Field bus plugThereis a field bus plug on the nodefor connecting the node
to thefield bus. The two buscables, the power supply (+24V
and

areconnected to this plug.
The hardware basisof the businterfaceis theCAN−bus. It is
typicalfor this bus that the businterfaceissupplied with
power via thefield bus plug.
Connection to the busis made with a 5−pin M12socket
with
PG9 screw connector. You can order thesefrom Festo (type

3.2Testing the valves
Warning
Before the test:
S Switch off thecompressed air supply for the valves.
S In thecaseof a non−saved string assignment:
Save the existing string assignm
ent.
You can thereby avoid:
undesired or dangerous movementsof the actuators
repeated actuation of the SAVE button.
Caution
This test function runs automatically in the CP terminals.
All the valves areswitched on/offcyclically.
None of the programmed lockings or f
urther switching
conditions will be taken into account.

If the separate communication connection Strobed I/O" is
configured for the CP system (see Fig.2/5), the diagnostic
information from the above table (Fi

Please note
The outputs cannot be used again until the short circuit or

Deleting the error
You can delete the error by resetting all eight outputs. You
can do this in one of the following ways:
