.
j Guide the bolts through the holes in the saw blade.
j Re-insert the washer and secure the connection with the thumbscrew.

Using the loppers (see Fig. D)
j Loosen the retaining pin of the loppers.
j Pull the plastic handle down to make a cut.
j As soon as you have finished working with the loppers, secure with the
retaining pin.

Setting the cutting angle (see Fig. E)
j Turn the rotating disc clockwise and choose one of the seven available
angle adjustments.
j Turn the rotating disc anticlockwise to fix it after the angle has been adjusted.
Note: Please ensure that the turning disc is fixed, before starting work.

Extending the telescopic pole (see Fig. F)
j Loosen the retaining pin to be able to extend the telescopic pole.
j Extend the telescopic pole to the desired length.
Note: The maximum length of the combination loppers is 2.77 m, the
minimum length is 2 m.
j Fasten the retaining pin well.
Note: Please ensure after each adjustment that the retaining pin is well secured.

Cutting and sawing branches
j Do not cut branches with diameters greater than 30 mm (see Fig. C).
j Use the branch saw for thicker branches. The maximum saw length is
300 mm (see Fig. C).

Care advice
j Clean the blades carefully after every use. Dirt and sap on the blades lead
to rust formation, obstruction of the cutting action and plant disease.
j Rub the metal parts with an oiled cloth to protect them from the build up of rust.
j Regular care carried out properly will ensure that your shears will give you
years of use.

Disposal
The packaging is made entirely of recyclable materials, which you
may dispose of at local recycling facilities.
Contact your local refuse disposal authority for more details of how to dispose
of your worn-out product.
Warranty
The product has been manufactured to strict quality guidelines and meticulously
examined before delivery. In the event of product defects you have legal rights
against the retailer of this product. Your legal rights are not limited in any way
by our warranty detailed below.
The warranty for this product is 3 years from the date of purchase. Should this
product show any fault in materials or manufacture within 3 years from the date
of purchase, we will repair or replace it – at our choice – free of charge to you.
The warranty period begins on the date of purchase. Please keep the original
sales receipt in a safe location. This document is required as your proof of
purchase. This warranty becomes void if the product has been damaged, or
used or maintained improperly.

The warranty applies to defects in material or manufacture. This warranty does
not cover product parts subject to normal wear, thus possibly considered consumables (e.g. batteries) or for damage to fragile parts, e.g. switches, rechargeab
batteries or glass parts.
