Contamination and disturbances can be eliminated by encapsulating your process machines. We have a com plete range of components for designing the enclosure that meets your particular needs. For example, our closed beams make a clean and professional impression, while serving their intended purpose of eliminating places where dirt and dust can hide. They are also designed to facilitate compact layouts and quick installa tion.

Easy to design and order

Machine enclosures and safety guards can be easily designed in the FlexLink Design Tool. With its built-in intelligence to help avoid errors, it saves valuable time for both design and mechanical engineers. The software tool also exports to STEP and SAT files allowing quick integration into the general machine or line drawing.

With the export feature of the bill of material (BoM),

including all necessary machining, ordering is completed

quick and easy. Intuitive assembly drawings that enable fast and trouble free installation can be easily prepared as well. BoM is imported into FlexLink’s e-commerce site, the Online Store - where you find CAD blocks for the most common CAD types for nearly all of FlexLink’s components. The full use of FlexLink’s engineering tools is a real time saver.

The range of profiles from the TC40 system consists of open profiles in types L (Light), B (Basic), H (Heavy) and U (Ultra) for moderate to high static and dynamic demands, and closed profiles in types BC (Basic Closed) and HC (Heavy Closed).

The range is complemented by a variety of angular and round-edged profiles. All series come with a standardised outer radius of 1mm to avoid visible cut edges and dirt traps. The reinforced slot geometry even permits the use of clampable joints in the standard TC40 L (Light) version.

Lengths and tolerance of our aluminium profiles

If no other tolerance is stated in the catalogue all “3 m” and “6 m” aluminium beams will be delivered with a length of 3030 ±5 mm respective 6070 ±5 mm.

The extra length compensates for cut losses on local site.

If no other range is mentioned in the catalogue L-cut aluminium profiles can be ordered in the range of 30-6000 mm.

Mounting Universal joints TC40

Step 1: Turn universal joint into the profile slot up to a depth of 1mm from the end face (TTSD 50x50).

Step 2: Swing T-slot nut into the slot in the continuous profile and move to the appropriate posi tion.

Step 3: Drive screw into the T-slot nut (fitted beforehand) and tighten. For this purpose, use mini bit ratchet (TTSD 98) and 6-mm ball-head hexagon socket (TTSD 6x98).

Step 4: Turn universal joint into the profile slot up to a depth of 1mm from the end face. (TTSD 50x50)

Step 5: Swing T-slot nut into the opened slot in the continuous

-

profile and move to the appro priate position

Step 6: Drive screw into the T-slot nut (fitted beforehand) and tighten.

Mounting Universal joints TC40, BC, HC

Step 1: Using hand punch, open slot cover on the continuous pro file (A).

Step 2: Using hand punch, open slot cover on the profile (B) being connected. For this purpose, use the end stop.

Step 3: Break open the remaining slot cover to the end of the profile, e.g. using a screwdriver.

Step 7: Press end cap on over the slot opening. (TCBE UJ64 G, TCBE UJ64 B)
